im pretty wary of mcnabb this season
9/19/2007 10:19:25 PM
he plays some pretty crappy teams coming upthat and i think its a good buy low opportunity
9/19/2007 10:20:38 PM
for this page..Okay which of these 4 defenses should I start two of?Miami @ NYJTampa @ StlSeattle @ CincHouston @ Ind
9/19/2007 10:23:52 PM
MIAMI
9/19/2007 10:27:44 PM
QB this week: (pick 2)Grossman vs. DallasGarrard @ DenverPennington vs. Miami (also have Kellen Clemens in case he can't go)RB(pick 2 in case Westbrook can't go)Ronnie Brown @ NYJ(tired of starting him looking for decent numbers)Marshawn Lynch @ NE(another tough defense for the youngster)Ladell Betts vs. NYG(not getting the touches)DeShaun Foster @ AtlCedric Benson vs. Dallasleaning toward Grossman(although I hate seeing his name in my starting lineup) and Garrard... and Cedric Benson and Ronnie Brown[Edited on September 19, 2007 at 11:07 PM. 9/19/2007 11:05:01 PM
^^ Miami yeah, but keep in mind I need two defenses.. what should my second be?
9/19/2007 11:13:21 PM
mario williams is going to sack peyton 5 times, but reggie wayne is going to catch 6 TDs
9/19/2007 11:25:27 PM
Tampa
9/19/2007 11:26:19 PM
People are not liking their teams and dropping various players...who should I pick up?Kevin Jones, Chester Taylor, Brandon Jackson, Kevin Curtis, David Garrard, I'm leaning toward K Jones for depth. Also is Dominic Rhodes worth picking up? He is coming off suspension soon but L Jordan has been running pretty well, so I am not sure if he is going to play much at all since he will most likely be out of shape and not familiar to the offense yet.1 more WR question though, Andre Johnson is hurt. Do I pick up J Jones for either GB or Hou? Or do I start A Gonzalez with my 3 wr set of S Holmes and Roy Williams? [Edited on September 20, 2007 at 8:38 AM. Reason : add wr question]
9/20/2007 8:34:29 AM
Pick two:Rudi Johnson @ SEAWillie Parker vs. SFLamont Jordan vs. CLE
9/20/2007 8:51:41 AM
^Willie is a must start every week with the way they are riding him.And I really like Rudi, but Lamont has a great match-up and I think Cleveland will hone in on stopping the pass after last week's debacle. So I say go with Lamont.
9/20/2007 8:55:00 AM
^^^with those guys on your WW, I would go with the high upside possibilities...so I would go with KJ or C.Taylor. Tatum Bell is already falling out of favor with Mike Martz it seems like, and Adrian Peterson is injury-prone.I would start Jacoby over Gonzalez this week, with Andre out.^^That is a really tough call..they are all sort of in "must start" situations..I'd goPPR: Rudi and Jordanno PPR: Rudi and Parker[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 9:01 AM. 9/20/2007 9:00:47 AM
how come everybody thinks a couple unproven Texans receivers are going to be solid fantasy starts against the Colts' defense?
9/20/2007 9:10:08 AM
^Would you really start A. Gonzalez over him? He hasn't done anything this year. Schaub has improved the Texans offense immensely, and someone has to catch his throws. He is unproven, but the kid is exciting, and the other WRs for Houston have proven to be WR3's (real NFL) at best. Don't get me wrong, I think Jacoby is just a WR3 (12-team fantasy league) at best, and that's with Andre out..but he is a better start than A-gon.[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 9:17 AM. Reason : d]
9/20/2007 9:17:13 AM
I just wouldnt pick him up...I mean Andre goes out and this guy gets a lot of adds...why? He has 2 catches for 33 yards and he's a rookie...thats just my opinion
9/20/2007 9:23:09 AM
^x5Willie and Lamont. Good match up and Great match up from RB's that have had 2 100+ games.
