Some of these trades aren't even worth posting. Why would you trade Calvin Johnson for Clinton Portis and downgrade your TEs?Silly.

A guy in my league has put Vincent Jackson and Greg Jennings on the block, says he needs RB.I really like both these guys and want to go after Jackson. We start 2 RB, 2 WR, and a flex. At the moment I have the following:RB: Willis McGahee, Cedric Benson, Darren McFadden, and the 3 Browns (Lewis, Harrison, Davis)WR: Jerricho Cotchery, Roddy White, Donald DriverIdeally I'd like to offer him McGahee and Driver (2 overachievers in my mind) for both Jackson and Jennings. I assume he'd reject that offer, so I'd come back with McGahee for Jackson. Here are my questions though:1) What are people's views on McGahee and Driver? Obviously they are probably playing at least a bit above their heads, but how much?2) Even if I walk away from this trade a winner, it still puts me in a bit of a crappy spot at RB. I'd then be having to start McFadden, who hasn't shown anything this year. Would it be worth the trade?3) Would it be a bad trade if I ended up trading both Driver and McGahee for either Jackson or Jennings?[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 3:10 PM. Reason : a]

Keep willis and Cedric benson....both will finish the season as top 15 RBs.I love Vincent Jackson this year, but it's not worth it unless you can trade away your non-starters. You don't have anyone at RB that can start besides those two, as I consider McFadden a RB3/Flex usually....maybe a RB2....and you can pretty much get rid of the Browns squad...no clue why you'd have 3 browns RBs on one team. Even if one emerges.....it's the fucking Browns.Maybe get rid of Driver and McFadden for Vincent, or some shit like that...if you can pull it off. But you'll be hurting if you get rid of Ced or Willis.

Welker could reportedly be shut down for the season.
10/1/2009 7:08:12 PM
reported by who?
10/1/2009 7:28:23 PM
^^ source on that?According to Jerry Jones Marion Barber should play on Sunday.
10/1/2009 7:35:10 PM
due to injuries and bye weeks I need to decide between:Pierre Garcon (Sea)or Johnny Knox (Det)for my flex position. Non-PPR Yahoo standard scoring league.
10/1/2009 8:04:37 PM
garcon. peyton is #2 qb in NFL, so garcon has good value.thats why i am afraid of dropping anthony gonz. my nightmare scenario is i drop him, someone gets him, he takes the job back and has very good games in fantasy playoffs.I dont have a TE this week. lesean mccoy and a.gonz are my most droppable players. 14 team league, so i dont want to drop good guys out there.
10/1/2009 8:12:50 PM
^^ pretty even choice there. Knox could have a great game against a terrible DET defense. Cutler should be able to open it up and Knox could get alot of looks. Manning has more weapons against SEA so garcon may see limited touches (and SEA defense is better at the pass than the run).
10/1/2009 8:31:17 PM

10/1/2009 9:09:36 PM
i need a replacement for frank gore for the next few weeks.i have beanie wells (Ari) and larry johnson (kc) on my bench currently.available in my league are Carnell Williams (TB), Knowshon Moreno (Den), Derrick Ward (TB), Heath Evans (NO), and Le'Ron McClain (Bal).who would you use?
10/1/2009 9:58:14 PM
so i have gore and i've gotten some ridiculous trade offers for him (like steve slaton straight up)... i'm not too worried about it b/c i have some decent backups (and coffee) but in your leagues has anybody traded gore for anything worthwhile?
10/1/2009 10:13:02 PM
^^Knowshon, hands down.
10/1/2009 10:21:01 PM
What do you think about his trade: give LT and get Steve Smith (panthers)RBs: donald brown, choice, marshawn, mccoy, LTWRs: garcon, burleson, a.gonz, roddy whitecan only start 2 of each. I figure I can rotate backs based on situation and get a good result every week.[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 10:26 PM. Reason : also ppr]
10/1/2009 10:24:10 PM
That's tough becuase all of those backs split time. But you need WR help. I'm not sure.pick threeMJDRyan GrantPierre ThomasMarshwn Lynch
10/1/2009 10:39:09 PM
^^ Definitely a good trade for PPR. Especially with LT being injury prone and Steve Smith as the #1 WR.^ MJD, Thomas, Grant. Dont expect Lynch to play often as its his first game back and the MIA Def is very good against the run. [Edited on October 1, 2009 at 10:44 PM. Reason : a]

