Its definitely difficult. Keep in mind I'm only on this in the context of a portion of our fanbase that EXPECTS we compete for championships. Those expectations simply don't match what the fanbase and donorbase are willing to contribute. I'm just being real and my expectations are realistic. I expect making the tournament and making bowls but I don't ever EXPECT to compete for championships.

Sure, we all WANT championships, but until we either put out the money or the fan commitment on par with championship competition, its those people's overambitious expectations that I'm responding to.

Holy shit the officiating.....unfortunately you gotta stop stepping on your own dick if you want people to actually notice a refereeing discrepancy like we have tonight. As usual we will make enough stupid ass plays that folks will point to those as the reason why we lost rather than half our starters being on the bench for half the first half and then being in the double bonus from the 11 min mark. No doubt. I hate the way our team consistently settles for contested threes but when you have Markell and Bryce get to the basket on consecutive possessions late in the first half only to get mauled and miss the layups with no call, I kinda get the cranking threes bullshit. Bad refereeeing straight up changes basketball games.

Now it’s still a 10-2 lead after that. Then a made Hellems 3 makes it 13-4. Then

The point isn’t necessarily the missed 3s, they might not have been bad shots (don’t remember them specifically). But getting 9 possessions and attempting 0 2 pointers is bad. And 9 possessions with only 3 shots is also very bad.

Had a chance to go up really big or at least maintain that lead. And instead it was 13-10 after that sequence.
