If anyone wants two tickets to the Youngstown State game, let me know. I'm not looking for any money, I just don't want them to go to waste. Turns out, I have to work that game, and my roommate already went home early for break since he got a final moved up.

They're section 121, row C...so they're right on the sideline in the SWC section, so you'll need an NCSU id...or just need to be good at finessing the people at the door.

But yeah, just pm me if you want them.

"N.C. State Needs to have a "Real" Game at Reynolds
(Corchiani wants better games in Reynolds)
By Tim Hall

If there's anything a college basketball loves more than having a great team, it's having a great team play in a great venue.

N.C. State played in one of the more classic venues in the country for nearly 50 years at Reynolds Coliseum. In 1999 the men's team moved out into the newer and bigger RBC Center.

But in most years since the Wolfpack has treated fans to an occasional regular season game at the old venue. This year's only trip to Reynolds was a 79-60 win over USC Upstate this past weekend. But that's not enough according to one former Wolfpack star.

"I think it's wonderful for the Pack to get back in Reynolds and play but I'd like to go one step further," former N.C. State guard Chris Corchiani told 620 The Buzz. "I would love to petition the administration to get a real game there. Let's play a Kansas, a Tennessee, a real good non-conference game like an Arizona. Let's pack that place and really get it rockin' and show people what that place was really like."

When the Wolfpack have returned to the Coliseum it's usually been against small conference competition like USC Upstate or Georgia Southern. Arguably the biggest game to be played back in Reynolds was the second-round NIT game against Marist in 2007. With the win on Saturday the Pack improved to 10-0 since the doors re-opened to the men's team. But those games haven't been against power-conference opponents.

The reasons for bigger games and ACC games not being moved from the RBC Center are simple. More seats in the 19,722 seat RBC Center means more people, more tickets to sell, and more revenue. The luxury seats are also something Reynolds can't offer.

But the excitement a big time game in 14,000 seat classic venue might be worth it for one game.

"Everything is done by rank. Start with the No. 1 booster and go down and let's sell that place out in a real special non-conference venue," Corchiani said.

He added that it would not only be great for recruiting but for the fans and the boosters as well.

"They talk about season ticket holders and what they would do," Corchiani said." I would love to see the administration reach out and figure out a solution to play two or three games there."

By opening it up to stiffer competition he Wolfpack might risk its 10-0 record since returning to play a few regular season games at Reynolds. But the environment of a packed home crowd at the old building just might out-do the RBC Center in that department."

"NC State's Ryan Harrow named ACC rookie of the week

By Atlantic Coast Conference

Greensboro, N.C. — Boston College’s Reggie Jackson has been named the ACC Player of the Week, while NC State’s Ryan Harrow was selected the ACC Rookie of the Week following their outstanding performances this past week.

Jackson averaged 21.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as the Eagles posted wins over Providence and Maryland. In Wednesday’s 88-86 home win over Providence, Jackson went nine-for-12 from the floor en route to a game-high 26 points to go along with seven rebounds, assists and two blocked shots. The Colorado Spring, Colo., junior closed out the week Sunday with a 16-point, five-rebound, five-assist effort in a 79-75 ACC victory at Maryland.

In NC State’s only game this past week, Harrow came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points in Saturday’s 79-60 win over visiting USC Upstate. The Marietta, Ga., freshman hit on 10-of-13 from the floor, handed out five assists without a turnover, and had three steals in his 25 minutes of playing time. Harrow has scored in double figures four times this season and is currently third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game."

Congrats to Harrow. Pissed I missed that game. It sounds like he is getting more and more comfprtable with the speed of the college game. I really think these freshman are going to really turn it on when ACC play starts.

FSU is playing Clemson right now. Neither have been very impressive so far this season, so this is a huge game for both in order to get off to a good start in the conference.

^^ I'm happy for Harrow but the speed of a team like that isn't any better than your typical prep team or good HS team. I bet WOG with Leslie or Findlay would wipe the floor with that team.

Leslie Bounces Back!

http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/1031095.html

why is wood referred to as a guard (other than a few minutes @ the 2 and running point in hs)?

^^ Yeah Wake made that guard for UNC-G look pretty good. It's too bad, Wake was kind of impressive against Iowa. I think i might regret saying this:

We're human. We're susceptible to those meaningless buzzwords like "upside" and "potential" like everyone else and with the Tar Heels, we got sucked into the vortex of hype. Expecting a freshman (Harrison Barnes) to lift a team out of its doldrums was probably a little silly -- although, as with all these teams, it's still early. "

Good game in Lawrence.

#3 on the ropes with ~3:00 to go. This would be the first loss at home since 2007 for KU.

Selby looks good and just hit a three to take the lead...

Worth every penny of that ~$6,000.

** With Knight we get plays drawn up as part of being a color commentator. With Vitale we'd get a monologue about Coach K and Kyle Singler...

I've been really impressed with Knox in limited minutes and the small sample I saw him. I don't even remember him much at Alabama that much.

I really wish Cory Joseph went to UConn -- he would've been nasty with Kemba in the backcourt off the ball.

Refs don't call any over the backs on UNC bigmen, but then call a touch foul on Drew II.
