prolly first come first serve but all student tickets will be upper level.

If you are not in the wolfpack club and ranked 1-7000, you cannot buy lower level seats through the wolfpack club. Thus would have to buy through ticketmaster to get lower level. Although if you want upper level, then buy from the wolfpack club.

if you are in the student wolfpack club, does that help your chances at all?

and i read that you can get lower level tickets...but you're saying state won't give any of those to students?

"Tickets are available through NC State's athletic ticket office. Upper level seats are $30 and are available for all patrons, lower level sweats are $55 for Wolfpack Club members ranked 1-7000 and club level seats are $75 for members ranked 1-1000. NC State students will be able to purchase upper level seats at a discount beginning Monday morning on the gopack.com site. NC State faculty members will also be able to receive a discount."

from gopack.com

The way I read it is:

If you want to buy lower level tickets through athletics, you have to have a rank of 1-7000 in the Wolfpack Club. Otherwise, you will have to go through ticketmaster.

Student tickets will be sold at a discount, prolly like 20 ish? I don't remember what they were last bowl we went to. They will be upper level. The advantage of buying student tickets through athletics is that they are cheaper and they try to put all the students together. Although that is kinda pointless since they are so far away from the field.

Anyone see this from cfbnews.com

23. Meineke Car Care Bowl, Dec. 31, 11 am ET ESPN2 … NC State vs. South Florida
South Florida is a program on the rise, has had a great season, and will be sure to play hard in its first bowl game, but NC State’s defense will be too much for the Bull offense to overcome. However, the Wolfpack is the bowl season’s flakiest team and might not show up.
Stars of the show: 1) Mario Williams, DE NC State, 2) Andre Hall, RB South Florida
The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: South Florida 17 … NC State 9

I don't agree with him at all on the score prediction
I'd predict NCSU 21 South Florida 10

Chuck seems to have knack for bowl preparation. USF is playing in their first ever bowl. That advantage alone should be enough to win.

just like River's senior year

how ya figure that? for river's senior year we had a returning good offense and a unexperienced defense.

next year, half the Dline will be new and about half the secondary new. The only good spot on offense right now is RB. And we lose 3(?) seniors on a already shakey Oline.

Secondary will be alright, although we'll miss Hudson on some big plays...

D-line's going to suffer, but maybe we'll pull something together.

yup, like i said . . . half the secondary is gone

nah . . . I know we have some good people back there. Heath, Morgan, Scott are all good at safety. And I think Bobby Washington can be very good there too. He is very fast and very athletic. Pretty strong too, so I would imagine he could lay some licks. AJ can play very good, but he normally doesn't. We'll have to see how the other CB's step up and fill Hudson's spot.

I said half the Dline will be gone, but I don't think it will be all that bad. Should be very strong at DT. Return Tank, Demario, and McCargo. I don't know much about most of the the other DE's. gopack.com shows returning DE's to be: Quentin Brown, Matt Kushner, Littleton Wright, and Willie Young. Maybe we can pick up some big recruit.

Should be good at LB. Tulloch, Lowery, LeRue Rumph, some other.

I see us as being mediocre like normal, but people could step up and we could do well. By well, I mean better than 4th in conference. Very good would be conf. champ. No point in even talking about NC or anything close.

Anyone know who is the home team? I'm assuming its USF, considering we have the same overall but they have a better conference record than us.

it doesn't go by record or better team. It flip flops conferences. I believe unc was home last year so USF should be home this year.

I heard a rumor this week that ticket sales were nothing like State expected. We had only sold like 12000 tickets coming into this week. Just wondering if anyone else had heard that?

the WPC ticket office has sold 22k.
A lot of people are pissed at the WPC and ordered through Ticketmaster instead.

Total sales (WPC, USF, Ticketmaster, etc) so far are approaching 50k.

If you look on the official website it says that our corporate packs are sold out and the fan packs are sold out. They might still have general admission tickets, but i dunno. So tickets are selling pretty well I'd say.

thats what happens when you give a certain group of people a monopoly over a certain kind of tickets.

Granted if they did it first come first serve, then all the big donors would be pissy if they didn't get good seats. And you know how those geriatric types are when they get pissy.

Alright so we've sold 21,000. Ya think we can get to the magic number?

Quote :
"BOWL TICKET SALES UPDATE: N.C. State has sold more than 21,000 tickets for the Dec. 31 Meineke Car Car Bowl game against South Florida, NCSU assistant athletics director Dick Christy said Friday.

The priority deadline for tickets was Thursday, but State will continue to process ticket orders on a first-come, first-order basis. Few, if any, club or lower-level seats are still available for purchase through the State ticket office. Tickets also may be ordered through Ticketmaster.

State is encouraging fans to pick up ordered tickets at area will-call locations before heading to Charlotte for the game. Tickets may be picked up before Dec. 30 at the following locations:

* Dec. 27-29, the Vaughn Towers Ticket Office, located on Carter-Finley Stadium's west concourse, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

* Dec. 28, RBC Center, 6 p.m. until halftime of the N.C. State-New Hampshire basketball game

* Dec. 30, the Vaughn Towers Ticket Office, 8:30 a.m. to noon."

So I am trying to get 4 $30.00 Upper level tix on the North ACC side and Ticketmaster says its a no go. Does anybody know for sure if there are any more going to be available, or what would be the best plan of action, I graduated last year and live in charlotte and want Upper Level tix four of them on the State side.

It's easy to jump off the bandwagon when your team consistently sucks. If ezu won 8 games they wouldn't deserve a bowl game considering the crappy conference they're in, so suck on that one.

whoever has got tix, what are your sections so I can make sure that i am on the right side, i just got off the hone with the Ticketmaster people and they sucked. They kept on trying to give me tix in section 537 and that does not jive with the stadium seating chart.. Are we home or away? Or does it?

^What's funny about that is Middle Tennessee could give ECU a game, hell possibly beat them. MTSU is better than Duke whom ECU BARELY beat.

You're right, ezu not only didn't play MTSU (who upset Vanderbilt) or EKU but rather played teams that were a lot worse. ezu's 5 wins came against teams that finished 1-10 (Duke and Rice), 4-7 (Marshall) and 5-6 (SMU and UAB).

Wow, that's a real murderer's row there. Millbrook HS would have gone 6-5 with ezu's weak ass schedule. ezu can even take the real dumbasses who can't even get a qualifying GPA or SAT score out of HS and still can't win. Hilarious!

USF also always plays at Raymond James stadium in Tampa. I was at the Louisville game last fall. The fact that they're used to playing there may help them out. Then again, it's also quite cold for us up here...

Students get what's left after the WPC allocates tickets to everyone else. This is not news.
