Just buy them there.
2/23/2015 2:56:28 PM
Seriously, just get them at the door, or from the dude standing outside who doesn't want to see all the games in his packet. No way to predict seeding at this point, other than to know we aren't 1, 2, 3, or 4.
2/23/2015 3:11:23 PM
L'Ville loses two more (ND and UVA to end the season), UNC loses to us and Duke, Miami drops 1 game, Pack wins out = #4 seed
2/23/2015 3:27:23 PM
Unlikely, even if possible. Unlikely enough that I wouldn't spend the money to buy tickets for the #4 seed games. That's a heck of a lot of ifs and good teams losing games.
2/23/2015 3:29:57 PM
Sure it's a lot of ifs, but it's not that unreasonable and I was just showing a path to the 4 seed is still possible. It's not like I made some outrageous predictions, like BC or VT upsetting one of those top teams. L'ville is struggling right now and I'd say they will be underdogs in those last two games. UNC/Duke is a tossup and Miami still has Pitt and UNC on the schedule. The biggest reach out of all of the ifs is the Pack beating UNC and winning out.
2/23/2015 3:36:52 PM
2/23/2015 3:41:10 PM
So UNC and Clemson both beat us at home, yet we're going to go win both on the road and be the #4 seed? Oh yeah, that sounds reasonable. We'll be lucky to go 2-2 to end the season, and one of those W's won't be @UNC. We'll still end up having to win 1-2 at the ACCT to make the NCAA Tournament.

USA Today coming in hot with the NC State shit jinx.
2/23/2015 4:25:07 PM
Hahaha. If they can squeak into the tournament in a play in game, they're Elite Eight material for sure.

Supposedly practicing in the Smith Center tonight
2/23/2015 5:01:18 PM
Hopefully working on their four corners offense so we can pay tribute to Dean Smith too and give ESPN a reason to run 10 more Dean stories.
2/23/2015 7:26:45 PM
I heard that on the radio. I wonder why UNC would let us do that?

Texas lost, which is god for us. Pitt loss would also be good.
2/24/2015 10:03:33 PM
^ Pitt winning might also help us RPI-wise since we beat them. I could be wrong, but I don't think Pitt doing well down the stretch will threaten our chances.

Balls deep in that bubble
2/24/2015 10:20:43 PM
No bubble team will have the wins we have in our corner. Duke, road wins against Louisville and UNC. We just need to not shit the bed over our last 3 and we are golden

Just got some love from Seth Greenberg. Said he thought we would make 2nd weekend = Sweet 16
2/24/2015 11:15:51 PM
Syracuse beating ND did us no good. I would feel better with a higher ACC seed.
2/25/2015 3:10:43 AM
^ confused about why that matters. Won't each team just move up a spot if Cuse is ahead?
2/25/2015 7:22:54 AM
Yeah, not sure it hurts us either. It could end up helping us in tie break situations if Duke gets the #2 in the ACC, when they start considering best ACC win.
2/25/2015 7:58:12 AM
Lots of love in the national media today... meanwhile the local media is obsessed with whatever drivel the douches behind Statefansnation said

Lunardi has us as a 9 seed after last nighthas us playing xavier. If we win, he has us playing Kentucky in rd 3...lol[Edited on February 25, 2015 at 10:04 AM. Reason : gg]
2/25/2015 9:45:38 AM
eek saw that... it will change, but the thought of 8 or 9 in the kentucky region sucks
2/25/2015 11:20:19 AM
8/9 in the Gonzaga bracket wouldn't be bad. I would have a problem with Providence being a 7 seed. All of their top RPI wins are vs teams in the BE, except ND which they beat in Nov. They have some really bad losses including a 28 pt drubbing by Nova last night.
2/25/2015 11:29:26 AM
Without the automatic bid from winning the ACCT, we will have a minimum of 12 losses when the selection committee looks at us. That means we can probably only lose one of the next three games. With the wins we have, we should still be considered with 14 losses IMO but has a 14 loss team ever received an at large bid?
2/25/2015 1:03:45 PM
14 is the limit, I think. If we beat BC and Clemson, and lose to Cuse and our first round ACC game, that gets us to 19-13 at worst. which with our resume against the top 25 and top 50, SHOULD be ok, but if they look at how you finish, that would be pretty piss poor.with that said, we'll do something goofy like lose to BC and Clemson but beat Cuse
2/25/2015 1:09:40 PM
2/25/2015 1:19:14 PM
win out and we go into the tournament ranked sons
2/25/2015 1:55:43 PM
Winning at clemson is still a huge task.
2/25/2015 1:59:14 PM
lets just take care of business @BC and then figure it out
2/25/2015 2:00:13 PM
lol@ being ranked. here we go with boast boast boast again.http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/ncaa-tournament/history/atlargeinsight to the worst records to get into the tourney at large
2/25/2015 2:03:08 PM
Yo anybody break down what it'd take for us to somehow get the #4 ACC seed? Obviously a long shot...but fuck it. I'm all in
2/25/2015 7:55:31 PM
I didn't confirm it but I read somewhere that 1 more loss for Carolina, 2 more losses for Louisville and us winning out would get us the 4 seed. Probably other scenarios, but that isn't too far-fetched considering Carolina still has Duke and Louisville still has Notre Dame & UVA. State winning out is probably the biggest reach.
2/25/2015 7:59:05 PM
That's definitely doable. Like you said, us winning out may be the hardest of those 3 things
2/25/2015 8:10:50 PM
I'll feel better if we can win the BC game without too much drama. They aren't keeping out a .500 (in-conference) ACC team with the wins we have. They might keep out an under .500 ACC team though.
2/25/2015 8:13:14 PM
Lunardi has us as a 9 seed now. I'd much rather be a 10 seed and play a 2 in the second round instead of the 1 (right now would be kentucky).
2/25/2015 8:20:35 PM
put us in Gonzaga's region and I'm fine with us being a 9
2/25/2015 8:26:39 PM
Am I crazy to think that if we win out and go 1-1 or 2-1 in the ACCT we'd have a good shot at as high as a 7 seed...maybe even 6 if we make a run in the ACCT
2/25/2015 8:29:20 PM
it's possible depending on how many (or how badly) some teams currently in the 6-9 range fall, but what would probably be a bigger deal is which team(s) we would be beating in the ACCT. Say we get the #4 and beat a #5 Pitt then lose to a #1 UVA... probably not enough to bump us over an 8 or 9 in my opinion, but all depends on what else happens between now and then.oh and I think Miami would have to lose 1 more too for us to get the 4 seed since they have a tie-breaker over us, but I'm not sure if that would hold given a multi-team tie. will wait and see how this weekend shakes out before i get my hopes up.[Edited on February 25, 2015 at 8:36 PM.
