Yesterday and today...
5/21/2008 2:47:50 PM
TIP and IAU are the only winners I have today.
5/21/2008 3:55:07 PM
Yeah the past 2 days have been full of lots and lots of red
5/21/2008 4:01:52 PM
Down almost $1,100 for today. Plus the ~$700 from yesterday...
5/21/2008 4:02:53 PM
Yeah I am down about 7.5% in 2 days, trying to look for a buying opportunity out of this, but with such fast drops all around I am pretty hesitant.
5/21/2008 4:10:26 PM
sweeti've been waiting for a dip like this to buy another position in something
5/21/2008 4:47:54 PM

5/22/2008 12:13:06 PM

5/22/2008 12:15:16 PM
i'm thinking if we see a crude pullback, it'll take down energy and moreso alternative energy stocks down. that might be a good chance to get long dated calls on solar, coal, nat gasthoughts?
5/22/2008 2:19:07 PM
Has anyone else been watching CNBC today? The ticker keeps flashing AMERICAN OIL CRISIS, which I haven't seen before today.
5/22/2008 2:20:22 PM

5/22/2008 2:35:41 PM
I'm going to go ahead and post these here so that I can close the windows on my browser.CNN article on REITs and real estate related stocks:http://money.cnn.com/2008/05/16/markets/thebuzz/index.htm?postversion=2008051614Motley Fool on DRIPs:http://www.fool.com/school/13steps/13steps05.htm

I'm really, really, really tired of losing money.
5/23/2008 11:34:09 AM
ok, so i ponied up a little bit and bought some DUG at 3:59 pmi'd been contemplating it all day, but i finally cast aside the analysis paralysis and pulled the trigger[Edited on May 23, 2008 at 4:04 PM. Reason : pm]
5/23/2008 4:02:43 PM
i ended up buying some Canadian National Railway (CNI). Still have a few hundred bucks left in my Scottrade acct, so when the first of the month comes and my next auto-transfer hits, i'll have enough to buy another position in something.(or if i see anything i really want to buy before then, i could sell my Navteq (NVT), which has pretty much flat-lined in share price since the Nokia deal was announced.)

What do yall think about investing with Edward Jones?
5/27/2008 2:43:45 PM
Don't invest with Edward Jones. They are just salesman. The only thing they will recommend is certain Edward Jones products that give increased returns to the salesmen.
5/27/2008 3:15:21 PM
any suggestions other than doing it myself
5/27/2008 3:47:36 PM
The main thing is finding a financial planner that is fee based rather than commission based.I haven't used one myself, but a lot of my coworkers like Team Wealth Investments
5/27/2008 3:48:20 PM
Do not touch Edward Jones with a ten foot pole. All they have is 5.75% loaded mutual funds and annuities.I wouldn't send my worst enemy to that hackshop.
5/27/2008 11:18:05 PM
This thread + doing it yourself = best way
5/28/2008 10:09:07 AM
