his movies are suspense/thrillersjust because they carry social/political messages doesnt change this

my prediction for the twist: the lady is actually the evil one while the creatures are the good ones.a la southpark xmas episode with the evil little furry animals that we think are good and the good mountain lion that we think is evil.[Edited on July 10, 2006 at 7:25 PM. Reason : hfds]

Still reading pg 2 here, but those apple trailers don't work.
7/13/2006 4:49:55 AM
just saw it tonight. i wasnt a fan of most of his movies. they were all right, but they often times depended too much on the endings. signs was probably my favorite, but as has been pointed out, the ending was retarded. this movie however was very entertaining, though it does require quite a bit of suspension of belief.
7/18/2006 10:11:24 PM
so in the preview they showed on the daily showi think he is reusing the village costumes

the last time a haggard looking bitch scared me was when she said she missed her period
7/19/2006 2:09:38 AM
^that dudes haggard looking bitch is probably more entertaining than this movie will be.

SPOILERS
7/19/2006 10:44:13 PM
According to some article I read, there is no twist.
7/19/2006 10:58:59 PM
the twist is there IS no twist!
7/19/2006 10:59:39 PM
Either way, these are things that I put in the previous thread:
7/19/2006 11:16:38 PM
I just saw one of those behind the scenes HBO thingies.Part of me really wants to like Shyamalan since he seems to have some cool ideas. But some of his movies are so clumsily executed that they can bore me quickly. And did I mention Bryce Dallas Howard? She still bothers me.[Edited on July 19, 2006 at 11:22 PM. Reason : .]

I'm going to go on record as saying that hot, pale redheads are okay by me.
7/19/2006 11:37:18 PM
You people know my position on Ms. Howard.
7/20/2006 12:09:26 AM
It seems she's the lady all of TWW wants to get behind.
7/20/2006 12:19:23 AM
she kinda changed to a blonde at the end, and i kept hoping for an explanation, but there was none. maybe it was just my imagination.
7/20/2006 3:05:14 AM
hey look.... it's tracer!!!

BTT!im seeing it tonight, who else?I watched the village again last night. it definatley has its flaws but the sounds, score, and cinematography of that film just make me enjoy it every time.
7/21/2006 10:49:56 AM
I could write a ten page paper on what was wrong with Lady in the Water, but I still really liked it. No twist ftw.
7/21/2006 5:39:17 PM
^yea thats pretty much my opinion.
7/21/2006 9:34:07 PM
i like it, but i disagree with the blurb above.the vessel was not cleveland and i don't think he fell in love with her.that is all.
7/21/2006 10:19:24 PM
Yeah I didnt get that he fell in love with her. He got closure on his family's death from her. He said himself she was just a kid. That is one of the strangest movies ive ever seen.
7/21/2006 10:34:34 PM
Just saw it.Loved it. I bet a lot of people will hate it though, because it's a little different. Definitely not in any way, shape, or form a horror film. Based on the trailors and marketing, that's what I was expecting at first. And no twist, but I'm sure some people will try to say there was one. Anyway, great storytelling and an interesting world.
7/23/2006 4:58:43 PM
my friend told me it sucks then he said something about a giant eagle..sounds..ehh..should i see it?
7/23/2006 6:54:48 PM
i watched it last night, and i think that shamamamaalon is getting worse and worse. he's so full of himself on a side note, i just watched "Blow Up" for the first time and all of the sudden its one of my favorite movies off all time-ZiP!-

you have no point.Your example is rated 14%, lower than the critics, at the site I referenced.http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10005529-little_man/reviews_users.php

I liked Little Man Tate, is that worth anything?I'd like to see what Shyamalan does with someone else's material. The visual stuff he does can be quite good, but the writing is terrible.

I hate M. Night and I liked this movie.
7/24/2006 8:15:23 PM
too bad there aren't enough people like you it probably would have prevented the movie from bombing so badly at the box office
7/24/2006 8:24:53 PM
im glad it bombed. i thought it was complete trash. boring and the only parts slightly entertaining were the small bits of comedy
