Yeah my Tahoe has almost 100k and runs great. So what do I win for predicting the valve Job? Glad to hear that they are gonna get you out of it. Hopefuly it didnt turn into too expensive of a learning experience. My vote is a Tahoe.......but I would still take it to go get an independant third party inspection (preferable a dealer) before you slap cash on anything else. Good luck Dave

Well if I get the Tahoe I gotta come up with $3000, so that probably wont happen. There is an Expedition with like 98,000 miles up there that I could also do an even swap for, (he might even give me some back). He also said if I did not like anything thats up there now I could wait till he gets back from the auctions on friday and see what he brings back.

He had a 2000 Disco 2 that he said he would do an even swap on. At this point I am a little leary of those. It's a beautiful truck but I also have to get places, and kind of need my daily driver to run daily.

I went up to the shop last night and pulled the TV out and the rest of my shit. Only a two factory wires were cut during the install so that was not too much trouble. When I put the old head-unit back in it just says "CODE" I dont have the code to it so thats just gonna become their problem.

It hasnt been too expensive of a fuck up financially. I am out some acessories for the TV that wont be used in anything else. I am out a ski trip that I missed cuz they could not fix it. If the tv wont fit in my next car I will have to sell it used and lose some money there. Out a fuel filter. THANK GOD I got outbid on the brush guard cuz that would have really sucked to have won that auction and installed it.

The dealer is a pretty reasonable guy he offered to take it back without me even getting too pissed. He seems like one of those people that would rather eat a little cost than have you going around bad mouthing him.

sucks for the poor sucker that gets stuck with it next - you might consider that this guy might not sell the most reputable vehicles - it's a great time to buy an expedition or a tahoe - $100/fillup is fun

You should get your fucking money back and go somewhere else.

He sold you an absolute lemon, there's no reason he should force you into putting that money back into another one of his vehicles. At least you learned your lesson about buying a non-warranteed LR.

Yeah the solonoids that actuate the 4wd tend to stick if not used very often...Glad it worked for ya. Next I predict some form of U-Joint / Driveshaft / axle failure. Not to mention the never ending oil leaks. Not hatin on ya man just seen it 100 times. Good luck with your L/R And yes I still want one for a Project truck

I think the front left ABS sensor cable fell off. I figured out the origin of it and where it would have routed to. It had been dragging on the road so much it was destroyed and now I have to find another one.

The cruise control only works intermittently. I have not really messed with this because I generally drive in too much traffic to use it.

Other than that no problems. My friend drove it down to myrtle this weekend and she has not had any issues.

It bent itself all to shit. One of the wheels broke and then the rest did soon after. I just took the door apart a few hours ago. You can see if you look at the arms where the ends are all bent up. The window would not roll back up at all once it snapped.

All the junkyards laughed too when I called looking for a land rover. I guess they get stripped soon as they hit the lots. Parts too high in demand.

^ I made a thread on there but got a script error when it was submitted then it would not let me put it through again because it was the same thread. It never came up.

There is a guy on most of the boards named "will.tillery" if you are looking for any rover parts he is the one to talk to. I have a PM in to him to see if he can find one for me. From what I have seen he can get you anything from a peice of trim to a motor.

BTW I have decided not to buy the brush guard .

So if the oil is not leaking on the ground, but is dropping about a quart for every tank of gas I go through, where the fuck is it going?????? The truck only has 69,000 miles on it.

Probally out the tail pipe. 1quart every 200-250 miles is very bad. Go have it checked out. You probally got a shitty valve job or the rings are on the way out. Used car dealers are notorious for being cheap bastards @ the machine shop. " Just patch it together, I allready got it sold"
