1. i bought the first season on DVD tonite
2. i think clark won't "harness" his flight ability till the very end of the show, he has "flown", [1. the twister, 2. from the daily planet to luthor corp tower]
3. while giving powers to pa kent is entirely against the canon, a lot of stuff has been, but it doesn't bother me, i think it should make for an enteresting show next week...

This show is getting kind of weird, in a sucky way... they need to move it forward, without pulling BS off...

Lex getting rid of his wife was kind of weird.. and joining up with his dad (I think this might be some kind of trick, but the way they had this scene directed seems to suggest otherwise), and for all the BS Clark pulls with lana, you would think they despise each other, and Clark would have had to be the one crawling back... and of all the people that DO know of Clark's secret, it doesn't seem to mkae sense for him to not tell Lana...

It was also kinda lame how they made Clark's dad become a super hero to save him...

as far as turning pa kent into a superhero to save clark, i have no problem with this in the smallville realm; they already had clark turn into a human in the first season, just cause of a lightning strike, so i can fully accept this situation...

and i hate to admit this, but i can't remember if clark ever tells lana his secret in the books...[i was always a marvel guy first ,but made exceptions for superman and batman...]

i want to say he does before he leaves for metropolis...

i caught it for the first time in a while tonight...saw a commercial during the simpsons earlier and it said 1961 or something and i'm always a fan of "superman in the past" stories

i've always gone by the john byrne "man of steel" series and in that clark tells lana he has powers and then wanders around the earth for a while before ending up in metropolis where he gets caught on tape and goes back to smallville to hide...then jonathan and martha make him a uniform

in the books, lana marries pete ross and pete becomes a senator or something i think

^^^ marko I always went with the John Bryne miniseries (I believe I have them all at home somewhere), but they have redone the story so many times, it doesn't really what they do here, as long as they stay true to the spirit of the original. I mean they have his personality different than in that miniseries -- in there he was the star football player because he was using his powers (before they got too powerful).

There is Krypto the Superdog, Streaky the Supercat, Beppo the Supermonkey, and Comet the Superhorse. I shit you not.

The dog and monkey were actually Kryptonian animals, the other two are from earth but got powers...the site explains it.

Last night's episode was pretty cool. For those who didn't see it, this guy developed powers of magnetism from an MRI. He got kryptenite in him from an accident at the fair and was put through the MRI, he had reacted to the magnetic field and became magneto jr. He was Lana's lab partner and used his powers to affect the magnetic impulses in her brain causing her to like him. Clark figures everything out and comes to the rescue.
Next week, someone stalks Lex. Thats all i got out of the previews.
