Bush hasn't nearly lived up to his hype. He hasn't been bad, but definately not worth $56 million and he hasn't taken over the NFL like people have been repeating.
9/22/2006 4:46:40 PM
with the hype he got he should be getting 2 TD's a game
9/22/2006 4:48:02 PM
I WANT THAT MOTHERFUCKER TO CURE CANCER!
9/22/2006 4:49:41 PM
with his hype, he should be putting up Elliott Green type numbers
9/22/2006 4:54:28 PM
LOLb
9/22/2006 4:57:35 PM
C'mon people... did you not see that absolutely SICK 9 yard run the other night? It was one of the illest plays of the year... BOOYAH!
9/22/2006 5:19:05 PM
i like the greater-than-awesome play where he made like 5 people miss and he totally got 12 yards out of it
9/22/2006 5:20:14 PM
i still agree with my thread

i think he looks greatseems like forever since ive seen somebody make somebody else misshe just does simple shit and makes people look stupidi think hes gonna be great
9/22/2006 8:38:58 PM
I still think he would make a much better reciever than RB. He could possibly be Steve Smith Pt. 2.

What is fumbling at the goal line?[Edited on September 25, 2006 at 1:52 PM. Reason : if we're playing Jeopardy]

him and Vernon Davis both got injured on the same play rofl
9/25/2006 1:59:51 PM
I just think its unfortunate that judgements about Bush (and Williams, for that matter) will come long before the end of their rookie contracts... one game into their careers, everyone saw Bush's 141 total yards vs. Mario's 3 tackles and they all had it figured out: Bush is going to be better for the duration of their shared career time. It's like everyone wants Bush to be so awesome RIGHT NOW, so we get tons of hyperbole projecting him as the next Barry, Gale, or Marshall, and RIGHT NOW he's nowhere near those guys.
9/25/2006 5:01:05 PM
Ditka slobs Bush more than anyone else in the media
9/25/2006 6:40:37 PM
Now they are giving Bush credit for that touchdown reverse because he handed it off...

well AndyMac ignored my questionBush looks like the damn truth every time he touches the ball
9/26/2006 12:57:47 AM
Your question of why?Because he looks like a much better receiver than RB.Are you telling me you think he would be wasted if he was used like Steve Smith? He will be much more successful if they use him in that fashion, get the ball to him in space, and let him use his ability to avoid tackles to get yards.Don't even bother with him in the backfield except on a few plays as a change of pace (around 6-10 carries per game).

you think Jesus H. Bush Christ will finally score a TD?
9/26/2006 2:08:52 PM
the Panthers are gonna bust that spleen out

If Bush can increase his productivity just a little, he can be the next Eric Metcalf. [Edited on September 26, 2006 at 2:47 PM. Reason : ]
9/26/2006 2:47:00 PM
Hey, I never said Bush was gonna be the best RB ever. But I'll be damned if he's not gonna be better than freaking charlie garner or eric metcalf. Come on people, be realistic here and quit hating on him.
9/26/2006 3:09:08 PM
Hes only a rookie, so give him time. Also, why do people think that he is so small and can't handle getting hit? Hes 6-0, 200+ pounds. 20 pounds more then Warrick Dunn, and the same weight (4 inches taller) then Barry Sanders, who had 340+ carries his last year in the league, and over 300 in his previous 4 seasons, not counting receptions. Hes also 15 pounds heavier then Charlie Garner. He also leads the league in RB receiving yards, and is on pace to have over 1300 yards (rushing and receving) not including punt returns. I think most teams in the league would be happy with 1300+ out of a rookie, who gives if it was handed to him or thrown.
9/26/2006 3:22:07 PM
Don't just look at the numerical value for 200 pounds. Shayne Graham, Rod Smith, Jason Elam, Ryan Clark, Kenny Irons, and Ed Reed are also 200 pounds; all are either 5'11" or 6'0". However they each have vastly different body builds and skillsets that emphasize/downplay certain strengths/weaknesses.

Thoughts, comments?
10/9/2006 12:59:15 PM
11 catches, less than 6 yards per catch,Charlie Garner used to do much of the same
10/9/2006 1:21:47 PM
Charlie Garner only made a fraction of what Bush does. The Punt Return was more great blocking than it was Reggie Bush.
10/9/2006 2:50:14 PM
Hope they enjoyed that $56 million punt return.

