the other team also has Vic Cruz. would I be crazy to try to flip Reed for Cruz? other team is proclaiming their WR depth, and I might be able to pull it off.

So I won again! AHA But I'm still convinced that half the owners in my league aren't actual people. Next year, I need to find a private ladies' league where people actually play and stuff.

Just in general, since they are both free agents, who would you rather have; Marlon Brown or Doug Baldwin?

Probably Baldwin, especially since they are at Atlanta next week.

Since Rodgers seems to be out with his shoulder, I'm looking to pick up a QB for at least the next couple of weeks. The top available ones that I can see are:

Eli (eh) at Oak
Jake Locker at Jax
Nick Foles at GB

I'd start the top 3 due to not facing Seattle secondary. Although wright and Douglas are pretty interchangeable.

I'm planning on picking up Doug Martin.. I've got the most waiver $$ but I'm like fifth in priority. How important is it that I get him? I don't really want somebody else to beat me with him, but he hasn't been very good, I'd probably only use him if the matchup is right unless he starts playing better. Or should I not bother at all

^If your not going to use him besides matchup I wouldn't break the bank. Offer what you are comfortable offering, and if you get him great, if not you still have your $$ left for other targets. There is always the risk that at 0-9 they just shut him down despite reports.

I just lost Rodgers for the next 3 weeks minimum. Would you do this trade:

I give:
Chris Johnson
Ryan Tannehill

I get:
Steven Jackson
Colin Kaepernick

My RBs are:
AP, McCoy, Johnson and Andre Brown (I made some deals to get McCoy and AP and have no depth)

thoughts?

Forgot to add that Jake Locker, Terrelle Pryor, and Big Ben are on waivers. Is one of those 3 and Chris Johnson better for the rest of the season than Kaepernick/Steven Jackson for the rest of the year?

I picked up McCown for a stop-gap this weekend. There's no reason to believe he won't have a 250+ yard, 2+ TD game

^Gonna have to watch and verify that Cutler doesn't end up starting. I think the Bears would be crazy to start him against the Lions pass-rush, but could see Cutler being dumb enough to insist he play.

Pick 1 PPR: VJax vs Miami, Nicks vs Oakland, or Garcon @ Minnesota

^I'd probably go Garcon. Minny's secondary hasn't been great.

^^Cutler practiced today, so I'd at least check on that one. I have him and McCown in a 2QB league, so I'm hoping they'll rest Cutler one more week to make sure he's 100% when he comes back(though my other QBs are Luck and Stafford, so not overly worried just don't want to drop McCown and Cutler go down again).

I'd probably just pick up locker or possibly pryor. Stephen Jackson isn't worth a shit. I should know,I still have him.

question for general edification: when it comes to voting against trades, does anyone here reserve that for obviously unfair trades/collusion, or would you veto a fair deal if it had a good chance to negatively impact your team (as a non-participant of the trade)?

I would only vote against a trade that seems to be obvious collusion. That's just me...but that's never really been an issue in the two leagues I participate in each year

^ given that, should I start cutler or locker this week? (Brady is on bye). Gotta go locker right?

^^Sadly I LOVE the match-up for Cutler, but I think he's rushing his return and if he were to go down early, you'd be strapped. Locker has a favorable match-up, so I think I'd stick with him for a safer play. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they ran the ball 40 times against the Jags.

^I'm not a Bears fan, but throughout my multiple fantasy teams, I do own the big 4 of the Bears on offense, haha. I am indeed worried that he's rushing it back trying to take the lead in the division. My fear would be that it would be very tempting for the DL, one that is KNOWN for being dirty, to go after that groin. Personally a big fan of making sure a guy is 100% and has a full week of practice before you thrust him back into the line-up, esp. with how well McCown has played in his absence.

people who veto perfectly good trades because it means they might lose later on in the season are huge dicks.

I didn't even realize you could vote on trades. I just always assumed you trusted your commissioner to play the right cards.

Locker@Jax or Keenum@Ari ?

Keenum still FA in my league, considering dropping Rashad Jennings or Joique Bell to pick up Keenum regardless of who I start this week just incase he blows the fuck up and a potential future opponent uses him against me.

^^ With your team I'd rather have Megatron

^ Thats tough. They are about equal. Do you think the Titans won't need the pass against Jax? I'd roll the dice on Keenum, him and AJ are looking good.

Need a decision quick.

RGIII tonight

Luck vs StL

^Yeah my concern is that CJ will just roll the fuck over again and locker won't need to pass. I don't see a reason to have 3 QB on my bench (Brady) so you may have convinced me to gamble on Keenum and drop Locker.

Sorry I'm terrible at return advice, but I did read the week 10 excerpts from fantasypro that listed RGIII under 'buy low'. So busy with work I didn't even realize it was Thursday and football was on tonight.

Robert Griffin III, QB, WAS (Redraft/Dynasty) - Save for the Broncos game, Griffin is on a clear trend of playing better and moving the offense more effectively as the season goes on. Last week, his owners were snakebit by Washington scoring all four touchdowns on the ground. Between his schedule and dual threat skillset, Griffin will be a QB1 with elite upside for the rest of the season. This might be the best chance you’ll have in a long time to acquire him in dynasty leagues.

on a related TEN/JAX note

I need a RB. M. James is available (waivers until Sat.) as is Shonn Greene. James is the obvious choice, but is Greene a startable RB? TEN could roll, with no real need to pass, and they may even pull CJ, leaving it up to Greene.

I have the waiver claim on James, but I'm 12th, haha

Redskins

Sproles (vs DAL) or Woodhead (vs DEN)? 0.5 PPR and 1 point per 25 return yards.

I went Vikings lol

yall were too slow.

Thats really tough...I love sproles just because he catches so many passes...Woodhead, it really depends on if they want to power run or pass the ball.

With that said, i'd go sproles AS LONG as he is 100% healthy.

*sigh* Steven Jackson vs. Seattle, Ray Rice vs. Cincy, or Joique Bell @ Chicago as RB2 behind McCoy?

Fucking Rice is breaking my balls this year. I could also pick up Ryan Mathews or Deangelo Williams from waivers I guess.

Former Doug Martin owner. I held on to my #1 WW when M James came up but I had a few options at RB to carry me. What's your position? If you're confident you can scoop him for cheap you're guaranteed carries albeit on a shitty team.

I think I tried picking up Shonn Greene last week. Isn't he to Johnson what Tolbert was to Matthews last season? Redzone back that ninjas all of CJ's TDs? If those were my two options and I didn't get a clear cut RB2, I don't think I'd feel too terrible if I had to roll with Greene.

Dunno if Ben Tate is available in your league and he's at like 80% but might be worth considering too.

I never give advice so take all that with a grain of salt.

Rashad Jennings was FA for me Wed morning in 12 team PPR he should be good for another week or two.
