So I've never walked in a Coldwater Creek in my life, but my mother in law randomly bought me some shirts and blazers from there that are actually quite cute. Now I don't look like a hobo at work on the days I wear them

the doctor's went fine yesterday, no pain.

it was interesting though, apparently they dont do breast exams unless the patient asks for it. Every time I've had my yearly I've had a breast exam, so I had him do it this time. He had me sit up (usually I'm laying down) and then he jiggled my boobies a bit and touched them a whole lot differently then my old doctors... he says they checked out fine.

yeah, he was really nice too, he was pretty old, looks like in his 70s. It seemed very thorough and professional and there was a nurse in the room. I've just never had a breast exam that way.

Maybe at his age he's still in old school medicine mode. (Knowing nothing other than what you've just posted ...) I'd find a different doctor.

I had a lady doctor talk to me about his own college aged daughter and what she was studying in school while he was examining my lady parts

it was so fucking awkward I wanted to die

I think I would lol if an old man started jiggling my titties around. I also have not had a breast exam in a couple years. Not a professional one at least.

Quote :
" Bimanual Palpation Techniques while Sitting

The health care provider will ask you to sit down on a chair with your arms draped along your sides. They will use their right hand above the left hand to palpate the right breast and vice versa. By using the tips of their fingertips they will compress the breast tissue between their fingertips. This should be completed on both breasts – using reversed hand positions.

This is the best breast exam technique for checking for any nodules, masses, tenderness or inconsistencies within the breasts. Some of these abnormalities may not be felt during a breast palpation in a lying position so it is important that both tests are completed. "

Yeah, I should probably get my tatas checked out. It's been about 5 years since I've had a doctor look at them.

LOVE IT! the cut and the color!

oh and from reading back, i must be the only girl that actually likes going to the ob/gyn. my doctor is wonderful. every time i see her, it's like going to see my best friend (uhm, who touches me in weird places). but she delivered both of my kiddos, so i have a fantastic almost hero-worship like relationship with her.

Back in the day I used Logo Joe's in Cary to get some t-shirt printing done. They did a really good job and when there was some issues with the way some of the shirts came out they fixed it no problem in less than 24 hours. And they're local

Re lady docs: I prefer going to see my gynecologist over my general practitioner. I love my doc; she was also my ob and i got lucky that she delivered our baby (though the nurse does all the work...but that's for another topic another day)

And I looooooooooove your cut & color DDK!!

this was my first time returning to my raleigh doc since i moved away in 2007, and I went back to the same doctor and she was as awesome as ever. quick and thorough, got all my prescriptions in to the harris teeter before I got there, and it is basically in the same parking lot. she talked to me about trying to get preggers with PCOS and all that jazz and got me prepared for what we were going to do after I get married, also talked to me about planning my period around the wedding and honey moon and such.

I love my GYN. I've been going to him since 2008 and hopefully can continue to see him. If any of you ladies have Aetna then I'm sure you feel my pain with the whole Rex/UNC debacle that has been going on for a year. Luckily my doctor is still accepting my insurance but if I was to get pregnant like today I would have to find a doctor who works out of Wake Med Cary or Duke Raleigh (bad experience at Duke Raleigh so that knocks them out).

I've debated going on my fiancee's insurance plan because we've been in a domestic partnership for well over a year but his company is super small and I'm not trying to mess with their rates. especially with some of the medical issues I have had in the past.

Stupid Aetna I hope they google themselves and find this post.

Can anyone suggest a really easy to do yourself formal hairdo? I am going to a ball next weekend and don't want to just wear my hair down like I always do, but I am hair-tarded. And I will be in Florida, so can't take a curling iron or anything.
