u guys shouldn't have disbanded Business Casual. I was keeping it for our alts...could have just promoted Golo to GM. sigh
4/23/2007 9:13:33 PM
haha business casual, that's a good guild name
4/23/2007 10:54:11 PM
don't you worry<DINO RYDERZ> is on the way
4/24/2007 1:24:06 AM
Only if the maintank is a dr00d.
4/24/2007 1:40:42 AM
He is better geared than our MT.
4/24/2007 1:48:17 AM
done and done
4/24/2007 2:00:48 AM
our MT was a druid for a while
4/24/2007 3:00:01 AM
dr00ds are good for tanking man.So much armor.
4/24/2007 3:56:47 AM
i (drood) MT'd all of karazhan til we recruited a few more warriors for the guild ive tanked everytihng there except for nightbane
4/24/2007 8:30:33 AM
Yep pretty much every successful run I've been in has had a druid tanking, I've started plenty of runs where the warrior tanks and druid dps's and after 3 or 4 wipes swap spots and zero deaths from there on out. Maybe I have just had shitty warrior tanks, but I'm definitely down with druids.
4/24/2007 9:19:27 AM
dude you need to make a sweet tabard. something that screams DINO RYDERZ. maybe like DMX on top of a pterodactyl. on fire. with bitches and money.
4/24/2007 9:36:29 AM
half a bubble away from ownage
4/24/2007 9:39:23 AM
I looked for that very icon, but I think blizzard has some beef with DMX or something
4/24/2007 9:45:46 AM
definitely sounds like shitty warrior tanks.
4/24/2007 11:20:18 AM
what do you guys think about this as a post-patch build. primarily designed for raids.http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?3053001050000000000000253052000050105023212510000000000000000000000

seems like you chose a bunch of lame talents because you had to use them as fillers.I would probably drop the weapon skill, nerves of steel, and 5/5 dodge for 3/3 gouge = having fun in pvp (or 3/5 dodge if you want mitigation)5/5 parry = mitigation is mitigation 5% parry or 5% dodge, this way you can farm with riposte.2/2 sprint = 1.5m cooldown reduction? or knowing you can always break movement impairing effects2/2 kick = didn't realize this was the same tier as sprint and endurance. You could opt for this as the filler if you want. You could also consider stealing a point from each ruthless and lethality to throw 2/2 murder depending on the type of raiding you're going to be doing.I dunno it's been a while since i've played my rogue...Just seems while parry/riposte/sprint/gouge are totally not raid talents, that deep into combat why not make the most of your filler points instead of dumping them into shit that gives at most, minimal dps increase.http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?3052201040000000000003203550120050105003210510000000000000000000000/2c[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 1:22 PM. anybody use a laptop to play WoW? got suggestions?
4/24/2007 1:22:43 PM
1gb memory or more, a somewhat decent card. Most processors now should be able to take care of it since the game is 2 years old.I "ran" it on a horrible celeron laptop with a built in card and 256mb ram with EVERYTHING turned off, but it looked horrible and was barely playable.
4/24/2007 1:31:30 PM
ditto on the ram. i was able to run on my laptop with a nice videocard but it got choppy like crazy and i'd have to relog to get decent performance after flying anywhere.1gig min. 2 is nice if possible
4/24/2007 1:43:53 PM
I have a laptop with 512 RAM that WoW plays decently on (even in 40 mans). It outperformed my old desktop until I upgraded its RAM. RAM seems to be the bottleneck for most older/less powerful machines.
4/24/2007 2:04:37 PM
^^^^^yea i can see taking out the weapon skill spec, but i don't think sprint would be a good investment because cloak of shadows essentially does the same thing (very few things it doesn't dispel).[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 2:17 PM. Reason : .]
4/24/2007 2:17:37 PM
my toshiba laptop has 2 gigs of ram on it and it runs WoW like a dream
4/24/2007 2:25:57 PM
If you are doing pvp on a regular basis you will be happy you had both, sprint is great for getting out of say ice nova without wasting your CoS which could be more useful for say getting all those nasty warlock dots that are about to get tossed at you. Your options become sit there and wait for the dots while the mage blasts away and runs, or waste your CoS and then warlock dots pwn your face[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 2:27 PM. Reason : .]

