the same thing happened to State last year during one game (perhaps VT or Washington) where Hodge went up to put it in and the guy jumped straight in the air, but obviously hacked Hodge. the announcers said that it was a questionable call, but the refs might have been thinking rule of verticality, and since it was an end of game situation they wouldn't want a call to decide the game. needless to say State lost, like BC did. of course State was down by only 1 or 2 points, not 3. anyone that doesn't try for the three with 7 seconds to go deserves to lose. like Vitale and Patrick said, alot of the players today don't play with smarts, and know how much they have, and more importantly know how much they need. that was a really bonehead play. he could have easily passed it to the player that was with him and slowed up upon approaching the 3 pt line. the guy was open in fact.

Haha. Yea.. riiiiight. I can't stand BCU either but that was DEFINITELY a foul. I mean it was clear as day.. I DVRed it back and it was seriously one of the worst no-calls with a game on the line that I've ever seen. He didnt even jump straight up. He jumped at him, bumped him with the lower body, and hit him on the shoulder..

Who care though really.. we aren't catching Duke. They'll make their umpteenth straight Sweet 16 and then lose when they don't have the refs in their back pocket come tourney time. No big deal...

Well I really disagree with that. Really I think it was quite clear he jumped forward and HAMMERED him body to body but lets focus on the fact that Craig Smith and Jared Dudley have never won a big game at BCU... ever.

Yea that was frustrating Duke didn't cover. I figured that was as safe a bet as they come. I mean BCU is known for choking against good teams. bad calls happen. also everytime theres a guy that the ref expects to block the shot cleanly theyre gonna get away with some clear fouls. refs are humans. in 2017 the acc will introduce robotic refs but intil then bad calls and no calls will happen every game.
