Look. You're clearly out of your element in this section of the board. How many WVU games have you even watched? One? Two? It's quite apparent you haven't noticed the progression of the team. First off early in the year Slaton wasn't yet the go to guy on the ground. Since the VT game the OLINE and Slaton have been ROLLING people. Also Rich Rodriguez has allowed Pat White to mature to the point where he has become a pretty darn good QB. As always their defense is still top notch as well. Are they improved enough to beat VTech now? Probably not. I certainly would not rule it out though and would DEFINITELY say the game would be closer.

Huh? I wouldn't call it likely but there is at least the possibility that they meet in the BCS. I think most people agree VTech will win the ACC and WVU will win the Big East. That makes the likely matchups, barring upsets in other games.

Rose: USC - Texas
Fiesta: ND - Penn State [or Ohio State] (depending on what the Fiesta thinks is a better matchup

That leaves 4 teams for 2 games. In most cases the Orange Bowl takes the ACC team and the Sugar will take the SEC team. That isn't an exact science but in non-national championship years the Orange Bowl does not ALWAYS sell out. If they select a rivalry game such as WVU-VT, who by the way, have HUGE travelling fanbases, they are guaranteed exposure and an easy sell out/overflow crowd in the city.

My best guess would be this:

Sugar: LSU/Georgia vs. Ohio State/Penn State
Orange: WVU vs VT

To rule out such a scenario is not only wrong but MORONIC.

Yep. With the way it is working out looks like no rematch is in the cards. Before this weekend ( and right after the Miami loss) there was a chance but not anymore..

VT looked REAL good and they should be a tough game for anyone. So should WVU. What a tottaly different team then earlier this year. Two freshmen doing it too.
