dudevinnie jones as juggernaut is near-perfect castingi hope its true...

the best way to work gambit into a movie IMO would be to make him a bad guy. Uncanny #350 reveals that he used to contract with Riptide and a group of other baddies to slaughter off the "untouchable" mutants in the sewers.
4/15/2005 8:56:11 PM
or heyjust leave him out of this trilogy
4/15/2005 11:17:14 PM
gambit's a worthless character
4/16/2005 12:09:19 AM
especially when they already have clones of that character development in the present movies
4/16/2005 12:28:56 AM
Holy crap, I'd love to see a Magneto movie. And I agree, Vinne Jones as Juggernaut would be fantastic.

wait wait waitthey tried to make gambit a summers bro???
4/16/2005 7:36:57 AM
Briefly, they hinted at it for a little while (Mr. Sinister drops Cyclops a hint about having "brothers", bonding scenes with Gambit and Cyke start to happen, Gambit is revealed to have a mysterious connection to Sinister, he's an orphan, energy powers, and a few others), then when they got feedback from fans and realized it was a bad idea (Fans of Gambit didn't like him being a Summers and fans of the Summers tended not to like Gambit). Then they hinted that a backup character from X-Force "Adam X: the X-Treme" was actually the Summers half-brother when he rescued Grandpa Summers in the Alaskan wilderness (which he was supposed to be Scott/Alex's half-bro by their mother and the Shiar Emperor D'Ken, so that would actually not have been Adam's Grandpa), then to my knowledge they dropped the whole "more Summers Brothers" deal altogether (although I stopped following from 96-2000 and have been intermittent since then).Wow I really wasted my youth.

I'm interested to see the character design for Juggernaut cuz...he's supposed to be ridiculously huge if I'm not mistaken ... lol

Not quite X3 news but apparently the screenwriting for the Wolverine movie is underway, GUEST STARRING WOLVERINE!!!!11
4/20/2005 9:28:38 AM
if i was jackman, i'd keep making x movies and wolverine movies until they ran out of film stock
4/20/2005 9:36:12 AM
if you were jackman you'd be a queer aussie ballet dancer
4/20/2005 9:46:52 AM
he's not gay, he just has british parents
4/20/2005 9:49:25 AM
That exchange makes me interpret this in a whole new light:
4/20/2005 9:52:31 AM
I remember the first xmen cartoon too damn well to take Apoc seriously. His plans were always complicated and usually petty, and I never figured out why he didn't just go around smashing things."The A is for Apocalypse!"

it seems a little early to make kitty a bigger part, since rogue is still only like 19p.s., sucks for whomever played kitty the first timejust like the guy who got booted out of the Pyro role so that my boy Tadpole could get it[Edited on April 23, 2005 at 3:56 PM. Reason : good ol' tadpole]
4/23/2005 3:55:27 PM
It's never too early to give Kitty a bigger partTadpole?
4/24/2005 6:13:45 AM
who was kitty in the movies, and where was she?
4/24/2005 6:36:21 AM
In the first one when wolverine goes back in to see Xavier at the end of a class, one of the students comes back because she forgets something, Xavier calls her Kitty then she walks through the door instead of opening it.In X2 during the attack on the school, when Siren wakes everbody up another girl runs out through a wall and into Collosus' room if I'm not mistaken. And at the end Xavier says "I know a little girl that can walk trough walls" as a threat to the President.Obviously both bit parts played by random bit actresses from the vancouver area.
4/24/2005 7:25:32 AM
"Tadpole" = Aaron Stanfordit was his first moviehe played a 15 year old who falls in love with his step-motheri think he has a lot of potentialand he's already worked with some amazing directors in his short career (woody allen, spike lee, david mamet, bryan singer)