9/20/2007 9:27:58 AM
^OK, I'm going to start Willie and Lamont because I have Rudi in another league that I can start. I figure it's one of those win-win situations no matter what b/c SF (T-16th), SEA (T-16th), and CLE (29th) have had some or a lot of difficulty stopping the run.Plus, PIT & OAK are playing at home, so I figured those two would play well. I know it's kind of crazy considering how CIN scored 40+ last week, but I figured if they did it again, it would be through Carson's arm (even though Rudi had a receiving TD last week).
9/20/2007 10:11:33 AM
Here is a new question. Donald Driver against SD or Donte Stallworth against Buffalo? I am gonna kick my own ass if Stallworth has a big game (after two games where he was non existent) against a buffalo team that is not good. Meanwhile green bay is playing against a tough san diego defense that is gonna be pissed after they got embarrassed by new england.
9/20/2007 10:11:38 AM
Why in God's name would you play Stallworth over Driver? This is going to be like last week where the Pats throw for the first half (at most) then just run Maroney and Sammy Morris into the ground. The Packers will have to throw to stay in it, and its televised locally here.Start Driver and Watch the game!
9/20/2007 10:17:10 AM
^^I don't think I would bench a guy with 14 receptions for a guy with 3, regardless of the matchup[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 10:20 AM. Reason : ^what he said]
9/20/2007 10:19:52 AM
I know I know. I got it in my head that Stallworth is gonna be this super sleeper* when I picked him up off waivers before the season. So now every halfway decent chance I get where he might blow up, I want to throw him in there. Also with Johnson sitting out this week, I am gonna need more points from the other WRs I have on board.*for my league where people dont know shit.[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 10:22 AM. 9/20/2007 10:21:36 AM
If Buckhalter gets the start Sun v. Det, he's gotta be startable over Marshawn Lynch v NE......right?
9/20/2007 11:34:29 AM
^ I would say Yes, because Buffalo will probably be down early and by a lot. But this might be a Sunday morning decision.Pick 1:Delhomme vs. AtlYoung vs. NOI would go with Delhomme but after seeing whats been done to David over the first couple of weeks I am tempted to start Young, especially since no one on Carolina can catch a pass but Smitty.[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 11:41 AM. Reason : ...]
9/20/2007 11:40:15 AM
Jake's been great so far, I'd stick with him until he shows otherwise, or use him as trade bait while he's high....he and Smitty have the 2005 look about them again this year.
9/20/2007 11:49:01 AM
Jones-Drew vs. DenverorJamal Lewis vs. Oakland?I have Lewis in right now until JD does SOMETHING
9/20/2007 12:04:55 PM
Shockey vs. WAS or Witten vs. CHI?I was leaning towards Witten.
9/20/2007 12:10:59 PM
^^I have that problem too, I am also going with Lewis :/^I'd go with Shockey, the Bears are good at shutting down TE's not named Antonioby the way, am I retarded, or does this story being on an NFL team's site crack anyone else up?http://houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=3655"Humanosaurus" "Anthony Weaver mini-helmet" and "TORO's ballers" (Toro is the mascot)[Edited on September 20, 2007 at 1:29 PM. Reason : idk]
9/20/2007 1:26:19 PM
Anybody heard anything about Westbrook's MRI? I have him on one team and traded him away on another but just so happens that I am playing against him. So I am torn either way.Is Buckhalter worth picking up?
9/20/2007 3:03:23 PM
^
9/20/2007 3:54:54 PM
According to the NFL network on Sirius they said he missed practice today. But I think he will play even if he misses practice. I think it's just precautionary if anything. I guess all you can do is wait and make a gametime decision.
