speaking of toes, the sides of my toes and my toenails are starting to crackperhaps i should start moisturizing at night]
5/16/2007 6:58:40 AM
First you're moisturizing your feet at night, and the next thing you know, you're moisturizing your penis in a man's mouth...
5/16/2007 7:36:00 AM
hahahaha
5/16/2007 8:03:50 AM
"penis in a man's mouth"I wanted to say something crude like, "moisturizing your dick in some dude's ass," but I couldn't bring myself to.Nah, but seriously, I try not to make discriminatory jokes about a group of people. I apologize, TWW!

8/23/2007 10:44:46 PM

8/23/2007 10:46:01 PM
i need to bttt this before it diesim trying to get my girlfriend to try it, at least on the grass for a while to get used to it. she refuses
11/11/2007 10:18:44 PM
it's a little to cold at this point
11/11/2007 10:19:32 PM
i know that's what sucks about it. i can run until it gets to be about freezing, then my feet really start to hurt, so i gotta start wearing running shoes

Thanks for the bump gunzz!I just bought two new pairs of the fivefinger sprints for my girlfriend and i. she refuses to run barefoot, so hopefully these will help her be a little more comfortable with the whole thing.]

just finished a jog/walk around lake lynn with my dog...jogged the first half, walked the secondall-in-all, it was good...my feet don't hurt, aren't sore, and aren't bleeding...in fact, they feel...i don't know, revivedpeople sure do look at you funny when you don't wear shoes, though
2/17/2008 3:50:43 PM
i used to play on the asphalt/concrete barefoot all the time as a kid and didn't have any problems.OTHER than when you wouldn't lift your feet enough and you'd scrape the shit outuv your big toe and toenails..... i get shivers thinking about it.
2/17/2008 4:57:17 PM
i walked around lake johnson asphalt half the way once barefoot...i had blisters for like 5 days after that...made me feel like a man

I'm thinking about barefoot sprints in the park later today.

We used to play lacrosse barefoot back in highschool when we were just messing around, but it was on fieldturf. That shit is nice, i would never run on concrete barefooted

I went on an awesome hike today at Springer Mountain in north Georgia. It was my longest barefoot hike yet, coming in at 11 miles. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. A few miles of the loop actually was on part of the Appalachian Trail (Springer Mountain is where the AT starts)I caught some interesting stares and a lot of people asked questions. I met this nice older couple who were coming down the mountain around the same time as I was. We started talking about nothing particular, i think they figured I was some homeless (or hippie) guy, but when I went to my car to give him one of my business cards, he was shocked that I drive a bmw. my feet were pretty much black from walking through all the dirt and mud, and they were a little tired when i got back home, but didn't have blisters or anything. Lewizzle I like those new models, although the neoprene would make my feet sweat gallons. one of my biggest complaints about the vff's is that rocks/dirt/sand can get trapped in the toes (not really a problem when im barefoot, the rocks just fall off), but i do like the KSO's (keep stuff out) and their breathable material. i need to wear out my sprint's that i just bought before i try these suckers out though.]
4/6/2008 10:12:36 PM
Yeah I feel the same way, shit would get mad sticky and I'd have to wash after every run. They look really cool though.

I love playing golf barefootedthe club house guy didn't agree with this he told me i had to either leave or put on shoes.. so i went and got some sandals.. he said those weren't acceptable shoes (mind you, this was at a shitty as fuck golf course that just went bankrupt...so you can imagine how terrible the upkeep is--they should be keeping any customers they can get)so, i found some dress shoes in my trunk..wore them for a hole then went back to being barefootand promptly had a huge spikey thing stick in my foot
5/31/2008 2:55:20 PM
playing golf barefooted is very fucking awesome ! the grass is perfect for it.but
5/31/2008 3:30:49 PM

for the past year, i've been walking/running at lake lynn barefoot...it's about 2 miles around and i can do it 3 or 4 times a week...more than that, and my feet start to develop raw spotsmy favorite was when i came across a baby copperhead on the trail and this old woman started freaking out that i was barefoot and that it was going to bite me...she also freaked out when i picked it up behind the head (after securing it with a stick) and tossed him into the woodsbut yeah, i love going barefoot...i've moved, so it looks like lake johnson is lake wheeler is going to be my new barefoot place in the evenings
5/31/2008 4:45:31 PM
those vibram fivefinger "shoes" actually protect your feet from glass?
5/31/2008 4:58:52 PM
^ yes. they also give you incredible grip on rocks.

Vibram rubber is no joke. Shit lasts forever.
6/1/2008 11:00:56 AM
tell me about it...i pretty much refuse to buy anything but vibram for my daily footwear (though, really, this is usually a pair of chaco sandals or flipflops)...my hiking boots are vibram, and if i have another purchase in my future, it looks like it'll be those finger shoes i swear, they must use tire rubber

^ i'm trying, but i don't think i'm there yet...i can do two miles on asphalt (with gravel and wooden boardwalks) without any problem, but i don't think i'm quite to point where i can do nature trails yet...that said, those trails are probably easier on your feet than asphalt, gravel, and wood
6/2/2008 7:56:53 AM
running on asphalt and concrete was some of the most difficult terrain for my feet to get used to (hence the fivefingers). gravel sometimes still hurts if its the large cut gravelrunning on dirt trails is heaven for your feet, almost as good as grass. the dirt is so soft and provides cushion, and its kinda fun to run through a muddy area
6/2/2008 6:40:18 PM
