whats with all these n00bs trying to troll in these threads, first it was monsterdump in the yankee thread then its shithauler in the sox thread, and for the yankee fan who is in the the lead in the division, I don't think its the yankees.

Red Sox are doing what we did last season hitting that slump in late april early may. Wells going on the DL hurts because it leaves a whole in our lineup, our starting pitchers have been unreliable not going very long early leaving it to our bullpen to win or lose. Foulke has been really really shaky giving up 4 runs in the 8th.

^ I think they're saying about a month for that right?Stinks.

reminder to all orioles fans. IT'S ONLY APRIL. the hot start won't last and i'll say by mid june the birds will be struggling to stay at .500, while the sox and yanks are at the top.GO SOX!!!!
4/27/2005 8:46:56 AM
yeah as I recall the orioles were in first place in april/may last season. Your pitching won't keep up and your hitters will hit a slump.
4/27/2005 9:05:44 AM
Today's game: PPD. No make up game scheduled as of yet.
4/27/2005 3:18:53 PM
man....schilling joins wells on DL....for about 2 weeks. We need Miller to get better quick.
4/27/2005 3:25:31 PM
yeah this sucks we have 3 starters with MLB experience
4/27/2005 3:31:38 PM
really starting to turn it up now. Millar finally got his first HR last night and Damon is just on fire right now.Gotta hope Manny is ok after the bean in the head.Bronson goes for 5-0 tonight. He is quickly becoming an ACE in Schilling's absence..GO SOX
5/10/2005 11:44:20 AM

5/28/2005 1:23:45 PM
5/28/2005 2:41:11 PM

5/28/2005 3:23:30 PM
17-1
5/28/2005 4:49:22 PM
Nice way to take the frustrations out...now, beat the Moose tomorrow. (I somewhat question this because we got Boomer pitching.)
5/28/2005 10:25:24 PM
LETS GO RED SOX!
5/29/2005 8:02:45 PM

6/14/2005 10:22:01 AM
6/14/2005 10:37:09 AM
well the Yanks at least are still way out. The Sox are only 3 games out..
6/14/2005 10:39:01 AM
ok well I predict after the all star break the O's will have there normal 2nd half collapse
6/14/2005 10:40:39 AM
their normal 2nd half collapse? what are you talking about.last years 2nd half was considerably better then the first half...unfortunately, they dug themselves too big of a whole to begin with.also, the O's have been having "total year collapses" in the recent years. they havent consistently been in the position to have a 2nd half collapse recently.plus, as a red sox fan, i think you would be one of the first to realize that "the norm" can change.[Edited on June 14, 2005 at 10:46 AM. Reason : df]
6/14/2005 10:45:34 AM
tis true but your pitching has one young stud and the rest a bunch of inconsistent guys where as the sox had two studs and some inconsistent guys.plus they have sir K's alot who has no heart and captain viagra who is aging and might not have the fuel for a full season.
6/14/2005 11:01:21 AM
6/14/2005 11:02:40 AM
the red sox need to fix there bullpen thats whats killing them, Embree has been horrid, Timlin is shaky, and Foulke is very shaky this year.
6/14/2005 11:04:36 AM
BTTT Red Sox took the AL East lead tonight, the O's and Yanks lost Schilling is close to returning, life is good
6/24/2005 11:42:06 PM
1.5 up on the O's6.5 up on the Yanks
6/25/2005 7:32:18 PM
18 up on the D'Rays
6/25/2005 9:49:30 PM
This is some impressive stuff right now. No team in baseball can beat the Red Sox when they play like this. No one. If they can even play at 75% of this they will win the division by 15 games. Pitching has been amazing (1.48 ERA for the starters the last 12 games), hitting is crazy (Manny has 21 RBIs in last 12 games), and the defense has been great too... Fun stuff to watch..
6/26/2005 2:48:52 PM
Looks like the starting rotation better start cranking out some complete games, Foulke is worthless right about now.
7/5/2005 2:04:13 PM
yeah he is having some control issues right now, they could always move Matt Mantei to the closer role, rumor has it they have some intrest in billy wagner
7/5/2005 2:38:51 PM
thems damn yankees
7/18/2005 8:09:01 AM
man we seriously need some bullpen help, Schilling is starting to look a little better after Thursday's meltdown hopefully we can give him some work against the D-Rays. Its going to hurt when Wells has to serve his suspension hopefully he can get it reduced to 3 or 4 games but I doubt it he will miss one start. On a plus side Gabe Kapler is back in the Red Sox fold after coming back from Japan.
7/18/2005 11:01:14 AM
theo traded off franchise nomar last season and the sox won the series; he'll pull something out of his sleeve. beantown will be there when it matters in the end and push for another crown. GO SOX!!
7/19/2005 12:23:12 AM
please pick up Soriano and/or Wagner.
7/19/2005 1:23:35 AM
why did Kapler even go to Japan in the first place after you all won it last year? I mean wtf ... championship team or Japan...?
7/19/2005 9:30:23 AM
he wanted to play everyday
7/19/2005 9:59:25 AM
another win today, tomorrow we get to see how good we really are by playing the southside sluggers in Chi-town. Clement gets the start so hopefully he is good and rested from Saturday's short outing. With Baltimore losing again in the ninth it gives a little more room between 1st and 3rd and we are guranteed to be leading the east by at least 1/2 a game.
7/20/2005 4:31:59 PM
Now the Yankees will have a 2-8 record in their next 10, immediately followed by a 24 game winning streak
7/20/2005 4:39:28 PM