9/20/2007 4:18:28 PM
if yall needed anymore reason to cut stallworth, he's been limited in practice this week because of a bum knee
9/20/2007 4:57:48 PM
Who should I play as my WR3 this weekend (we do get points for return yards/TDs)Darrell Jackson @ PittsburghDevin Hester vs. Dallas (who said they will kick away from Hester)Ted Ginn Jr. @ NYJor should I pick up James Jones (vs. Chargers) or Joe Jurevicius (@ Oakland) from waivers?I have Javon Walker and Deion Branch as my other 2 starters at WR
9/20/2007 5:23:58 PM
My first choice would be D-Jackalthough your other two WRs also return and you do get return points, I have a feeling the 9ers are going to be playing from behind all game and therefore having to throw
9/20/2007 5:27:31 PM
i proposed drew brees and ron curry for marvin harrisonmy back up QB's are delhomme and favremy receivers are housh, berrian, and javon walker.think she'll bite?
9/20/2007 6:12:00 PM
^ depends on who she has at QB already.Does anyone know if Deshawn Wynn (or whatever his name is) is starting for GB this weekend at RB? I picked him up hoping that the Pack will stay with him over Jackson this season.
9/20/2007 6:15:11 PM
she's got Garrard at QB, with no backup.
9/20/2007 6:20:10 PM
I have to pick 2 between these since Andre Johnson, my stud so far, is out:Santonio Holmes at SFJerry Porter at CleJacoby Jones at IndBobby Engram at CinLeaning towards Holmes and Engram....not that great of a starting duo but all I have to choose from.
9/20/2007 6:22:08 PM
Vince Young or the risk pick Josh McCownbothing playing suspect D
9/20/2007 6:37:36 PM
Wynn should have a majority of the carries, and he's the red zone threat.i'd pick holmes and porterMcCown should have a big week
9/20/2007 6:40:01 PM
I would give McCown a look playing Cleveland...they make any QB look good.Anyone think Derek Anderson keeps it up against Oakland this week? Also Witten against the Bears or Winslow against the Raiders?
9/20/2007 6:42:56 PM
At this point I'd wait for Stallworth to prove himself. Brady isn't even hardly looking his way and he's by far a distant 3rd/4th option behind Moss and Welker. I'd bench his ass until he begins to produce...I had Stallworth a few years ago and he did seem produce around midseason so it might pay off to be patient, although I dumped his ass b/c someone in my league dropped Braylon Edwards, who I was able to pick up.
9/20/2007 10:19:44 PM
I'm also in the Andre Johnson injury boat, and my crappy choices are as follows (14 team league so it is carl slim pickings):Northcutt @ DenDemetrius Williams vs ArizonaBuster Davis (SD) @ GB
9/20/2007 10:30:43 PM
^ If it's only those three, I'd play Williams as the other two defenses are good against the pass.
9/20/2007 11:57:17 PM
OKRonnie Brown @ JetsChris Brown @ Saints
9/21/2007 12:02:59 AM
I have Willie Parker in one running back slot, but I have one of 3 guys to play in the other. They are: Tatum Bell @ PHIClinton Portis vs. NYGWarrick Dunn vs. CARWho is looking like the best pick? I'm leaning towards Portis right now due to the Giants having the weaker Defense and allowing more points than the other defenses.I also have Duece McAllister, but he has been pretty unproductive so far this year (yeah I know, only two weeks). I plan on keeping him on my roster for now.
9/21/2007 6:22:03 AM
^^Ronnie^Portis
9/21/2007 7:41:37 AM
I would definitely start Clinton Portis.[Edited on September 21, 2007 at 10:05 AM. Reason : ]

Vikings DSt VS. ChiefsSteelers VS. 49er'sI know the Chiefs have been AWFUl, but I feel like its about time that LJ has a big game.. he is not gonna go all year getting the kind of stats he has been getting. Just a hunch that he is due for a big game.Steelers VS. 49er's, all they have is Gore, and I feel like they are the more proven defense. What do yall think?
9/21/2007 11:18:39 AM
steelers
9/21/2007 11:28:44 AM
I agree, Steelers are at home too and the Niners have to travel far and have no offense besides Gore.
