OK, this was one of my favorite tips-of-the-hat in any Simpsons episodes ever.

In the episode "Lastest Gun in the West," when Snake and some of his friends rob the Springfield National Bank, Chief Wiggum is seen outside the bank talking on the radio when he states that the criminals are "heavily armed." The scene cuts to one of the robbers firing on the police siege. They were all using a VERY specific type of rifle. What type of rifle was it, and from which extremely well-known sci-fi horror movie was it taken?

Yes, I do have pictures of it if you really want a hint. (Or dead giveaway, maybe.)

^ Correct! It was the M41-A Pulse Rifle seen in the movie Aliens. When I saw it in the episode, I nearly fell off of my chair. The Pulse Rifle is one of my favorite weapons EVER.

LOL. I can't even remember the last time I had the opportunity to simply sit in front of the TV and watch The Simpsons. I saw that episode over 2 years ago, and it just stood out in my memory.
