page 3I mean, I know it's all opinion, but how can you seriously think that they wouldn't have been the team to beat the year kenyon martin got hurt? they were a lock for a #1 seed until he went down. They would've rolled through the tourney. KM was DOMINANT that year.[Edited on March 15, 2006 at 4:04 PM. Reason : .]

2 of Ohio's best high school players O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker(both juniors) have said they would seriously consider following Huggins to whatever school he ends up coaching at as long as its not a raw program. They'd probably leave after the first year anyway for the NBA but this change anyone's mind about Huggins coming here?http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2380452[Edited on March 22, 2006 at 11:49 PM. i heard ECU was joining the ACCi also heard coach K was leaving to coach the lakersand then i heard philip rivers was playing for the jets next year
3/22/2006 11:55:30 PM
i heard phil was gonna be a new assistant coach to herb and teach our team how not to be pussies and start every game in their career.
3/22/2006 11:59:23 PM
you might not be happy about this, but we would be making it to elite 8's and final fours i know that much.
3/22/2006 11:59:59 PM
yeah because cincy has done nothing but excell when given high seeds and been stacked with talent in the last few years

Not saying Im for going after Huggins to replace Herb, but it does seem he would be better in recruiting.
3/23/2006 12:22:29 AM
Yeah and then we are on probation for another 10 years because of his recruiting violations. He really is not that great of a coach. If he was, some of these big programs would be looking at him regardless of his image.
3/23/2006 12:27:30 AM
yeah our recruits could go get drunk with him!
3/23/2006 12:30:09 AM
Huggins will end up at Kansas State
3/23/2006 12:34:13 AM
they announced on espn that huggins has been offered the head job at kansas st.
3/23/2006 12:35:22 AM
well, he does have a final four and an elite eight or two (or three)how many of those does herb have?
3/23/2006 12:35:55 AM
Since both got in trouble for DUI's, is Eddie Sutton's image just as tarnished as Huggins? or did Huggins have more troubles?

http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/5437328Sources: Huggins accepts Kansas State job Story Tools: XML Print Email Blog This Jeff Goodman / FOXSports.com Posted: 48 minutes ago ATLANTA - Former Cincinnati coach Bob Huggins, who sat out the past year after being forced out at Cincinnati, has accepted the Kansas State job, according to sources close to the situation. Terms of the deal were not known and calls to Huggins were not immediately returned. "It's a done deal," said the source. The official announcement could come as early as Thursday, a source said. Huggins, 52, led Cincinnati to 14 straight NCAA tournament appearances and a Final Four in 1992. He was forced out in August after 16 seasons with the Bearcats and accepted a $3 million buyout. Huggins replaces Jim Wooldridge, who was 15-13 this past season at Kansas State.Huggins is also expected to bring 7-foot-1 senior big man Jason Bennett of Arlington Country Day (Fla.) with him and he will likely be in the mix for two of the nation's top juniors — O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker from North College Hill (Ohio). Jeff Goodman is a senior college basketball writer for FOXSports.com. He can be reached at GoodmanonFOX@aol.com.