Kelsey Grammer cast as Beast:http://www.superherohype.com/news/featuresnews.php?id=3023Features Angel, Beast, Kitty Pryde and Juggernaut
5/18/2005 3:31:38 PM
you know, that's not a bad casting choice
5/18/2005 3:48:58 PM
Yeah, he is pretty much spot on, the Beast's voice. I am just wondering if he will be able to handle the physical aspect of the role?[Edited on May 18, 2005 at 3:54 PM. Reason : k]
5/18/2005 3:54:14 PM
That's what they have stunt doubles and CGI for.
5/18/2005 4:16:17 PM
its gonna be interesting to see how they make him go blue...
5/18/2005 6:38:28 PM
sideshow beast
5/18/2005 6:40:34 PM
we've already seen doc mccoy as a human though
5/18/2005 6:42:49 PM
5/18/2005 6:55:02 PM
someone embed that footage of him falling off the stage
5/18/2005 7:33:32 PM
I wanna see what they do with Dr. McCoy. I loved that he was against violence if at all possible, and that he would only occasionally give over to his more beast-like nature. It was cool to see him get violent.
5/18/2005 8:18:44 PM
Kelsey Grammar as Beast is definately who I had on my dream cast, that's awesome!
5/19/2005 3:04:03 PM
5^ and we've see 4 different people play bruce wayne, and didn't a black guy in the first "batman" play harvey dent (aka two-face)? different people get cast to play the same role all the time
5/19/2005 3:15:13 PM
Beast was always my favorite, and Kelsey Grammar is a great idea. I can't wait for filming to start!
5/20/2005 10:14:54 AM
i can easily see Grammer as The Beast... i'm more concerned about Vinnie Jones as Juggey... i'm not sure how well that one will pan out...[Edited on May 20, 2005 at 10:34 AM. Reason : /]
5/20/2005 10:34:15 AM
i was always picturing brock lesnar as juggernaut
5/20/2005 10:36:43 AM
vinnie is a perfect cain marko
5/20/2005 10:40:44 AM
^ I concur. Holy shit, when I was thinking "Who'd make a good Juggy" Vinnie Jones popped up in my head.
5/20/2005 10:43:04 AM
you're never going to find someone who matches a character perfectly*i mean, i wouldn't trade hugh jackman for some 5'3" stuntmanso you have to think, in a realistic world, we're not going to see a guy who is 6'9" of solid muscle as wide as a semibut if you want an imposing, tall, well-worn individual - there are no better actors working than vinnie jones(*except patrick stewart, and to a lesser extent alan cumming)
5/20/2005 10:48:28 AM
brock lesnar is as close to a semi as you could getand who the hell is vinnie jones?
5/20/2005 10:55:32 AM
nononono more wrestlers plzthe guy who played sabertooth was enough thank youvinnie jones = the big british guyyeah, he's going for the ball there... yeah, he's going for the ball there... [Edited on May 20, 2005 at 11:04 AM. Reason : rough em up vinnie]
5/20/2005 11:01:00 AM
^^^ it's just that when i picture Cain Marko i picture someone who was a star quarterback-archetype who just happens to have ballooned beyond all reason... fair-haired and generally more of a jerk than someone who can do sadistically evil (like Jones can)...and not british... but then, neither was Xavier (i always thought they were new englanders)^ actually... when iw as thinking ahead to future characters some friends and i were trying to think of who we would cast as Bishop... the only one we could come up with who fit the bill was The Rock...[Edited on May 20, 2005 at 11:03 AM. Reason : .][Edited on May 20, 2005 at 11:04 AM. Reason : misread what you wrote... sorry]
5/20/2005 11:03:08 AM
uhmthe juggernaut was originally not as big as we know him today(pictars sure to come)i rescind that statement for lack of evidenceand as for vinnie's lack of experience
5/20/2005 11:10:28 AM
and i know that Juggey didn't always look huge... but even when he wasnt' huge he didn't look like street thug... he looked like an upper class asshole... kinda like how Tom Brady looks...if the franchise is too successful then you KNOW you'll see Bishop, Cable, Time Travel, Stryfe...the whole lot of them...of course, the only benefit of that would be that we'd get Apocalypse out of the deal...might anyway... any word on him being in this coming one... they have Angel, and if they wanna play with him then they need to make him blue eventually...[Edited on May 20, 2005 at 11:14 AM. OK, I'm thrilled with Grammer being cast as Beast. That is spot-on. I also think Jones as Juggernaut is a fantastic match.I can remember way back in the early 90's, all of my friends would sit around and make up our own cast for X-Men movies. Michael Dorn was hands down our vote for Bishop. I just don't ever see Bishop making it into any of the movies, though. But hey, I can dream. I'd love to see, above all else...That'll never happen, though, and that's probably a really good thing. [Edited on May 20, 2005 at 11:17 AM. Reason : stupid link]

Please, god, no Cable. The most overhyped, overblown character in the X-Men saga. Afterall Rob Liefeld did create Cable (in part if not all) and I despise Liefeld. One of the shittiest, overhyped comic book artists and comic creators ever.
