yeah, I'm not expecting a 70+ win season next year. Not having a real center is going to be a huge issue (looks like Ezeli is gone too), but they are going to be insane offensively. After what happened this past season I'm hesitant to crown them champs for 2017 like some people already have, but they've got 4 All-Stars in their starting line up and 2 top three players. Super stoked for next season...

Yeah, I'd take the field over them if I was betting on championship futures. The over/under should probably be about 64.GSW have been insanely lucky with injuries the past couple years. Durant could hurt his foot, Curry could injure an ankle or knee etc. I'm just amazed it happened. I was sure KD was going to sign a 1+1 in OKC, make one more run there, and then go elsewhere if it didn't work out.

it was certainly a pleasant surprise waking up to a bunch of texts saying the Ws got KD. totally thought he'd stick it out one more year in OKC given how close they got.

7/4/2016 6:21:40 PM
the window for him to make that move was now and now onlythe circumstances for him to have been able to make the move are pretty incredible
7/4/2016 6:21:58 PM
Yeah, I think they'll experiment with a lot of lineups. They'll still win 60+ but it'll be a slow start IMO.
7/4/2016 6:56:33 PM
Maybe 14-6 in the first 20. Winning 60-70% of your games while you figure out lineups and rotations isn't some outrageous prediction.
7/4/2016 7:43:59 PM
Lol yall kidding right. They have 4 superstars. It doesnt matter who they put at 5 theyll be playing teams with much bigger weaknesses. Kd will play barnes role and finish late in the shot clock. No ones role changes. Curry could miss the season and theyd still be the favorite. They are the best team ever assembled by a large margin.
7/4/2016 8:58:13 PM
Yeah, they are, but that doesn't mean they'll win 80 games. They probably won't even win 70. I almost guarantee that they'll be watching minutes especially down the stretch. They're also going to be very thin depth wise. One injury to Curry, Klay, KD, or Green and they're a worse team than they were last year because they don't have the depth.
7/4/2016 9:04:25 PM
Who do they lose besides barnes bogut ezeli? Surely they cann sign some center who wants a free ring right?
7/4/2016 10:02:06 PM
Yeah, old serviceable vets will be lining up to take pay cuts to join this team.
7/4/2016 10:12:53 PM
just signed Zaza Pachulia, so there's one
7/4/2016 10:22:09 PM
Wonder if Westbrook replaces parker
7/5/2016 1:24:51 AM
That's what I'm hoping for. If the KD experiment works out then the Spurs will need more firepower and Westbrook would certainly be that. Not sure how he would fit into the system but it's certainly worth a shot.
7/5/2016 7:49:33 AM
Zaza pickup definitely helps. This team is going to be so much fun to watch...
7/5/2016 9:23:02 AM
7/5/2016 10:52:55 AM
yeah, the only people hating this are the lunatic fringe oklahoma fans.i bet he's a goddamn hero in seattle.
7/5/2016 3:31:30 PM
I think the general consensus is that KD is only loyal to himself and is chasing a ring. All after he spewed a bunch of twitter nonsense a few years ago when other players made similar moves.
7/5/2016 3:53:25 PM
I'm not OKC fan, but I hate this move. I wouldn't have cared if he went to the clippers or celtics, but the warriors.... ugh. Reminds me of the 90s Yankees that everyone hated. I'll be rooting for anyone but the Warriors this year.
7/5/2016 3:53:38 PM
7/5/2016 4:13:18 PM
they just signed David West. LOL
7/5/2016 4:45:52 PM
Lots more hate on KD than from OKC fans. I mean, he chose to join the team that came back from a 3-1 deficit to beat his team like a month earlier. That would be like if instead of taking his talents to South Beach, Lebron had decided to just go to the Spurs who had just beaten him. At least KD didn't have a "The Decision."
7/5/2016 4:54:07 PM
^^^My problem is with the disparity in talent on teams. When you can pencil in a champion with relative confidence before the season starts, it sucks for the fans. Yes, the warriors have made good choices and given themselves a leg up. But with the huge jump in salary cap this year they have effectively been given a "no salary cap" year of sorts. Just about every team had almost a max salary worth of cap space available and in any other year, the warriors wouldn't have been able to sign KD without him taking a steep discount.[Edited on July 5, 2016 at 4:59 PM. Eliminate max contrCts and the problem is solved but the union is dominated by middle class players who benefit from max contracts. Cleveland would legitimately owe 75% of their cap space to lebron

7/5/2016 7:21:23 PM
On one hand it will be interesting to see just how dominant this team can be. But yeah this really takes away from the playoffs. It eliminates the warriors toughest opponent and it would take a miracle for cleveland to even put up a fight this year in the finals. On one hand I don't think they'll be too interested in shooting for 74 wins. But i don't think they'll be able to help getting 70+ unless they really face injuries. This is the best offensive team in history by far and its probably going to be the best defensive team in the league too. (Spurs can still compete there)I think they can go 16-0 in the playoffs if they are healthy
7/5/2016 11:57:40 PM
It isn't anything yet.
7/6/2016 12:04:13 AM
Yeah its the best offensive team ever if they are healthy
7/6/2016 12:41:05 AM
David West is a shell of his former shelf. I'd put Speights over West right now (are they keeping Speights?)
7/6/2016 7:29:09 AM
Now KD and Curry decide to join together trying to defeat their common opponent---Lebron.
7/6/2016 11:09:50 AM
Why didn't the hornets sign durant and lebron?
7/6/2016 11:54:13 AM
That bitch ray allen trying to become uncle splash
7/6/2016 8:56:17 PM
Wade goes back to hometown Chicago.
7/6/2016 11:34:37 PM
The Bulls have put together an interesting roster. Wade, Butler, Rondo, Robin Lopez, and Mirotic with McBuckets, Taj Gibson, and Denzell Valentine coming off the bench. That's a pretty solid first 8.
7/6/2016 11:39:29 PM
...for me to poop on.
7/6/2016 11:57:43 PM
He got motivated by Lebron.
7/7/2016 8:18:38 AM
Yeah, the Bulls just made a roster barely good enough to keep them from having a good draft pick.
7/7/2016 9:14:18 AM
Future Chicago Tribune headline:"Whose Team Is It, Wade's or Butler's? Rondo Says It's His."
7/7/2016 9:34:43 AM
So the theme of the next season is: revenge of the fallen (GSW+KD) towards the King
