She didn't style it the way I really wanted, so I straightened it.. but yay, my hair feels so much better. Tomorrow I'm going to style it with curls. And the color doesn't really show up well here.. it's basically the same color as Christina Hendricks' pics on the last page.

Love the cut Sam.....BTW, I know you have had trouble with some hair loss, so I don't know if it is the cut or not, but your hair looks pretty thick there. And you look lovely.

thanks I'm excited to see what it will look like when I blow dry it myself (like the pictures I posted)

but I am digging it... and piddlebug, that's one reason I wanted to chop my hair off - I knew going shorter than what I had it would make it seem fuller

I think I got 4 - 4 1/2 inches cut off

more target excitement. a shirt i had bought the other day i really wanted in another color, but they didn't have my size. well...go home and put on the one i got in my normal go to size, but it's just a LITTLE snug in the chest thanks to my larger breastmilk-filled boobies.

SO! double excitement for a larger chest (admittedly i'm always pretty excited about that nowadays) AND that i got to go back today and get the color i wanted in the next size up

and i'm really digging your hair color. i've never really got in to dying my hair, but seeing that makes me want to. i won't...but i do like yours a lot a lot

So, I'm about to bite the bullet and cut several inches from my hair. The ends are so dead and I need to get it healthy again.

Going from this to something around shoulder length:

Any recommendations for nice shoulder-length styles?

Digging this Aniston style, but would love other ideas:

I was thinking about the boob situation, it'll def be a little crazy there.

I found it on anthropologie for $248, mixed reviews on it. Definitely one to try on or keep a return receipt just in case.

I do want a pretty coat similar to that though that would look good on a curvier woman.

You can find some BEAUTIFUL discounted coats on ideeli. Just stay on top of the sales.

If you're concerned about sizing, you may want to look for a belted coat rather than just buttons. They're a bit more forgiving if you have an ample chest or if your weight fluctuates.

^Oh, and I think your hair is going to look great with the Aniston cut, if you go that way. Judging by the pictures you posted, that's about the right length for you anyways, and I think it'll make it look very clean and healthy.

Have you thought about bangs? You have the eyes to pull off bangs really well.

^ def thinking about bangs. I have fine lines on my forehead that I'd love to hide under bangs. Just not sure what bangs are in style now. Sideswept or blunt-cut? Sideswept is probably safest and easier to hide if I don't like them.

I want to bring pics to show the hairdresser. Who should I google?

I think Reese Witherspoon always has great bangs, and I personally always love her hair. My stylist does more what Sam's looks like up there ^^^, where she'll contour around my eyes. They're very "fringy" and when they grow out a bit, easy to sweep to the side.

I definitely wouldn't go blunt, straight across, but that's just because I'm personally not a fan of that style.

This could be really cute on you if you did it with longer layers: http://bob-haircut.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/2009-bob-hairstyle-from-kimberly-caldwell-1.jpg

I definitely like the longer Reese Witherspoon style there ^

I need to go shorter to get my hair healthier, but my face is so round that I have to be careful about going too short, even though I love short hair. Kelly Ripa has a similar style, which I like.

Also, looking forward to shopping for some Jessica Simpson clip-on hair extensions for fun nights out with the girls.

Every time I click on this thread I ask myself why I do it...I'm not a fashionista and I don't care about hair either. Most days I'm in sweat pants and a tank top with my hair thrown up on top of my head.

But every time I click on this thread I wish I was into clothes, hair and the like. And maybe had the money to spend on things like that.

You don't need lots of money! One of my favorite things now is looking in thrift stores, or scalping LOFT and getting a ridiculous sale. Plus, for hair I go to the Aveda institute so it's much cheaper

I'm not into clothes and fashion and stuff either but I'm trying to get more into it. I want to transition into a full-time recruitment position at my work and for that you have to dress nicely and get your hurr dud.

^ Hell yeah love Aveda Institute. Last time I went though the guy I had was super nervous and barely cut any of my hair off. Hence why I need another haircut so soon

I used to not care about fashion/beauty, but then I realized that, from a professional standpoint, fashion/beauty is a great icebreaker with other women in a professional setting. Plus, looking good can help you feel more confident in business settings.

The key is to discover stylish, yet comfy attire. Cute flats that won't kill your feet. Leggings with flowy tops or with slouchy sweaters. Simple tanks and tees with pretty embellishments, like a hint of lace or a small ruffle. And Maxi dresses are as comfy as pajamas!

You don't have to dress like a cast member from Sex and the City. Casual and comfy can still be stylish.

Oh, and TJ Maxx and Marshall's are your best friend. So friendly on the wallet.

Marshall's is my joint! I love that place!!!!

Lucy, I did the straight across bangs before and it took a while to train my bangs rght and then when I wanted to grow out the bangs again it took a while to train my hair to go back. If you're going to do it, now is the time since its cooler and less humid out.

Stay at home mom here so no need to look professional!

I do like to see what looks y'all come up with. And as for hair, my husbands aunt works at Mitchells and cuts it for free. I get it cut about twice a year since it's free (and I hate to take advantage of people) and I haven't had the guts or care to color my hair since highlighting in high school.
Meh. I'll live vicariously through you gals!!

I heard that location wasn't that great.

I was about to write it off....then again I hate shopping at TJ Maxx & Marshalls. I don't have the patience for that type of store. I can only hand accessory shopping there.

I'm the same way - minimal patience for stores like that. But, in comparison to other area Marshalls/TJM I have been to, this one seemed nice. The racks were packed, but well organized, it wasn't a mess, etc. It was a little lacking in home items, like sheets. I only went for about 10 minutes to check it out - will def be going back to shop though. There's a Calvin Klein dress there I am in love with!

^^^OMFG I love that jacket.

It doesn't have a waste size on that size chart. How small do you think it the small will be in the waste if it fits a 32" bust? (which is slightly larger than me)
