That looks more like my opinion than an actual fact, but whatever I can give you facts if you'd like them. Go cheer for your BlueDevils.....

My wife's cousin graduated from UNC and worked at the REI out at Southpoint for a couple of years after finishing school. He also had an extremely low paying job working for a State Senator on their campaign. The dude is very smart, but he always gave me this I'm better than you attitude, even though I knew my Chem E classes were a hell of a lot harder than his english classes. Now I have a great job as an engineer and he spends his days trying to get into law school while making ~$8 an hour.

^x12 Then go to the duke message board and troll.... I know plenty about sports. I also know plenty about hating carolina. I hate on Carolina because they deserve it. UNC is 6-4 in conference and Walmart Nation thinks it will win another national championship. If Ignorance is bliss, then Chapel Hill must be in Nirvana.... My comments on Swofford are simply to raise awareness to the allegiances of the ACC commisioner. He's from my hometown, and I know his family. His brother went to Duke and seems pretty nice from the one time I met him. I don't like John Swofford as a person, and I sure don't like the fact that he is the ACC commisioner. The point is that ACC Coordinators of Officiating continue to change over the years, but the level of officiating seems to get worse. The only person accountable for the hires is John Swofford. Obviously, State fans blame Chuck when there is bad play, and Chuck is the one at the top of the team. There is some extremely bad officiating going on, and the only logical person left to blame is John Swofford. Whether he influences officiating during certain games...I don't know. I only know that games have been poorly officiated all year long and Swofford has said nothing. FIRE SWOFFORD! Get someone in there who will clean up the officiating. Enough is enough. On a sidenote, I know several who graduated from UNC and either don't have jobs or work at Pizza Hut, McDonald's (as the manager albeit, but still McD's), and one who graduated in 99 and still has no steady job.... Only one of my fellow graduates (that I know of) isn't employed right now full-time, but he is prepping for grad school. That's 1 out of 37 graduates from my department. I had two job offers at engineering firms within a week and a half of graduation, and I only went on 3 interviews.[Edited on February 13, 2006 at 4:12 PM. I mean, I get siked when the Heels play, and I was ready to punch a wall when they lost the other week to Duke, but I pride myself on an open mind. I quit that "OMGTHEHEELZRSOCOOL,FUKDOOKIES" shit back in high school.

^^ I understood what you meant. ^^^ is not bad at all. When I complain or bring attention to officiating, I want it to be known that NC State games aren't the only ones that are badly called. It seems to me that they are worse, but I am biased. I feel that refs have become too much of a distraction in the game itself. The responsibility of the officials falls to John Clougherty. John has only been in that office for a little while, and the change was made in hopes of improving officiating. Clougherty was a great official, but hasn't been able to make the others around him better. I just feel that more responsibility falls at the feet of John Swofford, and he should be fired to make way for a change that will hopefully lead to better officiating, better management, and better results for our member institutions. Swofford took the ACC through expansion, and will long be remembered for it (good and bad). It is time for a change at the top of the ACC. I do not want an NC State grad at the top of the ACC, nor any graduate from the 12 schools. I want objective leadership that wants the best for the entire ACC, not just their alma mater. I want to see better things for the ACC as a whole. I may hate UNC sports teams, but I want to see the conference get better, more competitive, and dominate the country.[Edited on February 13, 2006 at 4:37 PM. Reason : ]
