Don't worry nothing will happen to poor UNC and they will instead win the Coastal (weakest division possibly ever in sports) and claim they are back and a dominant program despite all the adversity. You know its gonna happen.

^^ NCAA releases statement that the "death penalty" is under consideration for Notre Dame, noting that academics are of the utmost importance for collegiate athletics.

You need a bachelor's degree to go to a class and see if some football and basketball players are there.

Any position that has any inside knowledge of the football team is going to be handpicked by Fedora/Folt/Cunningham/Kirshner. Any job posting is window dressing to meet whatever guidelines the state of NC puts forth. I'm surprised there's not a disclosure agreement when you enter Kenan stadium to not repeat anything you hear or see.

the NCSU attendance checker clearly says CURRENT NC STATE STUDENTS ONLY

the UNC attendance checker requires a bachelors degree.

That is only one out of five and she is semi-hot.

Plus more people are interested in seeing the Basketball team lose some National Championships since they have dated this back to the early 90's.

From ESPN's 5 things I learned article about college football:

Quote :
"4. It’s easy to understand why Notre Dame receiver DaVaris Daniels and cornerback KeiVarae Russell are becoming increasingly frustrated with the university’s investigation into possible academic misconduct.

The pair and three other Notre Dame players under suspicion for allegedly having others complete their schoolwork haven’t played a down this season.

But give Notre Dame’s administration credit for ensuring that academic honesty and integrity are still more important than winning football games, which isn’t as important on other campuses nowadays. North Carolina would have suffered a lot less embarrassment if it had been as cautious as Notre Dame."

Back on CNN!

http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/12/us/unc-academic-scandal-butch-davis/index.html

Quote :
"Former University of North Carolina head football coach Butch Davis believes he is being scapegoated by his former university as it deals with the largest academic fraud scandal in the history of college sports.

Davis, in an interview with CNN on Tuesday, said, "I can tell you with every fiber in me that I did not know about cheating."

His statements come after a caller identifying himself as Tydreke Powell, one of Davis' former players, told North Carolina radio station WJMH that "everyone" in the athletic department knew about so-called paper classes, and that Davis even told his players, "If you all came here for an education, you should have gone to Harvard.""

unc to hire gene chizik as DC, so we might as well get this thread back to the first page.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/12109040/former-auburn-tigers-coach-gene-chizik-accepts-job-north-carolina-tar-heels-defensive-coordinator.

i guess going through an ncaa investigation doesn't mean you avoid hiring controversial figures connected to prior ncaa violations.

LOL Gene Chizik. Dude won a national title on the back of Cam Newton and a ridiculous level of cheating. Plus Malzhan was the brains of that staff as evidenced by him turning that team into a near title winner last year after Chizik shit the bed post-Newton.

Great hire UNC. The only thing I can see this doing for them is giving them a "name" recruiter that knows the deep south well.
