9/8/2006 1:19:47 AM

9/8/2006 1:21:39 AM

9/8/2006 1:27:48 AM
im still waiting for an answer as to why bush/ republicans did not demand farenheit 911 to be pulled, but clinton/ dems have. also, i want an answer as to why the democrats want to censor the moviei want to know why they dont believe in freedom of speech

1) Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't being distributed to public schools.2) They aren't. The show's going to air.
9/8/2006 5:55:52 PM
I find it funny how the left defends Michael Moore until the cows come home but when a made for TV movie based on real events comes out they want it censored. It was the same thing with the Swift Vote Veterans. Freedom of expression and the press are dead in this country and Republicans aren't the only ones killing, Democrats hands are just as dirty. And the problem in the Middle East can be traced back to Mr. Peanut Jimmy Carter who was a worse President the Bush. If he hadn't stuck his nose into the Israel/Arab World situation we might not be in this boat now.
9/9/2006 12:18:21 AM
moore didnt shoot fictional scenes and claim they were factual. he flat out said he has opininions, and he cited all his facts. competely different. at least with him you can challenge any claim, any citation. but with fiction, its just fiction.
9/9/2006 12:27:25 AM
fiction??
9/9/2006 1:17:54 AM
yes, some scenes in the movie are fiction.[Edited on September 9, 2006 at 1:23 AM. Reason : 345]
9/9/2006 1:23:22 AM
hmm...not sure about that....i guess we will see
9/9/2006 1:28:09 AM
What is there not to be sure about? They have shown the scenes, they said that some were fiction, even joe scarborough has said that some of the scenes were fiction. And additionaly, they some of the scenes are not based on any fact. Which is what everyone has been saying.[Edited on September 9, 2006 at 1:49 AM. Reason : 234]

i thought docudrama meant that some of it was based on actual events, just like big budget hollywood films say based on actual events. The director takes some liberities to make it more dramatic.

We have a long history of poor decisions regarding the Islamic world. The consequences we are dealing with now have little to do with how Clinton and the Bushs handled terrorists, but rather the past mistakes that created them.

I wonder if anyone will show a "path to Katrina" or "path to tsunami" in 5 years. We usually manage to forget about the things that had a bigger impact.

I sitll fail to find too much logic in the argument that "But Fahrenheit 9/11 was at the theaters, it wasnt broadcast on TV"...yes you would have to pay to see it (although it came on TV eventually, like pretty much ANY movie in theaters)...but nobody forces you to watch anything
