The #16 Crimson Tide survive a scare as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish came into Tuscaloosa looking for the upset. Once again bama oline had difficulty blocking the pass rush as Redshirt Freshman Star Jackson ran for his life pretty much the entire game. The Tide ground game proved to be unstoppable as it went for 245 yds and 2 TD's. QB Star Jackson ended was named player of the game, running for 132yds and 1 TD while going 4 for 11 for 40yds, 1 TD and an int(pick 6). A pick 6 and a kickoff return for a touchdown kept Notre Dame in the game until Tide kicker Leigh Tiffin kicked a 45yd game winner with :59 to go to push the Tide to 9-2 and 5-2 in conference.

Up Next: @ Auburn. Bama will look to defeat a 5-6 Tigers team and stay in the hunt for the SEC West Division and a trip to the SEC Championship. Both at 5-2, the Tide needs some help from LSU or Miss State to clinch a championship spot.

SC holds Army to just 65 yards from scrimmage in a 54-3 victory. It appears that the Florida game hurt Stephen Garcia for the next 2 weeks so he won't be able to play against the 11-0 Tigers. However, his replacement, Hillary, stepped in and showed off some nice throwing ability in the lopsided win. Hillary went 13-16 for 240 and 2 scores.

The win puts South Carolina at 7-4 and in either 2nd or 3rd place in the SEC East, 4th or 5th in the conference overall.

Georgia sucks ass again, this time @ home against Kentucky. 6-5 (4-4) now with a virtual must win against in-state rival Georgia Tech.

Major changes are in store next season in Athens as a new offensive system will be put in place.

NC State takes down Virginia Tech in Blacksburg 38-28, behind the arm of Russell Wilson slinging the ball all over the field. Colby Jackson steps in with 2 rushing TDs.

Virginia Tech's spectacular special teams play is not enough, as Bud Foster's defense struggles to contain Dana Bible's Wilson-led offense all day, after forcing an interception the first possession of the game. A back and forth game including a kick return TD for Virginia Tech finally swung in NC State's favor, as the defense finally found an answer for Tyrod Taylor and the Hokies offense late. Both teams played most of the game without their starting running back, as both Evans and Baker were injured in the first half.

Both teams look ahead to upcoming rivalry games against UNC and Virginia.
