At least he didn't commit to somewhere else.
11/15/2011 12:22:54 PM
Yet
11/15/2011 12:26:09 PM
I'm pretty sure that Torian Graham is out of the equation at this point.
11/15/2011 12:26:37 PM
^we need forwards and bigs at this point anyway
11/15/2011 12:29:35 PM
11/15/2011 2:54:39 PM

11/15/2011 3:36:38 PM
That's from PackPride, I think.
11/15/2011 5:43:53 PM
If Jefferson is in fact at the Nova game tonight, at least he's watching them trail La Salle by 5 at the half!
11/15/2011 8:06:09 PM
great, he sees how much they need him

Dickie V just gave our recruiting some love during the UK-Kansas game when they were talking about Harrow transferring.

11/16/2011 10:56:05 AM
lol
11/16/2011 11:04:15 AM
it seems like coaches would be laying some sort of mini ultimatum in that if you dont sign now that scholly might not be there come spring. We shall see.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 11:05 AM. Reason : ]

vote for rodneyhttp://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/boys-basketball/post/_/id/1074/fans-choice-purvis-vs-j-anderson
11/16/2011 11:51:46 AM
Rodney is all the way down to 45% now
11/16/2011 12:00:39 PM
big noises around the community that Amile is going to commit today......to VillanovaWe'll see what happens. Crossing my fingers that is not true and NC State is the leader.
11/16/2011 12:06:39 PM
^ That would suck if true, but if it does play out that way, at least it would give Gott and company time to go after some other bigs.
11/16/2011 12:10:03 PM
^^, ^i've heard all kinds of things, and now Kentucky and tOSU seem to be making a late push. with Nova and Stanford out
11/16/2011 12:24:16 PM
kinda weird, becuase his camp had a "final 5" for a few weeks that didn't include nova.
11/16/2011 12:24:49 PM
^would lead me to believe he may have known that he wanted to go to Nova all along, if he does commitFor what its worth, i'd just like to add that this kid is more than just a great player. He's the type of kid you want to see conducting interviews, and help the program establish a good identity. Very intelligent and well spoken, and would be a Russell Wilson-like player in terms of image.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 12:52 PM. Reason : .]
11/16/2011 12:45:53 PM
^yeah, that kind of worries me too. he seems like too good of a kid to attend the hometown college's game, get all their hopes up, and then spurn them. of course, it wouldn't really be spurning them, but that's how they'd see it.

Nova is in a dying conference. Not to mention Amile has been quoted as saying he wants to come in with lots of talent so he can win. The ONLY thing that Nova has on us, is the fact that they are closer to home. However, we know all too well how location can factor into a recruitment (Leslie, Purvis, Lewis, Warren)
11/16/2011 1:26:34 PM
kids gotta cut that cord sooner or later
11/16/2011 1:30:54 PM
^well, i'm certainly glad purvis, warren, and to a lesser degree, lewis decided not to.
11/16/2011 1:37:41 PM
Zagoria reporting Amile's coach says he won't announce today
11/16/2011 1:42:04 PM
^was confirmed by a bunch of other sources

Well shit
11/16/2011 9:01:38 PM
CJL decommitted, was widely believed to be a UK lean, then surprised the world by choosing NCST.l The difference seemed to be that he was swayed by other talent that he gelled with in his class. Nova has a couple of solid guy already committed - how tight are they with AJ? Are they as tight as Zo, Harrow, and CJL were? If not, I would feel better about our chances...
11/16/2011 10:40:48 PM
You people were surprised Leslie recommitted? Lol
11/17/2011 10:25:09 AM
dang man, you seem to really be in the know
11/17/2011 10:41:12 AM
^^ at the time, extremely surprisedknowing what we know now... not at alla terrible freshman year (by fan standards), a coaching change, and a poor attitude...after all those things he still didn't transfer like "mr. wolfpack" harrowsounds like mama wanted him local and he was always going to go to state

Is it really a dying conference for basketball? I mean, the conference probably won't even die in football, just get spread out thin and possibly lose their BCS status. The prestige of the basketball schools in the Big East isn't really in question. Worst case scenario they break off and form a smaller basketball-centric conference. I have a hard time seeing Villanova getting excluded from a deal like that. And it probably won't happen during Amile's term in college anyway.

So recruits must be seeing that we've got a good coach and a good team... but we still have room for improvement and elite ballers.

Report on Warren from the National Prep Showcase where Brewster Academy was playing.http://www.draftexpress.com/article/2011-National-Prep-Showcase-Elite-2012-Prospects-3821/T.J. Warren, 6-8, Post-Grad, SF/PF, Brewster Academy, Committed to North Carolina StateJoe TreutleinOne of the most gifted pure scorers we saw this weekend, T.J. Warren (#23 ESPN, #22 Scout, #23 Rivals) has an interesting package of skills for a forward prospect, to go along with an excellent feel for the game.Standing 6'8 with a thick frame and good strength, Warren has excellent size for a small forward, but is undersized for a power forward, while he is likely a below average athlete for either position from a quickness and explosiveness standpoint. What makes Warren such a high level prospect is his ability to put the ball in the basket from all over the floor and his overall feel for doing so, something that was only partly on display this weekend given the role he sometimes has to play on his extremely talented team. In the game we saw, Warren did most of his damage finishing on lay-ups in the halfcourt in transition, showing good creativity and touch around the rim along with fantastic hands and an excellent ability to get open in good position, as he scored 22 points on excellent 10-for-12 shooting from the field.Warren also flashed some perimeter abilities here, but largely didn't utilize his highly developed dribble-drive and spot-shooting game, arguably his best assets as a prospect at this stage. Warren doesn't have a blazing first step or incredibly advanced ball-handling, but he has a very controlled dribble, an excellent ability to make subtle changes of direction, and a knack for putting the ball in the basket no matter where he is on the floor. He also isn't shy about throwing around his well-built frame and using his great size advantage against opposing 3's, being a good finisher inside despite a mostly below-the-rim game. Warren's equally impressive as a shooter, having a high and quick release with clear cut three-point range, making him a very dangerous scorer in all regards.Looking forward, Warren has the makings of an excellent college player with some serious scoring abilities, something that gives him a nice foundation to build upon looking ahead to the next level. Maximizing his athletic abilities and continuing to develop his overall game will be key for him, but it's tough to gauge his long term potential before seeing how his game translates against college competition and real half-court defenses.