I LOVE HOW ALL THESE PATHETIC MARIO WILLIAMS HOMERS ARE HATING ON BUSH AND YOUNG.....THE ENTIRE NFL KNOWS THAT THE TEXANS MAY HAVE HAD ONE OF THE BIGGEST FUCK UPS BY NOT CHOOSING EITHER ONE OF THESE GUYS....BUSH IS PLAYING WELL AND THE SAINTS ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS.....THE TEXANS ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND WILLIAMS HAS BEEN COMPARED TO BIG DUDDY WHEN HE WAS DRAFTED BEFORE MARSHALL FAULK.....
12/29/2006 11:38:43 AM
Yeah, they definately should have drafted VINCE YOUNG.Bush still would have sucked balls in Houston though.
12/29/2006 11:41:19 AM
YEAH I THINK BUSH GOT LUCKY BEING IN THE SYSTEM WITH A GOOD QB AND GOOD #1 RUNNING BACK....HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MURDERED IN HOUSTON SINCE THEY DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY OTHER WEAPONS BUT I STILL THINK IN THE LONG RUN BUSH WILL COME OUT TO BE A BETTER PICK THAN MARIO
12/29/2006 11:43:51 AM
who's ever hated on Young? We actually saw what Young did in college when he BEAT Bush's team...what did Bush do in that game?ps WEST VIRGINIA IS GONNA RUN THE TABLE AND PLAY FOR A NATIONAL TITLE, ITS INEVITABLE
12/29/2006 11:47:42 AM
WHAT DID MARIO DO IN THAT GAME??? OH YEAH NOTHING BECAUSE THEY WERE PLAYING IN THE TIRE BOWL BECAUSE MARIO ISN'T THE DOMINANT PLAYER THAT ALL THE COMBINE FREAKS HYPED HIM OUT TO BE....MARIO WILLIAMS = BIG DUDDYHOUSTON'S FRONT OFFICE IS LOOKING LIKE ISAIAH THOMAS RIGHT NOW
12/29/2006 11:56:37 AM
so let me guess...State was in the Tire Bowl because Mario is not a dominant player...but USC played in the NC game just because of Bush, not because of Leinhart or their O-Line or Lendale "3 TD's In The Game That Mattered" White?By the way how much less successful do you think Bush would've been if you plugged him into Houston's horrible offense instead of New Orleans' offense with a great QB, RB and WRs?oh by the way I'm sure Reggie Bush will win the NFC Offensive Rookie Of The Year...oh wait, he's gonna lose that one out to a fucking 7th round receiver...ANOTHER player on his team better than him]
12/29/2006 12:20:26 PM
by the way LT led TCU to the "Mobile Alabama" bowl his junior and senior seasons...I guess he was destined for failure too
12/29/2006 1:08:44 PM
WHEN DID I EVER TRY TO COMPARE BUSH TO ANYONE OTHER THAN MARIO WILLIAMS YOU DIPSHIT......YEAH COLSTON WILL PROBABLY WIN ROY IF YOUNG DOESN'T BUT TO SAY THAT BUSH HAS BEEN A FLOP WOULD BE STUPID....UNFORTUNATLEY FOR YOU AND TEXAN FANS WE WILL NEVER KNOW HOW SHITTY BUSH WOULD HAVE DONE THERE BECAUSE THE TEXANS MADE ONE OF THE BIGGEST #1 PICK DRAFT BLUNDERS IN ABOUT 10 YEARSTCU ISN'T A BCS TEAM SO HOW ARE THEY GOING TO GO TO A BCS BOWL??? I AM PRETTY SURE WHEN LT WAS THERE THEY WERE WINNING 10 GAMES A SEASON.....NCSU DIDN'T EVEN MAINTAIN A WINNING CONFRENCE RECORD DURING WILLIAMS TENURE....HE IS A FLOP AND AS USUAL YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT SHIT!!
12/29/2006 1:15:17 PM

WOW THE BENGALS REALLY FUCKED UP TWICE IN A ROW
12/29/2006 1:26:43 PM
but who were the can't-miss picks of those drafts? It's not like people gave Cincinnati the shit that Houston took seconds after they made/committed to those picks...
12/29/2006 1:35:24 PM
Worst #1 over #2 everhttp://www.nfl.com/draft/history/years/1999^ That's because Bush has been the recipient of the most non-deserved hype in history. Other than espn hype, what made him a "can't miss" pick?[Edited on December 29, 2006 at 1:36 PM. Reason : ]
