saw a dude janking a ron paul sign on 440 outer, between exits 6/7 and 5[Edited on January 7, 2008 at 8:46 AM. Reason : yesterday afternoon Ø]

^ janking? Two news items.First, Paul will be on Jay Leno tonight. Second, funny note on one supporter at a campaign stop:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUXKddQvC1oRon Paul supporters mobbing Sean Hannitylol... strange
1/7/2008 11:53:48 PM
^Wow.. I sure bet that made Hannity feel better about Ron Paul. Now for this video, Dr. Paul has not dyed his hair brown and had plastic sugery to make himself look younger. It's just him being interviewed in 1988 ...offering the same opinions as he offers today. Rather refreshing for a politician if you ask me.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbrCRUpDRkA&feature=related[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 12:43 AM. Reason : .]

if it was anybody but sean hannity i'd think man that's terrible
1/8/2008 12:41:16 AM
I think it's ironic... all the years of democrat bashing by Fox and it's republicans that run them down and hassle them.^^ That's not necessarily a good thing. It could indicate that he dogmatically sticks to ideas, regardless of changing circumstances of evidence.Although after viewing the video, he doesn't really espouse any principles that aren't really timeless.[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 1:17 AM. I like this idea of pro wrestler and action fighter supports for candidates. In the future we could replace the primary system with a fight between representatives for the candidates. I see Ron Paul taking Huckabee in the first round.
1/8/2008 1:27:17 AM
stunning speech.[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 1:51 AM. Reason : too bad Ron Paul cannot even approach this level of delivery ]
1/8/2008 1:47:51 AM
^Great stuff there. Can't wait for the day another great communicator arrives on the scene to spread the message of liberty and small gov't.
1/8/2008 2:07:26 AM
Hang tight, America. I'll be able to retire from the Marine Corps in 2024.
1/8/2008 2:09:58 AM
It's almost comical that every presidency seems to have the same complaints about taxes, spending, and debt, and yet nothing seems to change, even though the parties complaining about it switch sides.
1/8/2008 2:11:13 AM
It's not that comical, though.Wonder where we'd be if things had gone the other way in '64...
1/8/2008 2:15:55 AM
1/8/2008 2:23:45 AM
i can think of several potential points you could be trying to get at, but I'm not sure which one it is.
1/8/2008 2:37:33 AM
I think he's going for all of them, simultaneously.

Our economy NEEDS Paul
1/8/2008 9:15:44 PM
what is so bad about the federal reserve...i guess i dont know enough about it to hate it
1/8/2008 9:48:45 PM
that's when you should hate it the most
1/8/2008 9:51:02 PM
i'm surprised this is ending the way it is
1/8/2008 9:56:31 PM
^^^ his arguments against it are due to his being a libertarian and Constitutionalist.1. the Fed is a means of the gov't influencing the free market2. there is no explicit provision for such a system in the Constitutioni don't disagree with it, but that's the argument against it
1/8/2008 10:07:09 PM
ok so the federal reserve is where they keep all the gold that backs up the money right?if so, where does that gold go if they got rid of the reserve[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:27 PM. Reason : .]
1/8/2008 10:27:27 PM
no...fort knox is where they keep the goldbut gold doesn't back up the money anymorethe Fed basically is the master lending agency, and therefore sets interest rates for money being borrowed
1/8/2008 10:31:07 PM
If money has to be borrowed for it to be created then how is the US going to ever pay back the interest on the debt?
1/8/2008 10:35:59 PM
its like the bank of all banks?so where does that money come from?[Edited on January 8, 2008 at 10:36 PM. Reason : i thought there was some rule on how gold had to back up our money or something^^]
1/8/2008 10:36:09 PM
Pshh, gold standard. I wish.
1/8/2008 10:36:11 PM
Look the federal reserve idea isn't going to be feasible. My comment is based more on his other positions.
1/8/2008 10:38:12 PM
where does the money come from? THIN FUCKING AIR. and that's what is bad about it, cause the gument can just say "make us some more" and that makes our money worth less
1/9/2008 6:35:43 AM
Anybody catch the Daily Show yesterday where the guest said Paul wasn't a nice person, had a sketchy history? Anyone know what that was about?
1/9/2008 10:57:57 PM
It wasn't David Frum saying that perchance, was he? Famous neo-conservative and adviser to Rudy Guiliani? (Because was on the show not too long ago, and he had unkind words about Ron Paul - but I don't know if it was the same episode you saw.)
1/9/2008 11:07:02 PM
New episode yesterday. Yeah, he said he was a Rudy advisor.
1/10/2008 12:44:28 AM
That would be almost certainly Frum, then. The guy's a world-class dick.
1/10/2008 3:29:40 AM
yeah he was an idiot. iirc, he basically said paul was a radical nutjob with completely stupid ideas, and people "turn to stupid ideas like that in desperate times like this" or something to that effect.i completely stopped taking him seriously when i heard he advises 9/11-man.[Edited on January 10, 2008 at 4:33 AM. 1/10/2008 7:20:11 PM
I heard Faux News banned Ron Paul from their republican candidate debate. I guess Mr. Paul is a threat to the "status quo" for the current republican platform and the powers at be want to suppress his position from continuing its wild fire spread among the grassroots republican voters.
1/11/2008 11:00:23 AM
Discussing Ron Paul on the streets of New Hampshire....http://reason.tv/roughcut/show/226.htmlI'm so hopeful seeing the younger generation picking up the torch of limited gov't. If anything...Paul could be a stone tossed into the winding river of gov't..spreading ripples of liberty to all points. [Edited on January 11, 2008 at 11:20 AM. Holy crap - Ron Pwned, right there.
1/11/2008 1:17:31 PM
^^That really was a powerful response.
1/11/2008 1:30:04 PM
the crowd seemed to be really into it as well....and none of the other candidates could even think of anything to say for their usual interjections.
1/11/2008 1:41:56 PM
^^^ what pisses me of the most is the self righteous chuckle that those gay assed, big government, warhawk necons give when considering ron paul and his positions.
