I cleaned it up some today, began learning all the flaws in the paint. I havent decided if its worth a clay bar treatment yet.[Edited on September 5, 2005 at 1:40 AM. Reason : gg me]

9/20/2005 9:42:52 PM
Looks tyte, but tyres could be 40% wetter looking.
9/20/2005 11:09:28 PM
yeah except im not niggerish enough to put on tire shine before I get my junk rotated and balanced
9/20/2005 11:29:01 PM
not bad for home made, huh?
10/7/2005 12:03:59 AM
that car is in excellent condition.from the outside that is.my paint doesn't reflect like the one where you can see the clouds on your hood.
10/7/2005 12:23:58 AM
looks better than pvc pipe
10/7/2005 12:29:45 AM
^^ that was right after a very intense cleaning. that shine lasts about 12 hours then looks like every other black car. i desperately need to polish and wax it, but im lazy. i would pay someone to do it, but I dont have anyone that i trust not to swirl my paint all up.^ damn right, and I only have $35 in materials. made from an old RSX intake and stuff from home depot and pepboys.
10/7/2005 1:02:51 AM
it's okwhere's the type r sticker on the intake thouough is that a ngr valve on that intake
10/7/2005 1:17:54 AM
I may not have you in a straight line, but i'll take you in the twisties!!!!!!!111!!
10/7/2005 1:37:46 PM
is an intake really going to help out performance at the expense of letting in more dirt?
10/7/2005 2:31:28 PM
I dont know, its installed on a probationary basis at the moment. If I dont like it, then it comes off. I actually prefer the better filtration and less airflow of paper filters over blowthrough "dirt strainer" oiled cotton fiber or gauze, but who makes a paper element cone filter?
10/7/2005 7:03:18 PM
if it fits, an s2000 paper cone filter works great.
10/8/2005 3:35:15 AM

I have a nice little list of other stuff I still need/want to get done like the AC compressor or drivers seat upholstery.
12/1/2005 11:58:43 PM
i take it ur keepin it
12/2/2005 12:07:11 AM
make sure to use a GM supercharger belt (unless there is a specific belt from some forum site)my dads old riviera ate 3 cheap parts house belts in 4 months, GM belt 100K + miles

12/2/2005 9:01:17 PM
its no cakewalk on my car, i have to remove everything from the SC so I dont get cleaner on the coated vanes or rotors or screws or whatever they are called
12/3/2005 9:01:45 PM
I have $texas worth of parts waiting to go on this car, now I just need the time to get it all done.
12/20/2005 8:44:45 PM
Well no more putting it off, I had an idler pulley bearing fail friday night. I worked saturday tearing it down, and sunday cleaning parts and overhauling the SC and am just about ready to start putting it back together. Should be running like new for the new year.
12/26/2005 5:30:22 PM
12/26/2005 6:24:44 PM
the idler pulleys and tensioner pulleys are pretty similar, some have grooves some dont. because its the supercharged engine, i have two serpentine belts, two tensioners and two idlers. the bearings on the tensioners wernt bad yet but all the idlers were. the way to check is take the belt loose and spin it by hand and listen. if its nice and smooth then youre alright, if it sounds like a millipede rollerskating on glass then change it before it fails. you dont want to lose the belt driving the water pump while driving because itll overheat with a quickness. by the way all the retaining bolts on my idler/tensioner pulleys were left hand thread so they have to go clockwise to loosen them.
12/26/2005 7:44:14 PM
CORRECTION the lowermost idler is not reverse threads, its normal and youll need a T-55 TORX socket for it.http://raleigh.craigslist.org/pts/120496847.htmlWonder who bought that?
12/29/2005 4:16:23 AM
damn that's a steal
12/29/2005 8:33:48 AM
damn parts store website gave me the WRONG belt and caused me some real headaches but its finally back together and running again, new pulley and all. still have to change the trans fluid/filter, fuel filter, and thats it. for now.

1/9/2006 10:47:52 PM
that tint job doesn't look legal...or have you found a garage that doesn't check it for inspection?
1/9/2006 11:53:20 PM
(spits milk out my nose)get a load of this guyhell naw its not legal, but getting an inspection is easy.
1/9/2006 11:55:53 PM
lolthe tint job does make it look a lot cooler though...I was thinking about getting my windows done but the shops I checked would only do "legal" tint jobs...what is a good place around here to get a nice dark tint job?
