I've missed you guys!!Nerdchick - You look great in that dress!Just got back from a cruise celebrating three years of marriage with my hubby. This is the dress I wore for formal night. Got it at a department store and had it majorly altered. I really like the colors.
9/21/2011 4:19:05 PM
beautiful! and the colors really are rockin'
9/21/2011 4:20:23 PM
k...can i borrow that
9/21/2011 4:38:31 PM
WOWZA!
9/21/2011 4:46:37 PM
jeepin, i would take the comforter to a dry cleanerthe dry cleaner i use does comforters for under $10 so it's really not that badplus you don't have to hang out in a laundromat while your shit is washing and drying
9/21/2011 10:48:24 PM
i took a comforter to get drycleaned without reading the tag and it came back weird smelling and discolored

Ugh I wish we had an Ikea closer to Raleigh. Having to drive to Charlotte just to look at some damn cabinets is annoying.
9/22/2011 10:43:18 AM
Well before that you had to drive to the DC area yes? This is a lot better
9/22/2011 11:17:37 AM
True but I didn't care about kitchen cabinets then You'd think with the amount of yuppies in this area we could easily support our own IKEA store.
9/22/2011 11:25:20 AM
I'm sure none of you care, but I'm officially boycotting this thread. at least the last 10 posts I've made have gotten absolutely zero response. So fuck you bitches, I no longer care how you're wasting your money.
9/22/2011 11:27:42 AM
Ikea kitchen cabinets sound like a horrible idea.Look at flat pack ones you can buy on the internet and assemble yourself. Same as Ikea, only probably higher quality and no driving.
9/22/2011 11:43:05 AM
^^You're rightI never see your postings...when pics are posted all around I just look for the photosI don't like readingPlus you haven't posted anything of substance lately eitherBoycott away....maybe we'll see you back in the future (but we probably won't notice that either)
9/22/2011 11:45:36 AM
They did it!!!! They went to 40% off! fuck you gap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9/22/2011 11:45:51 AM
lol you should have read that before you postedgo into the store...explain what happened...say you will return the item if they don't adjustthey don't wanna take the hit, so 10% off what you paid is a lot better for their bottom line
9/22/2011 11:59:10 AM
good idea. I dont know when the shipment will come, my luck will be that it comes and the promo is over

My cat managed to scratch both my brown and black everyday heels up last week ( ) so when I got an email from DSW I got sucked in. Ended up gettingand because I LOVE boots and don't have any gray ones. Both for under $80. Do y'all wear boots now on chilly days or wait till it's more on the winter side?[Edited on September 22, 2011 at 2:28 PM. Reason : madsmile]
9/22/2011 2:28:37 PM
I think I look dumb in boots so I never wear them
9/22/2011 2:49:46 PM
my calves are too muscular (no really they're not fat) to wear regular boots it makes me but those boots are so cute !
9/22/2011 2:51:37 PM
^^ are amazing. I wish 1. they were shorter 2. they were my size. I think tomorrow after work I am going to make a trip to the outlets by the mexican border and stop into nine west. you think they'll have some boots?
9/22/2011 4:48:35 PM
9/22/2011 4:51:32 PM
Jcrew sells extended calfso do other boot manufacturers (usually higher quality/higher price)
9/22/2011 5:04:02 PM
I have the opposite problem. I have slim calves that don't match my big feet. Any ideas for slim calved boots that zip?? (Overwise I can't fit my feet into them).

9/22/2011 5:27:32 PM
don't thank me yetthey're not cheap...but its the price you'll find anywhere you look for good leather boots...they just at least have your calf size and ship for free

So I know we have talked about health stuff in here before, and I'm not getting much response in the beach body thread...Does anyone have any experience with Crohn's disease? (Personal or with a friend/family member)

I've been thinking about my "professional wardrobe" - I pretty much workout for a living so I'm beginning to see the justification of $100 yoga pants and $40 tanks... they're like my business suits. so on a whim I went to the lululemon showroom off glenwood. I tried on some pants just to check my size and the length - with the intention of going home and buying them online for cheaper. but omg this one pair was so fabulous that I had to have them NOW. then when they rang me up, I got a discount because I teach yoga/pilates and then some other discount that they didn't mention and the final total was a little over $50 (the price tag said $78). later I looked them up on facebook (yeah I'm a dork) and today was the last day the showroom was open and they were discounting everything!!!!!! if I had known, I would've bought more!! they're opening a store in a different location at the end of october though. lulu butt:

I just put color in my hair by myself for the first time....I hope i don't regret this...
9/24/2011 8:25:15 PM
Self coloring is hard to mess up. Just don't go blonde.
9/24/2011 8:39:26 PM
I love Warby Parker!
9/25/2011 4:27:13 AM
Linda i feel like every time you post a picture you are getting thinneror maybe you are just always thin and I am made of cray cray
9/25/2011 6:07:09 AM
LuluLemon is the best! Tres $$$, but worth every penny.
9/25/2011 7:59:55 AM
^Why? What makes the price difference worth it over $15 target pants? I'm not being facetious, I'm truly curious, because I've heard that from a lot of people. But aren't all exercise pants made equal?
9/25/2011 8:36:30 AM
Ive heard lulu lasts FOREVER
9/25/2011 8:43:09 AM
Yeah in a similar fashion when I danced 4 times a week for 3+ hours (I'm talkin jazz & ballet folks) it was worth it to spend the extra $$ for better made dance attire and shoes. Otherwise I'd be spending more money in the long run for cheaper stuff bc they'd wear faster. Works the same way with clothes in general. Spend $15 for an in trend shirt at old navy, but spend $100 for a staple blazer or something you would wear and use often to get that extra mile just bc it's well made.Since this is her profession...totally justifiable. They also look really comfy and hot
9/25/2011 9:00:01 AM
Exactly. They're so durable that they're worth it in the long run. With cheapo target pants, the elastic goes quickly. So you replace them more often.
9/25/2011 9:39:27 AM
My family is from Vancouver (where Lululemon was founded) and many of them still have clothes from the stores's first 2-3 years. Now they aren't super hard on them, but I have Old Navy yoga pants who look crappy from a year ago... 8+ years and still going strong is impressive imo. With that said, I had no idea we had a store in Raleigh.

I want all of the Ralph Lauren dresses by the way. Some more than others! I'll have to post which ones when I get to a real computer and add them to my pinterest boards of course![Edited on September 25, 2011 at 10:07 AM. Reason : ]

9/25/2011 10:17:38 AM

9/25/2011 12:14:19 PM
How long are y'all competing? That is awesome. Mark and I should do something similar but i would be aiming to lose % body weight and he'd be aiming to gain PS - your ass looks fiiiiiiiiiiine in those pants. I really want to get some nice work out stuff but dang it's kind of expensive so I'll need to get like a couple of items a month and build up a good work out wardrobe that way. And Kate - I saw Linda a couple of weeks ago and if you think she looks super fit in that picture, you should have seen her in person. She looks great!
9/25/2011 12:24:22 PM
I may LOOK fit, but dang you kicked my butt running! and it's just for the month of October - the idea came because my halloween costume is pretty skimpy (think leotard) and I wanted to look good.
9/25/2011 12:44:59 PM
Please tell me you're reenacting Olivia Newton-John's "Let's Get Physical" I may kick your butt in running but you'd probably kick my butt in everything else.
