I am not a nigger. The word Nigger comes from "Niger" or "Nigeria" and nigger means a native of that country. I personally dont understand why they take it to be offensive but whatever suits them.

the word nigger did not originate from the country's name
it predated both british colonization of the region, and when nigeria AND niger both chose to keep the british names when they gained their independence.

in relation to african history, native pretty much does mean tribal. whether organized as city-states, kingdoms, or nomadic cultures, africa was (and to a lesser degree, still is) a tribal continent.
