you just planted the seedgg
10/16/2011 4:07:29 PM
shit, I could have been taking a nap and the seed would have been planted. Its the TWW double shot: anti-Jaybee and anti-Peyton
10/16/2011 4:09:28 PM
In before after Jaybee half-trolls himself so he can claim persecution
10/16/2011 4:09:46 PM
if there wasnt years and years of track records to go by you might have a point

regardless, I've always been a fan

Dick Stockton should not be allowed to call a game when there is a person named Moore on either roster.

- maximus is a horrible troll- Matt Ryan is not that great. Maybe a mid-tier NFL QB.- Turner is a straight up beast.- This is probably the Cam Newton you will see for the rest of the year. He's still over-achieving, but he's still a rookie. He has played pretty bad at the end of the game when there's still a chance. Hopefully that will improve.- Atlanta will not make the playoffs. Sorry Jaybee...but both of your teams suck this year.[Edited on October 17, 2011 at 11:19 AM. Reason : .]

^He hasn't exactly been facing the best passing defenses in the league (Jacksonville being the best (14th), and that was probably his worst game statistically.I wouldn't be surprised to see him throw a lot of picks the rest of the way as he continues to force things.
10/17/2011 11:25:16 AM
i dont know why i go to the georgia dome. its like im a glutton for punishment in that godawful place.
10/17/2011 11:26:32 AM
^^One INT was just a tipped pass -- and it wasn't even tipped by the defender guarding Cam's target. It's shitty but it happens. Hard to put that one on Cam.The second INT was a bad play and pretty much sealed the game. I'm sure Cam just didn't see the defender (it was a dlineman who dropped back into coverage at the last second), but it still was bad.The third was an end-of-the-game heave. Again, can't really put that one on Cam ... he was just doing what all QBs do in that situation. Throw it toward the endzone and give your guy a chance. Three INTs look bad on paper, but only one was a bad throw. Still, the good thing about Cam is he always seems to know where to go with the ball. That's one thing that impresses me most about him. Even if his throws are off target, they're almost always the right read.
10/17/2011 11:37:31 AM
^That's pretty much the case with most interceptions. It's not like Cam's INTs are any different than most QBs.I'm not saying he's not going to be great...I'm just saying that he's a rookie. Go look up Peyton's first year stats. There aren't too many first year world beating QBs. The only ones that have good records are guys that are added to stacked teams and only have to "manage" games.

It doesn't help that we threw it almost 40 times and ran it less than 20.
10/17/2011 11:53:58 AM
I was surprised at how effective Atlanta's run defense was. Stewart and Williams weren't exactly blowing up the stat book yesterday. I also think Carolina should throw in a few more designed runs for Newton. Take advantage of him while he's young.[Edited on October 17, 2011 at 12:57 PM. Reason : .]
10/17/2011 12:49:11 PM
Williams can't get anything done up the middle, they need to run more plays where he runs it outside
10/17/2011 12:54:14 PM
from this weeks MMQB:
10/17/2011 1:13:56 PM
^was about to post that, i'm looking forward to seeing that
10/17/2011 1:37:17 PM
i dont know the song or band that was referenced in that paragraph, but is it the same as the one that the Falcons bus commercial used?
10/17/2011 2:00:06 PM
just googled it, i think it's the same one.kinda lame, but i'll take the press.
10/17/2011 2:01:36 PM
yeah, 6 seconds in and that's the same song as the Falcons one
10/17/2011 2:02:07 PM
you would think they would at least change the theme of the commercial or the song. just like "insert Panthers players and Big Cat" and call it a day
10/17/2011 2:06:49 PM
they could have at least used a different Go! Team songthey have a bunch that would have fit perfectly
10/17/2011 2:09:27 PM
Brandon Lloyd traded to the Rams...so yeah
10/17/2011 2:19:01 PM
incorporating more 3-4 scheme on defense...so yeah
10/17/2011 2:30:22 PM
^Panthers are?
10/17/2011 2:37:31 PM
according to McDermott they are
10/17/2011 2:38:12 PM
10/17/2011 2:38:30 PM
we'll need a few more LB's for that to be viableor maybe Hardy could be a rush OLB, he's 6'4" 277 with some decent speed. probably Norwood too. i assume Johnson would stay as a DE...we would need a bigger DE to play opposite Johnson though.thing is, James Anderson doesn't really fit into a 3-4 does he? he would have to move inside, but we have Connor as well. i'm interested to see how this will play out.
10/17/2011 2:44:10 PM
i think at this point they'll try anything to plug the gaping hatchet wound that is our front lineand via the twit spit
10/17/2011 2:58:51 PM
we're giving up 140.3 rushing YPG, good for 31st in the league.we're sandwiched nicely in between the Colts and the Rams. though we've got a cushion before being the worst...the Rams are giving up 163 rushing YPG^McClain or Fua could move to DE if Fields and Kearse handle the middle]
10/17/2011 3:05:26 PM
that cushion will go away quickly considering we have to defend Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Arian Foster, and Michael Turner once more over the rest of the season.
10/17/2011 3:08:13 PM
feels weird to say this, but i'm least worried about Johnson out of all those namesthen he'll put up 250 with 3 TDs against us
10/17/2011 3:15:13 PM
on an unrelated topic. i'll always like Pat Yasinskas from his days as a Panther beat writer, but the ESPN NFC South blog has become one of the least useful points for information on the Panthers out there. Dude just does not break anything these days, for any NFCS team.
10/17/2011 3:51:12 PM

10/17/2011 3:56:56 PM
I really want to get a custom Cam jersey with Mr. Mopeyhead stitched on the back
10/17/2011 4:12:09 PM
apparently somebody asked Rivera what he would've done if he had lost to San Fran and Harbaugh had shook his hand too hard and slapped him on the back...Rivera said he (Harbaugh) wouldn't have
10/17/2011 4:13:40 PM
i have a feeling you and i are listening to the same drive time sports radio program.
10/17/2011 4:19:34 PM
Rivera would've fucked him in his ass. He fucked guys like him in the can in the ass. Fuckin' trying to break up his handshake.

Rams cut Mike Sims-Walkerwould he be another Naanee or would he be worth picking up
10/17/2011 5:15:31 PM
i think Rivera has made it clear he is unmoving in his loyalty to Naanee. For better or worse.
10/17/2011 5:21:15 PM
I think we are fine at WR. We need LBs and DLs. Our rush defense is atrocious.
10/17/2011 5:25:53 PM
well, 4:00 deadline has passed. As expected the Panthers didn't make any moves.
