Lebron doesn't need money. Pretty sure he made a ton of money when Beats was bought by Apple as he was a major investor.
6/24/2014 9:35:33 PM
There's still some difference. If he stays in Miami, the contract can be 96 M for 4 yrs. If he goes to another team, he may get 126 M for 5 yrs if I remember correctly.
6/24/2014 9:43:08 PM
^actually its the opposite. he makes more money by staying in miami.
6/24/2014 9:43:47 PM
Then why did he opt out?
6/24/2014 9:50:37 PM
I will be the first to put my money on staying in Miami first and then the Bulls as the top other team.
6/24/2014 9:52:00 PM
Bulls? Be a Jordan follower?
6/24/2014 9:53:42 PM
He opted out to keep his options open and probably get a raise. He can still only get a 5 year max contact from Miami. Everyone else can only offer 4 years. Miami is pressuring Bosh and Wade to opt out and settle for smaller contracts so that they can pay Lebron the max.
6/24/2014 10:04:03 PM
6/24/2014 10:05:51 PM
Yeah, I believe he opted out for melo.
6/24/2014 11:20:28 PM
lebron is opting out because:he wants to see if pat riley can bring in a solid power forward and push bosh to the 5 positionhe wants to see if pat riley can bring in a point guard who can actually start (norris cole is a SOLID ass backup)wade and bosh will opt out and take less money (as they should) to bring in more talent)seeing if the heat front office will make up for their mistake in thinking that bringing in oden and beasley would ever have ever made up for the failure that was amnestying mike miller after being an impact player in the 2013 finals.
6/25/2014 12:55:59 AM
Lebron only wants to play for a team with All Stars at the other 4 starting positions
6/25/2014 1:25:14 AM
Lebron knows that every year he doesn't win a title, his legacy loses a little luster. Dude is trying to get his team stacked as much as possible. Thats why he opted out. He doesn't need anymore money. Hes prolly making 100mil + per year in salary and endorsement deals, etc. Hes gonna sit around and see which team can make the best pitch that he can jump in on to win a championship. End of story.
6/25/2014 2:25:28 AM
6/25/2014 8:25:12 AM
lebron to the knicks
6/25/2014 9:40:56 AM
I will take my talent to...
6/25/2014 11:32:03 AM
I would say I would love to see Lebron try to take his talent to someplace like Milwaukee to bring them a title, but he already had to suffer through all those years in Cleveland so I will give him a pass.
6/25/2014 2:52:13 PM
he should just go to the d-league and rack up like 10 straight championships and average a quadruple double every year.
6/25/2014 6:45:29 PM
Or go to China like Marbury.
6/25/2014 8:11:38 PM
or North Korea like Rodman
6/25/2014 9:41:14 PM
or to bojangles like cjl
6/25/2014 10:35:05 PM
Or to jail like Sidney Lowe.
6/26/2014 3:45:58 AM
To run the zone read with Johnny football
6/26/2014 6:11:46 AM
I have a feeling there are going to be a ton of trades today/tonight. So many teams are jockeying for position in the draft and in the salary cap game.
6/26/2014 8:09:23 AM
both wade and udonis opted out most likely to take less salary (given this, guarantee bosh will also), looks like lebron will stay in miami (as expected).[Edited on June 28, 2014 at 3:54 PM. Reason : .]
6/28/2014 3:45:34 PM
Chalmers too.[Edited on June 28, 2014 at 3:55 PM. Reason : They are waiting for melo or someone similar.]
6/28/2014 3:54:45 PM
no team can ever be a complete team though. the fact that bosh got cocky on his 3 point shooting this year eliminated any low post presence miami had this past year. the spurs exploited the fuck out of that and got so many points in the paint. miami NEEDS someone to push bosh back into the 5 (even though he can't match up against most NBA centers) unless they recruit a legit center which probably was the whole failed greg oden project. i honestly hope if they don't recruit a new power forward they put birdman into the rotation to make bosh play center again.[Edited on June 28, 2014 at 4:00 PM. Reason : WTB a legit rebounder though]
6/28/2014 3:58:56 PM
I don't see how they can get Melo there. Correct me if I Wrong but wade and bosh will have to take at minimum a 50% pay cut each just to free up room for melo assuming Carmelo is gonna want max salary. They will have to take even more to free up room to bring in better talent as well unless they think just adding melo is gonna work. Also I don't forsee James and Melo wanting to share the spotlight I don't think it will work as far as chemistry goes.[Edited on June 28, 2014 at 4:54 PM. Reason : .]
6/28/2014 4:52:56 PM
I think Melo will make sacrifice the most for the team. B/c he hasn't got a ring yet. And each of the big 3 has 2 already. Melo needs to minimize his ego for the team.I'm not worried about the so-called chemistry b/c these guys worked pretty well together in the national team.If Melo comes, it could be big 4+ Napier. They will be just like Lakers of 04? (Oneal/kobe/Malone/payton)
6/28/2014 5:17:15 PM
As a heat fan, i dont want melo. The ideal superstar in a trade would be kevin love but that wont happen. Considering the big 3 and salary we cant sustain a rockstar big man.Although if i could dream, noah or hibbert would make the heat a legacy program but like i said, pipe dream only
6/28/2014 6:00:48 PM
6/28/2014 6:03:23 PM
please, tell me more about this "legacy program"and Lebron and Carmelo sure looked good together on Team USAZach Lowe brought it up recently, and I agree, the absolute scariest thing the Heat could do is find a way to get Marc Gasol
6/28/2014 6:16:19 PM
Miami try to build a legacy as Lakers and Celtics. Pat Riley is the man behind all of these.Miami has potential to become a new LA of the east coast.
6/28/2014 6:21:28 PM
Bosh for Lowry also getting a lot of run and would make a ton of sense
6/28/2014 6:37:54 PM
Kyle Lowry? He's a PG. Bosh is a C/PF. It doesn't make sense to me.
6/28/2014 7:15:16 PM
6/28/2014 8:05:10 PM
Rumor says Jeremy Lin will be sent back to Golden State soon. It's possible, as Asik is gone already...
6/28/2014 8:18:15 PM
i still think the spurs stole their bid to the finals this past season. the clippers and OKC both looked prime to take that spot and honestly, if ibaka hadn't gotten injured, it MOST DEFINITELY would have been OKC-Heat 2.0
6/28/2014 8:27:46 PM
6/28/2014 8:32:21 PM
^^ Whose bid?^ idk But at least they can go to final again.
6/28/2014 8:47:24 PM
Wade and Bosh opting out (and Hasslem), no way LBJ is going anywhere else now
6/29/2014 9:43:32 AM
Lebron will just pay a people a separate salary to cone there
6/29/2014 10:49:06 AM
6/29/2014 11:01:08 AM
6/29/2014 11:09:02 AM
Its sunday? Damn I dodnt even realize.
6/29/2014 11:19:12 AM
Im in gmt +0 time zone
6/29/2014 11:19:55 AM
The Heat need to let Wade walk or pay him like $8M a year. They can't afford his ass making $13M or more next season. Getting Lowry would be their best move IMO. He'd be an all star playing with LeBron.
6/29/2014 12:26:01 PM
They'll probably offer Wade a 3 year $36m deal or something. Question is will he have too much pride and ego to accept it.
6/29/2014 1:02:24 PM
If Jeremy Lin can play with Curry at Warriors, it would be sensational. He's on the way to become a new Bruce Lee.
6/29/2014 1:35:06 PM
Kevin Love to the Heat.It's happening.I know it.I hope.Unconfirmed.#Sources
6/29/2014 3:00:21 PM
Kevin Love or melo?
