1/30/2006 9:06:30 AM
somebody smart figure out how many votes are required to get like 95%.
1/30/2006 11:54:26 AM
i think it would 993,000 based on the number of votes against us right now and assuming everyone voted for us
1/30/2006 11:59:20 AM
^^That would require knowledge of how many current votes are legitimate, and how many are bogus in order to obtain the normal vote rate for everyone other than NCSU. I suppose it could be extrapolated from our pre-skew percentage.[Edited on January 30, 2006 at 12:01 PM. Reason : ]
1/30/2006 12:00:56 PM
no it wouldnthe just asked how many votesif espn counted them, they are votes
1/30/2006 12:05:07 PM
the %'s add up to 400% because you are allowed to vote 4 times
1/30/2006 12:16:10 PM
^^Yes, but you see, legitimate votes are ongoing. You can't oversimplify it and say we need X-number of votes under the assumption that we are the only ones still voting. Well, you can, but it's not accurate. By the time we got 993,000 votes, there probably will have been an additional 100,000 votes for other teams which will alter the number we need to reach 95%.
