I was at a bar last night and I had a conversation with a UNC alumni that went there in the 70's.

He said that he has never ever left a game early until the southern flordia game. It was sold out and by the 4th quarter there were about 15 people left in the stands.

He was talking to a Duke alumni and they had an extensive conversation about the NCSU FSU game and how great the fans are. Basically there opinion about state fans as far as bein fans is defined as "Insane." He said that he was sitting around the tv with 6 other UNC alumni watching the game and they all were pulling for us.

I think that FSU game did worlds of good, even more than I thought, for state fan's reputation.

It was weird for a NCSU Student, UNC alum, and Duke alum sitting there talking. Both seemed reasonable people.

But here is the thing, they were both old and not the douches that go there now and have been recently.

many older people are more accepting of other schools than we are. not that i havent seen my dads friend in his 50s get a fuck carolina chant started during march madness.
