I heard it's pot. He's a terrible player anyway. That'll just free up another scholarship.

if i had money, i'd buy a subscription to IC's premium board just for the laughs.

packpride has grown men who would put gravis' balls in their mouth if he asked, but i'm pretty sure IC is worse.

You can't really ask for sound judgement from men who judge other men to be attractive.

and Thabeet is has a huge wing span for the defensive side .... something like 7'4" right

that dude is long (if this is the same guy im thinking of)

Thabeet is 7'3" in height I know that. He is the tallest player to ever play at UConn. He's also had 10 blocks 3 times in his career, once as a freshman, once as a sophmore, and once more this year against Providence. 10 blocks in a game is a school record that Thabeet shares. I'm sure NyM410 might have a good idea as to who else from UConn had 10 blocks in one game.

Okafor I'm sure, though Donyell Marshall had some 8 or 9 block games too.

^^ Actually, if you believe ESPN, they were talking about Jeff Adrien who had the 7'4" wingspan which is nuts for a guy who on a good day is 6'6". That's maybe why he is such a good interior defender despite being so undersized. That and the fact that guys probably shriek when they see his shoulders.

I think standing reach and wingspan is much more important than height

no one blocks shots with the top of their head

Jason Williams, William Avery, Shane Battier, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy, Daniel Ewing, Dahntay Jones, Corey Maggette and Chris Duhon

2005 UConn
Josh Boone, Hilton Armstrong, Rudy Gay, Marcus Williams, Andrew Bynum, Charlie Villanueva, Emeka Okafor, AJ Price and Ben Gordon.

^,^^, They are too young.....ups and downs are going to happen.

They are probably the most raw talented team in the country or close to it.

goddamn, it's always something with you

they beat duke by 27 fucking points

we'd be throwing shit at each other at center court if we beat duke by 27. Portions of the RBC would be on fire if we beat duke by 27. We'd paint Benjamin fucking Duke's statue red if we beat duke by 27.

you rush the goddamned court if you fucking feel like it.

i dont have a problem with them calling a timeout. it's a lot classier than them going out and trying to do something stupid on the court with time winding down like, hmmm..the tarholes.

and its one of teh biggest wins in our history, so yes...we rush.

27 point win? Duke's biggest defeat in 19 years??????

RUSH.

i think you rush when you wanna rush. why do there have to be rules?

you know when you are up at home and the clock is winding down whether you're gonna rush or not. its a gut feeling...

just like when we were up against CP3 and WF with 30 seconds left. we were about to rush and burn the RBC center down...and then

UCONN, Oklahoma and UNC look to be the 3 best teams in the country right now

UNC is weird, because they have games where they look absolutely unbeatable (Mich St and Clemson) but then they have games where they look terrible (BC and FSU). I don't see them winning it all because they WILL face a team with great defense -- namely UConn or Louisville -- and if they can be slowed down they won't get enough stops to win the game. Losing Ginyard is more important in terms of NC chances than if they lost Danny Green or Wayne Ellington in my opinion...

Oklahoma I can't get a read on. They have beaten a lot of Top 50 teams, but I don't see any that really stand out. Griffin is great, but I just don't see that Oklahoma team competing in a conference like the Big East or ACC.

Clemson should get more publicity IMO. Ultimately, I don't think they will have a deep run in the tournament, but 4 loss Louisville gets lauded like a title contender and Clemson plays as aggressively. They certainly don't have the talent that Louisville has, but they also play more as a team and don't have players worrying more about their NBA draft stock (yeah, Earl Clark, I'm looking at you).

As of right now State is 2-5 and 12-8 overall

rest of season
@ VT - Loss
WAKE - Loss
@GT - Loss
@UNC - Loss
UVA - WIN
@WAKE - Loss
MARY - WIN
BC - WIN
@MIA - Loss

at best we get to 5-11 and 15-14 shouldn't we be looking for a new coach??

I honestly believe that Clemson can finish the rest of the season undefeated. And i think if we do that, I think we can take the ACC Regular Season Championship.

Here's the rest of the season:

2/07 FSU 7:00 PM
2/10 @ BC 9:00 PM
2/15 @ UVA 1:00 PM
2/17 MARY 7:30 PM
2/22 @ GT 1:00 PM
2/25 VT 7:30 PM
2/28 @ FSU 2:00 PM
3/03 UVA 7:00 PM
3/08 @ WFU 6:00 PM

UNC plays Duke two times, and Duke has 3 losses...

No, but if Costner leaves I don't see how we improve next year...

*** Also, I just noticed that UConn can get the Duke/UNC treatment. Their is a first/second round pod in Philly (80 miles from CT) and the East Regional is in Boston (45 miles from CT).
