Shane Ryan takes down a Shrike-type:Why Won't Clinton Democrats Like Sally Albright Stop Lying About Bernie Sanders?https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/01/why-wont-liberals-like-sally-albright-stop-lying-a.html

that dudes obsession with All Things Bernie has been a bit much for months now
1/17/2017 11:02:09 AM
i agree, but i thought this piece was pretty goodi had seen that tweet shared a bunch on facebook so i'm glad he did a take-down about it

yeah, i really think you should read it before embarrassing yourself

I'm equally baffled by people like Shrike who are somehow convinced Sanders cost Clinton the election (never mind he was a pretty passionate surrogate for her) as I am those who supported Sanders but then voted Trump in the general.[Edited on January 17, 2017 at 11:10 AM. Reason : Though I guess the Sanders/Trump people just want to watch DC burn]
1/17/2017 11:09:26 AM
are there really a significant number of the second group though? i'm not saying no one did that, but is it even a statistically significant amount? are they real?[Edited on January 17, 2017 at 11:12 AM. Reason : .]

Man, dtownral's obsession with me is making kdogg's thing with Hillary look downright rational. Also, I think Sander's cost Clinton the election now? You people really need a new hobby than making up positions to attribute to me.
1/17/2017 11:12:40 AM
you're like golielax but without the ability to think critically. his only problem was that he thought he was smarter than everyone and wouldn't hear another side of an argument, but at least he demonstrated the ability to form an independent argument. you've always just been talking points.
1/17/2017 11:14:39 AM
Says the guy who literally quoted an article full of talking points to attack me, of all people, with. Your lack of self awareness is mind boggling.
1/17/2017 11:17:10 AM
it's actually attacking this tweet:
1/17/2017 11:25:43 AM
You literally lead your post with making it about me. Carry on though, it's flattering if nothing else. For the record, I do believe that Bernie poisoning the well of millennials against Hillary is one of the many reasons she lost. [Edited on January 17, 2017 at 11:39 AM. Reason : .]

The Clinton Democrats lost the election. Not Sanders, not the Russians, not the Trump machine. Clinton Democrats did more to rile up the conservative base than Trump did on his own. It seems that insulting people only energizes them rather than discourages them. The never-Trump Republicans and those who just kind of liked Trump but didn't initially care enough to vote for him...I'd bet everything in my wallet if we were able to see polls on those kinds of people they'd say they ended up voting for Trump because of the absurdist pompous attitude of Clinton supporters. Not Clinton herself, just the people pushing hardest for her.

Socialists can't own vacation homes?
7/19/2017 8:17:01 AM
a septuagenarian bought a 1,800 square foot home in a vacation town they enjoyed after selling his wife's family's lake home in mainthe horror!

Bernie is still well off, but he's more grounded, financially, than most politicians, which was what he was trying to sell.It would be difficult to go to Washington poor and stay poor. That's an image you would have to want, and you would have to constantly maintain that image, what with all the money being thrown around up there.
7/19/2017 8:51:07 AM
i've seen a few "is this what bernie's socialism looks like?!" tweetsthe answer is yes, it is[Edited on July 19, 2017 at 11:39 AM. Reason : .]

There are 136 million housing units in the US and 126 million households. In a perfect social democracy, the excess 10 million homes could still be purchased, and would likely be purchased by members of the top 5% income which Bernie is a hard working member of. We have no problem with people who work hard and earn a high income spending their money. Despite what conservatives say, we are not against freedom.

When the medical bills and college loans come due, when the schools are failing because they can't afford to pay teachers what they deserve, when the roads are in terrible shape and there are no new advances in public transportation, people refuse to blame themselves for continuously voting for lower taxes.
7/20/2017 1:16:56 AM
when over half of tax dollars go to social programs of little to no benefit of actual taxpayers, it's hard not to vote for lower taxes.

Interesting to me that the NYT article about the Russian bots stated that a lot of the social media noise you heard about Bernie voters saying they'd rather have Trump was fake in large part and part of a propaganda campaign.I mistakenly fell for it and consider myself pretty internet savvy. Imagine those who aren't...
9/8/2017 8:41:07 AM
You're talking about Earl right?
9/8/2017 10:45:23 AM
So are you back to insinuating they rigged the election or not? because how else could Trump have won the rust belt without populist independents who were desperate for relief after 8 years of struggle?Bernie Sanders voters have gone on CNN panels talking about how they voted for Trump. It seemed like a clear path for those who wanted change first and foremost.[Edited on September 8, 2017 at 12:30 PM. Reason : its a question]
9/8/2017 12:01:23 PM
lol, okay
9/8/2017 12:26:21 PM
Bernie supporters wanted progressive change, not regressive like we're getting more and more every day.
9/8/2017 2:25:17 PM
9/8/2017 2:30:47 PM
After I learned how wrong I was, I saw some numbers about how more HRC '08 voters went McCain than Bernie voters went Trump. It's a fallacy. And I've never insinuated or said the general election was rigged in any way. Influenced by Russian propaganda, yes but people falling for fake information isn't rigging in the truest sense.

Christ, I hope Bernie destroys Lindsey Graham in this debate coming up. Like nothing left but a smoking crater behind Graham's podium.
9/22/2017 12:03:11 PM
I'm pretty afraid this debate is going to be heavy Bernie critique and light on Graham-Cassidy and will leave people less horrified than they should be about what's about to happen
9/22/2017 12:06:21 PM
There are definitely ways it could go poorly for Bernie, and I'm a little hesitant about the whole thing myself. I'm kinda worried that the audience will really eat up the "dats sochulism tho" attacks that you know are gonna be the entirety of Graham/Cassidy's arguments.[Edited on September 22, 2017 at 12:11 PM. Reason : And then media stupidly accepts that Americans don't want socialism]
9/22/2017 12:10:56 PM
^Most polls show that when Americans understand what socialism really is (higher taxes, bigger government), they dont support it.
9/22/2017 12:22:44 PM
That doesn't explain how "Medicare for all" is polling at nearly 50% approval while the Graham-Cassidy bill is polling at like 25% approval.
9/22/2017 12:39:09 PM
^^Is there a poll for people who understand that what Bernie is pushing for is not actual socialism?
9/22/2017 4:14:41 PM
There is a poll for everything. So i am sure. But lets be honest, it's a lot closer to socialism than it is to capitalism.
9/22/2017 4:23:31 PM
The choice to pay for your own doctor would still exist. Same as sending your kid to a private school instead of public school. It took many many years of fighting to create and sustain a public school system, and I guarantee the overwhelming majority of Americans support having it now. Health care is on that path.
9/22/2017 4:30:51 PM
^^ no.
9/22/2017 6:29:06 PM
public schools and roads are socialism. single payer is more like food stamps for all. the givernment doesnt take over the supermarket when they give people food stamps.
9/23/2017 5:31:45 AM
Why would any decent American believe that the federal government has a right to 100% of an individual's income and it is only by the goodness of its heart that it lets us keep a percentage of what we earn?
10/24/2017 10:23:22 PM
who believes that?
