washington would look a lot better if they gave him more than one play to run. he isn't big enough to push people around, but he's got some legs if he can get an opening from the line or go off tackle]

Lost Peek for year, acl.
8/6/2012 10:03:34 PM
That doesn't change the fact that he pass blocks like a matador. Also Peek out for the year
8/6/2012 10:05:16 PM
that's why i said "better"
8/6/2012 10:10:42 PM
Funny...considering that Washington is our best blocking running back. Oh well...
8/6/2012 10:27:59 PM
Washington has started over Greene and Creecy specifically because of his ability to pass block. You TWW coaches never cease to amaze me.
8/6/2012 10:35:38 PM
here's to hoping it doesn't begin, for a change. last year wasn't all that bad for us, but the previous few -- geez
8/6/2012 10:38:17 PM
Last year wasn't all that bad?? Half our fucking d-line was out in the middle of the season. Our fullback was getting major burn as a defensive tackle. We barely got healthy by the end. Wtf are you blabbing about in this thread??[Edited on August 6, 2012 at 10:41 PM. Reason : .]
8/6/2012 10:41:05 PM
the peek injury was posted on the last page. why would you post in this thread without reading it?
8/6/2012 10:43:39 PM
you seem upset jbrick. maybe it was worse than i remember.
8/6/2012 11:23:54 PM
No jbrick is being melodramatic. We were definitely on the lucky side with injuries last year. (for once)Well shit we did lose Greene before the season even started. And our D Line was hit or miss with injuries all year. We WERE fortunate last year that our injuries did occur at our deepest position.]
8/6/2012 11:53:13 PM
oh lawd... I just knew this was going to be Tdubhttp://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/164885-ncsu-message-board.html
8/7/2012 1:07:17 AM
i can't even be mad at that.
8/7/2012 2:17:05 AM
Every year is bad for injuries under TOB. He usually injures half the team in camp and the other half during the season. If its bad again this year there won't be anyone left to defend him and his conditioning program. At some point its not just bad luck. (Not saying one injury already isn't normal, just saying he needs to make major strides in this department obviously from years past)
8/7/2012 7:45:09 AM
Reminds me of the San Diego State message boards before their game. Hope it turns out the same way.
8/7/2012 8:09:52 AM
^^^^One of the posts that they quote from the packinsider board seems to be a troll/plant. No self-respecting State fan would use "NCSt"
8/7/2012 8:19:52 AM
8/7/2012 9:15:53 AM
i stand corrected, sorry guys.
8/7/2012 11:05:32 AM
Woot. My tickets arrived today.
8/7/2012 11:20:53 AM
Great. So now, instead of retired jersey numbers, we have more House-Autry and Progress Energy ads. What a waste.
8/7/2012 1:59:21 PM
8/7/2012 2:08:58 PM
it's wrong to say that is the ONLY reason he has started over others. Surely his knowledge of the offense, his good receiving hands, speed, and his ability to avoid fumbles had something to do with it. Don't forget DEAN HAYNES started over Washingtonmaybe it's that Washington is the least worst at pass blocking
8/7/2012 2:37:41 PM
Yeah, I recall dean haynes starting because of his pass blocking and actually being able to run the ball.Anyone who has ever seen washington play would not say he can pass block. At all.
8/7/2012 2:45:40 PM
i was gonna say that i thought TOB made reference to it before, but maybe not
8/7/2012 2:47:55 PM
Tickets arrived. Section 134 row 9. Wish we were a few more rows up, but I guess I'll live.
8/7/2012 2:51:26 PM
Sounds like pretty good seats to me. Certainly better than my section.

Who is Ryan Tice?
8/8/2012 9:59:54 AM
Mustafa? Penn State Transfer? something cool I don't even know about yet?
8/8/2012 10:03:09 AM
He writes for The Wolfpacker. It'd be someone who wasn't playing due to grades b/c the 2nd summer session grades hit yesterday. Hopefully it's Moose.
8/8/2012 10:04:08 AM
Rodney Purvis?
8/8/2012 10:04:38 AM
Is that "out" as in "out on the field" or as in "knocked out of practice due to injury"?
8/8/2012 10:16:12 AM
Out on the field, one would assume.
8/8/2012 10:20:49 AM
that would make sense, just checking

Tennessee QB Tyler Bray charged on 3 misdemeanor accounts of reckless boating. Possible penalties include $2500 fine and 6 months in jail*http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/165010-tyler-bray-reckless-boating-charge.html[Edited on August 8, 2012 at 11:10 AM. Reason : *Haven't actually seen the possible penalties stated. Just something an LSU fan in my office saw]
8/8/2012 11:03:52 AM
Sounds like he was given a ticket for "hot dogging" which sounds a little bit stupid, but coupled with his citation for throwing bottles off his balcony at cars/people it would get him a suspension @ most schools, just not most SEC schools.

Bray is trying to catch up with Stephen Garcia for the most criminal charges by an SEC QB.[Edited on August 8, 2012 at 11:39 AM. Reason : df]
8/8/2012 11:38:30 AM
Even if nothing happens to the guy, it's still funny to read the comments on that Vols message board:
8/8/2012 11:39:54 AM
Haha yeah he's so "thug" on a jet ski.
8/8/2012 11:40:06 AM
Anyone think he'll miss the first game if the charges stick? I doubt he'll see jail time but since he did this right in front of an officer, I absolutely believe he will be convicted of something.
