NC State football couldn't force southern miss to punt.. the entire game; the redskins just took a gigantic dump in dallas; the braves are gonna miss the playoffs for the first time since I was like 8... all that being as it is, it is so awesome to fire up the DVR on sunday night tonight and for the next 2 months and know, with certainty, that I am about to get as much quality entertainment as is possible to fit in an hour.this show is pretty much perfect... carcetti and marlo are as characters and actors, i think, notably better than i remembered them being. (which is saying a lot, cause marlo has always been a badass). the guys in homicide with bunk were hilarious tonight too. great storytelling with the back to school clothes, people accepting money and handouts on all different levels of baltimore. and really glad to see cutty again.[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 1:10 AM. is Shamrock still on the streets? How come like a dozen Barksdale cats get locked up and they cant re-up on muscle? Slim Charles seems mentally capable of handling the operation
9/18/2006 2:12:13 PM
^ I was wondering the same thing. Brother said he didn't have any beef with Barksdale. I don't see why he's not still working for him after he got his revenge. Did he go back to NY?On the other hand, I don't know if I'd want to go to war with Chris & Snoop.[Edited on September 18, 2006 at 6:12 PM. Reason : ]

9/19/2006 9:52:37 AM
this makes me want to leave work, so i can go watch that shit. omar is the man.
9/19/2006 9:57:27 AM
omar likes to be the man and eat one too. this show is good, but it needs a BDW (black dick warning) after showing both omars and the mayors in the past two episodes
9/22/2006 10:08:05 PM

^good news
9/26/2006 10:21:38 AM
^ david simon was, first, a reporter for the baltimore sun for like 20 years. could be the best one.
9/27/2006 12:47:37 AM
did anyone catch omar's boyfriend reading one of the show's writers' (George Pelacanos) new novel?which reminds me that I was gonna say all the wire fans in this thread (which i think is like 4 people) might be interested in some of the writers' novels...Dennis Price, who wrote Clockers has a bunch of books and Clockers is really really greatGeorge Pelecanos... I definitely recommend the Nick Stefanos Series .. start with A Firing Offense, then get Nick's Trip, which spends some time in the outer banks NC and wilmington... then check out King Suckerman and The Sweet Forever. Also Dennis Lehane, who has 5 boston detective novels, and Mystic River, which is amazingAnd of course, the aformentioned David Simon^ who wrote The Corner and Homicide: A Year in the Life On the Killing Streets... nonfiction novels. There's a lot of the wire in clockers, sweet forever, and obviously, Simon's books. All very awesome stuff.[Edited on September 28, 2006 at 8:21 PM. Reason : z]

9/29/2006 10:36:47 PM
they just added episode 42 'Alliances' to the onDemand
10/2/2006 4:35:01 PM
last nights ep was great, the rent-a-cop/marlo scene was great to me, as well as omar/marlo meetin up for the first time
10/2/2006 4:53:43 PM
you can just tell that Snoop fucked up by keeping that badge and Partlowe fucked up by just tossing it near the side of that building
10/2/2006 5:25:32 PM
"you want it to be one way, but it's the other"pretty much sums up 3.5 seasons of this show
10/3/2006 1:01:21 AM
episode 42 is real nice and 43 is gonna pop off even more...good stuff
10/3/2006 9:50:54 AM
aww shit just watched 43.
10/9/2006 5:42:24 PM
so how are you guys feeling season 4 so far? imo, it's shaping up to be the best season so far, surpassing season 3 (which was my favorite). they introduced great characters with the 4 main kids. they're focusing on the school system and marlo's rise to power with his enforcers, chris and snoop. the mayoral race is turning out to be pretty interesting and it looks like we're going to see a hell of a lot more omar.overall i think it's a great season.
10/10/2006 10:05:18 AM
i love it so far.....season 2 was definately my favorite, but this one is shaping up nicely. there are so many subplots woven together...its just going to explode eventually.
10/10/2006 11:01:43 AM
episode 43 was also really good...its gettin kinda hectic
10/10/2006 12:15:43 PM
yea id say season 2 is better. this ones moving kind of slow for me.
10/10/2006 12:27:30 PM
I have enjoyed the entire series, but I think season #2 was by far the best.
10/10/2006 12:58:02 PM
I probably liked the 1st season the best, but all the seasons have been great
10/10/2006 1:28:29 PM
well, i just finished watching season 4.I had been watching it every week, but then I found out somehow the whole season 4 DVD got bootlegged and put on the intarweb. So now I dun seen the whole thing. Not quite up to season 3, but damn good.
