The movie was great, I really laughed a lotand the part where Jay is doing the Buffalo Bill pose, I almost pissed myself laughing

I've never cared for any of Kevin Smith's movies, fell asleep during Clerks. I'll probably check this out when on DVD just to give it another shot, but generally don't understand the cult following. But I guess that's why it's "cult."
7/22/2006 9:17:53 PM
I thought I was going to be disappointed, but this movie kicked fucking ass. Probably the best movie I've seen at a cinema in a long time.
7/22/2006 11:09:05 PM
^^ Did you fall asleep before "thirty-seven?" Because Harvey Weinstein walked out of Clerks the first time he saw it and then once they made him stay past "thirty-seven" he bought the fucking picture.
7/23/2006 12:41:04 AM
I feel like I've already seen the best parts in the previews/endless "sneak peeks" online or on TV...
7/23/2006 1:03:21 AM
Have you seen the "porch monkey" bit?Because that's the best part.
7/23/2006 1:12:22 AM
I think that is the part Segel or whatever his name is walked out on, it was great
7/23/2006 2:19:34 AM

Haven't seen the movie, but
7/23/2006 10:38:58 AM
the buffalo bill part was funny as shit
7/23/2006 1:40:58 PM
^^ that's actually not what he's talking about, what he's reffering to is much better.
7/23/2006 3:38:09 PM
it kicked ass
7/23/2006 5:22:39 PM
what song is that
7/23/2006 5:47:43 PM
i thought it was 5/10. in alot of scenes the jokes and the dialogue felt forced. some parts were extremely funny (all the Jay parts). aside from that i didn't have the punch I expected. it's worth seeing, but not worth adding to the DVD collection or anything.
7/23/2006 5:50:17 PM

7/23/2006 7:58:27 PM

7/23/2006 10:30:36 PM

I hope that donkey doesnt have a hiney troll
7/24/2006 8:43:44 AM
I had a fine time. Trevor was cracking me up left and right.I could've done with it ending one line before it did, though. Also, did it bother anyone else that even Becky kept referring to Emma as "one of those pretty girls" when Jennifer Schwalbach is most obviously not one? I mean, I can understand it coming from Dante in those situations, and I know Kevin is all gaga over his wife, but I just wasn't buying it.P.S. Emma Bunting is Baby Spice's real name.
7/24/2006 4:49:30 PM
Randal fucking owns this movie. Every scene with him in it is either hilarious or emotionally gripping. Im not sure how I would rate it among the other Askewniverse films. I didn't like it as much as the first Clerks only because the first 30-40 minutes seemed to be one excuse after another to talk about pop culture. I also don't think the dialogue matches up to the first one.I still thought this movie was fucking hilarious. Jay and Silent Bob singing along to King Diamond and the whole Buffalo Bill thing had me losing it. If you're a fan of any of Smith's films I definitely recommend seeing it.
7/24/2006 5:07:48 PM
I heard the conversation with Joel Siegel on the way to Myrtle Beach last week. This was one of the funniest things that I have ever heard.
7/24/2006 6:53:43 PM
one ring to rule them all
7/24/2006 10:59:36 PM
BTW, am I the only one who got a little teary-eyed at points?
7/24/2006 11:11:46 PM
nah Randal killed in that last scene..."You're really going to make me do this arent you?"
7/25/2006 7:48:57 AM
7/25/2006 8:23:31 AM
Fuck, I knew that. This is what I get for posting during my brain's down time (aka daylight).
7/25/2006 11:37:44 AM
i agree that randal owns the movie - the racist scene was great
7/25/2006 11:42:25 AM

7/29/2006 3:00:58 AM
I finally got a chance to see it. I thought it was really really good. They recaptured a good bit of the old one's charm. Some of that shit was hilarious.
7/29/2006 10:58:51 PM
I saw it tonight. I thought it was hilarious. The part were Elias is telling Randal about the pussy troll. Randal's look just had me rolling. The Porch Monkey bit with Wanda Sykes and Earthquake was hilarious. The only thing that sucked was the theater I was at the projector cut out for about 5 minutes and the fucking teeny boppers who spent the whole movie texting friends on their cellphones.
7/29/2006 11:45:52 PM
There were some kids in the one I was at that I bet hadnt even seen the first one unless their parents rented it for them... Yeah the PillowPants scene had me rolling, I think the look on my face while he was talking about it was about the same as Randals look like "What The Fuck?"
7/31/2006 7:35:19 AM
ohhh Elias...what a great new character...and Randal talking about pwning some handicapped dude on the blog, I felt like I was on tdub and jay's buffalo bill dance was hilarious...i was amused and disgusted at the same timefavorite movie i've seen all year...i wanna go again.
7/31/2006 8:47:38 AM
Im going when I get back to school and it hits the $1.50
7/31/2006 9:37:34 AM
I actually cried during the porch monkey bit.The girls loved pillowpants and listerfiend.
7/31/2006 1:02:12 PM
I added Mallrats to my DVD collection and Dogma this weekendI was actually surprised at Mallrats being as funny as it was
7/31/2006 1:32:13 PM
7/31/2006 2:23:46 PM
Mallrats is a hilarious movie. More importantly, it introduced the phrase, "Tell 'em, Steve-Dave!" to the Askewniverse.
