^We have to make sure we win 6 games to go to another Tire Bowl.

I think sadly the media will give the Heismann to Brady Quinn because he plays for Notre Dame.

well i thought it was being built to symmetrically match the SEZ. might as well start the obligatory toughest stadium (ACC and Nationally) talk, predictions, and what games you're looking forward to the most.

I think Auburn has a great chance at winning the SEC West, and I'm still undecided if I should choose Tennessee to bounce back or Florida and Chris Leak to get their shit straight and win the East for once.

i really like this video that opens to their football website:
http://www.gatorzone.com/urbanmeyer/

note the old man that appears swinging his arm upwards at the 1:04 mark is George Edmondson aka Mr. Two Bits. He leads the fans in the famous Two Bits... cheer. He started it with some friends during his first game in 1949 against The Citadel. Florida was terrible back then. A whipping boy of the Southeastern Conference if you will. The crowd booed the team as the took the field. The Gators fumbled the ball, and he got others to join in. It grew and grew until he was commanding the entire 90,000 seat stadium. He's since retired from doing the cheer, but can still be spotted and if he gets healthy again he'll try and lead the cheer. He was quoted in saying, “If I can stay reasonably healthy and get on the field, I’ll do it.” He was made an honorary alumnus. Man I wish some of our AARP fans had this mans fire.

Quote :
"One of the best-known Gator spirit traditions is Mr. Two-Bits George Edmondson, a Tampa resident and avid Gator fan. The beloved man who travelled from section to section at all Gator games leading rousing renditions of "Two Bits, Four Bits, Six Bits, a Dollar - All for the Gators Stand Up and Holler!""

But at least you know whats up then...

my bad...clarify next time on Defense, cause there were some n00bs on here last year telling us that we were fags cause the team needed our support on offense and defense. I wanted to throw my computer out the window.

I just got done reading the thread on the pp free board about our schedule being a cake walk.

About 95 percent of the posters over there think that App State is going to come in here and stomp us into the ground.

I mean I've heard negativity from NC State fans, but this is ludacris. You saw what Toney and Andre did to our defense at the spring game. They did similar things to ACC defenses. There's no way those little fuckers will be able to tackle either one of them. And when the start stacking the box with 9 players, I have enough confidence in Stone that he will complete enough passes to get us into the endzone a few times.

In case you've forgotten, Baker will NOT go down with one tackle. Andre probably wont go down with one tackle, and he's fast enough to outrun some of the defenders that Toney can't.

Worst case scenario, they drop 21 points on us like Western Carolina did when our D was so bad Rivers' senior year, and we score 10 rushing and 2 passing touchdowns.

^in case you didnt see the other one, 10 is a fake number....I'd go with 5 as a real guess.

Plus, Andre Brown is out drinking 40's tonight, so you know he's ready.

And.....Woodfoot.....did you see App. State's defense in the NC and semi-final game last year? They give up a LOT of points, and tackling isnt exactly their strong point.

i got the decibel meter b/c i always wanted one. i've always wanted to go around to different places, especially those with a lot of people (i.e. a large busy restaurant) and see how loud it is. it's good for tuning and checking out stereo systems, and all in all it's just fun to play with. it's a radio shack one, but i found a website before getting it that compared it to a higher priced meter, and showed that it was actually very acurate. i got it for my last birthday. it would be cool to have a website devoted to evaluating stadiums and listing noise levels. heck if the site got popular enough one could easily get into games for free and on the field level. a lot of schools claim how great their home field/court advantage is, well this would be one way to prove it.

i thought about taken it to a basketball game this year, but forgot to. i'm sure that i could have brought it in. i didn't get to go to the ECU game, due to studying for the third p. chem test. it seems every baseball game that i've really wanted to go to i've had a ton of shit to do.

i wonder how loud one of the large lecture halls (200-300+) are right before the lecture starts. you know when everyone's talking to the person beside them. it seems pretty loud actually.

anyone think VT might not be as good this year since they won't have a proven QB, and lost a good amount of their great talent? could be similar to our situation these past couple of years, but perhaps not quite as bad.

They will be good but will probably lose a few games. My guess is gator or peach bowl for them. Who do they play OOC? That could make a big difference. I dont remember them playing anyone huge last year.

well, they play WVU every year, so that gives them all the big OOC games they really need right there.

I know we originally had VT as an OOC game, but why can't we at least snag one other big OOC game over the next few years? I'm dissapointed that the UT series didnt work out.