skank if what you want to do is raid, take 2 points out of dodge and put them into improved poison damage or murder. otherwise your build is fine. since you're fists, you don't need improve gouge so I don't see a reason not to keep your points lightning reflexes. I'm combat fists as well so you can see my build herehttp://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#character-sheet.xml?r=Baelgun&n=Ripthejacker
4/24/2007 4:05:36 PM
I'm running it on a dell piece of shit till my desktop is std free. Has worked fine fo rthe past month.
4/24/2007 4:11:29 PM
I'm running it on a laptop all the time until I get my media center built to play it on my HD TV.I have HP 2gig dual core and it runs great but can get hot. Really never had any problems but every blue moon will act up and maybe freeze. I'd recommend a laptop cooler thing that goes under it to prevent or minimize that. Haven't done a raid yet so I couldn't tell ya if it's different.
4/24/2007 4:27:37 PM
Yeah, not looking to do raids on it... just to grind things while I watch tv.
4/24/2007 4:35:48 PM
Alienware laptop.
4/24/2007 7:18:18 PM
1 gig of ram...any of the dual core processors out there, ideally you'd want at least a 1.8 ghz clockspeed, but plenty of people run using the 1.66s without any hassle...you want some kind of dedicated graphics card, although it's not required if you don't care about the game looking pretty, and just want something that'll run...(i ran it on a my laptop when i was playing, 1 gig of ram, 2.0 c2d processor, x1700 gpu, it ran smoothly at anywhere between 40-80 fps depending on the area)[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 7:55 PM. what teh fuck does weapon choice have to do with whether you take improved gouge or not. I wasn't exactly telling him to get it so he could tick enough energy with it to backstab >.<Anyway, you see what the important talents you want from both trees are. The rest of the shit is personal preference based on your play style for the times you're not raiding. I always liked Riposte for farming. Hell getting a lucky parry on a cleave gives you 150% dmg for 10 energy.gouge, reflexes, deflection, sprint, endurance, kick, loltwisting, nerves of steel. Pick those best suited for you.SS, SnD, Precision, BF, AR, Weapon Spec, Aggression, Vitality, Potency, Surprise Attacks. Main raid talents.Like I said, it's been a while, so 41 points and picking up murder and poisons is probably more raid viable than keeping 44 in combat and robbing a few from others in assassination to fill them out.[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 10:52 PM. definitly just got outrolled on wrathtide longbow by a warrior .... i hope someone shoots his mother.
4/25/2007 4:31:28 AM
yeah, I now that I've gone to combat fists/maces, I can say the amount I use gouge has gone down so much I almost whish I didnt have the talent. Sometimes though, I get in a jam, whether in arenas or solo'in, where I have to gouge and get a few ticks of a bandage off to live. Although now that honor tokens are useless, I usually have a ton of those pots on me and use those instead. So it's definitely a very situational talent when you aren't relying on backstabs anymore.
4/25/2007 9:11:42 AM
the only time i have to use CC (other than imp sap) is when there's a really nasty in an instance pull, or something else aggro's. even then i usually have evasion and blind up to take care of about 20-25 seconds of unpleasantness.

4/26/2007 11:22:09 AM
good luck actually swinging your weapon with that much dodge
4/26/2007 11:24:26 AM
he's got nice weaps and like 30% crit too O.o
4/26/2007 11:25:43 AM
Why bother on a lvl 10? I can see lvl 19 pvp, I've twinked out before at that level, but a would a lvl 10 be viable?
4/26/2007 11:39:25 AM
No, it'll be funny.
4/26/2007 11:43:50 AM
Well if his dodge is over 100% even the level difference may not make that much of a difference in a BG. and his hp's are gonna be on par with all but the most twinked out.
4/26/2007 11:46:54 AM
i think i've pretty much settled on http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?3053001050000000000000233550120050105023010510000000000000000000000

Murder or Poisons will increase your dps more than weapon skill
4/27/2007 11:25:00 AM
murder isn't as useful for raids, poisons are good sometimes, but i figure the weaponskill will help more in raids and pvp as it adds .5% chance of crit, hit, and lowers peoples block and parry and dodge chance against me by the same
4/27/2007 11:29:49 AM
they really did nerf the fucck out of weapon skill ;x it used to be so amazing
4/27/2007 12:12:18 PM
So my blood elf mage is 57, should i hit up outland at 58 right away or try and do some more azeroth to get closer to 60?
4/27/2007 12:46:12 PM
you can hit up outland at 57 if you get a summon or portal.
4/27/2007 12:49:48 PM
hit outland asap