10/2/2009 9:16:04 AM
The question I will be asking myself every week till I trade one of these two:Matt Schaub vs OaklandTom Brady vs BaltimoreAlso, if anyone wants to chime in:Pick 3Steve Smith (NYG) @ KCMarques Colston v NYJChad Ochocinco @ CleMike Sims-Walker v TenPick 2Knowshon Moreno v DalGlen Coffee v StLWillie Parker v SDDonald Brown v SeaAnd pick 1 out of those for my flex
10/2/2009 9:30:37 AM
I like the Schaub matchup better than Brady this week. BAL has a very similar defense to the Jets and they shut him down and Welker is most likely out. Pick 3: Colsten, Ocho, Sims-WalkerPick 2: Coffee and Brown. I dont think Parker is going to be very effective with the turf toe (also didnt practice Thurs). Flex: Steve Smith[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 9:55 AM. Reason : a]
10/2/2009 9:53:32 AM
i picked up cincy's defense, so would you guys play them against the brownies, or denver against dallas
10/2/2009 9:56:08 AM
Cincy vs ClevelandCoffee, McFadden or Jackson for my 2nd RB spot in a PPR league ?Santana, Roy Williams, Brandon Marshall, or a leftover RB for the flex in that league ?[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 10:15 AM. Reason : x]
10/2/2009 10:09:45 AM
i really like cincy this weekend.
10/2/2009 10:10:33 AM
Cincy. I'm telling you guys that Denver's D is a trap. They are pretty good, but they ARE NOT the #1 defense in football. Don't treat them as such.Cleveland has not scored double digit points all year....and Cincy's D looked pretty stout against Pitt last week.I'm starting Cincy for my bye week. Also, i see people sleeping on Pierre Thomas this week. He's back and apparently healthy, and despite the tricky matchup is a good play this week. Mike Bell is out, and Bush is no longer a threat to his carries. And did you watch him run all over the place last week....in one half? The Jets D is scary good, but it's not like they can load the box or anything.Schaub vs. Oak is an easy choice over Brady this week.[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 10:13 AM. Reason : ]
10/2/2009 10:12:40 AM
Devery Henderson or Jericho Cotchery? They are playing each other, and I am leaning towards Cotchery because of the Jets strong pass defense.
10/2/2009 10:18:06 AM
^ Cotchery because the Jets will have to play from behind, which means alot of passes.
10/2/2009 10:30:04 AM
Now that I think about it, I could drop someone else instead, pick 3Devery Henderson (NO) NYJSantonio Holmes (PIT) SDChad Ochocinco (CIN) @ CLEJerricho Cotchery (NYJ) @ NOAlso, I really hope Marion Barber plays, this week was awful for my RB, 2 out of 4 had byes, and the other 2 are questionable/probable for week 4...
10/2/2009 10:54:11 AM
OK, I was offered a trade today.I'd give up Vincent Jackson.I'd get Fred Jackson & Carson Palmer. My team (core positions):QB: FlaccoRB: Jacobs, Parker, Tomlinson, C. Williams, and C. TaylorWR: S. Moss, Ward, Royal, Holt, D. MasonI don't really want to get rid of Jackson, and I'd rather get rid of Moss personally, but what do you all think? Deal or no deal?
10/2/2009 12:14:16 PM
I wouldn't. We still don't know what Fred Jacksons role will be with Lynch back. And you don't really need Palmer much.
10/2/2009 12:15:19 PM
LT coming back against PITorTarshard Choice against DEN

^Taster's Choice vs. the BroncosThe guy wanting to trade with me has Colston. Should I just trade for him straight up for Jackson?[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 12:23 PM. Reason : guess?]
10/2/2009 12:22:36 PM
i would never give up Vincent Jackson for those twoJackson is PRIV's #1 guy[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 12:25 PM. Reason : Flacco is getting better every week]

10/2/2009 12:29:47 PM
damn straight
10/2/2009 12:34:26 PM
Vincent Jackson at this point is a DO NOT TRADE. He's going to be a top 10 reciever this year for sure, maybe even top 5....he's been a sleeping giant and is finally waking up and you want to trade him? When looking at a trade, figure out why the person wants to trade. For example, in the above case he's trading Fred Jackson because he was awesome, but Lynch is coming, which means a committee. Everyone should be trying to trade Fred Jackson and selling high. So this guy is also trying to buy Vincent Jackson lowish....not many people talk about V. Jack but he's the #2 WR right now and shows no signs of slowing down. IMO he's the #1 WR so far, based on his consistency. Guys like that win you championships....Oh, and final trade advice....if a guy has to give you two lower quality players to get your higher quality player...don't do it....in general. You want that elite talent and don't want to dilute your roster. [Edited on October 2, 2009 at 1:29 PM. Reason : ]

just proposed fred for vincent. lets hope the guy is a moron
