I was just proposed Tomlinson and Marshawn Lynch for Barber...should I??My RB's:Jones DrewF. JacksonL. McCoyMendenhallCoffeeJ. Stewart
9/29/2009 5:25:52 PM
DeSean Jackson is having a bye week for me. Do I replace him with Lee Evans @ MIA or Torry Holt vs TEN this week?
9/29/2009 5:53:21 PM
c'mon guys, i don't know how long this trade will be on the table!
9/29/2009 5:59:07 PM
thats a ton of RBs, i say go ahead and do it then trade for a spot you are weak at.
9/29/2009 6:01:08 PM
give tony gonzales for cotchery.PPR league. I'm tempted because I am real thin at WR, but I feel like i should be able to get a bigger name for gonzales.
9/29/2009 8:57:00 PM
he's striking while the iron is hot. Gonzo will be solid the entire season, especially when Turner gets hurt (trust me, he will). Cotch has a rookie throwing to him that could easily hit a wall.Don't do...or try to get someone better.Cotch is on a tear, and it certainly wouldn't be the worst trade ever, but see if you can negotiate a little on that one.
9/29/2009 9:12:20 PM
i quickly scanned and didnt see any mention of it... but Tashard Choice for Dallas is their only healthy back now, so his value is ^ ^ ^ if he is available. I just put in to claim him off waiver wires but can't imagine he will be available for me because I am 2-1 and we have all active people in a 12 man league. crossing my fingers that 8 people are daydreaming and miss out.
9/29/2009 9:22:51 PM
^^ I had the same thoughts. I countered with colston. He is been ok, but no monster games yet. Gotta love the saints passing offense, though.
9/29/2009 9:33:52 PM
willie parker..... is he back after last week?contender or pretender?(also considering Thomas Jones, Chris Johnson, Caddy Williams, W. McGahee for 3 spots)
9/29/2009 9:56:21 PM
id go with chris, thomas, and willis personally.
9/29/2009 11:01:25 PM
i want to drop anthony gonzalez -- he is dead weight, he may lose his job to garcon, he may be out longer. Total dead weightI have garcon and I need another receiver because of bye weeks. Also will hopefully get glen coffee -- dude i am playing this week has gore and no good backups, so i have to try to grab coffee.
9/30/2009 12:39:11 AM
^i say drop him. i picked up garcon as a bye week replacement as well. coffee would be a great pickup.i tried to get him in my league to no avail.my team is fucked this week. turner, hightower, mccoy, desean jackson, and roddy white are on a bye. barber and felix jones are both hurt. in addition to garcon, i had to pick up correll buckhalter and tashard choice at rb. i had to drop beanie wells, neil rackers, eagles defense, and one of my idps to fill empty roster slots. should have payed attention to bye weeks in the draft.[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 5:30 AM. Reason : johnny knox could be a good bye week replacement]
9/30/2009 5:27:03 AM
Woo I won the Coffee sweepstakes. Makes me feel much better about having Gore resting on my bench right now. Heres my situation this weekend:Pick 3 rb'sKnowshon Moreno v DalGlen Coffee v StlWillie Parker v SDDonald Brown v SeaPick 3 wr'sSteve Smith (NYG) @ KCTJ Housh @ IndOchocinco @ CleColston @ NYJLeaning towards benching Colston this weekend. I'm not sure Brees throws for more then 2 tds (if even) and if so I don't know if I like the odds of one going to Colston.
9/30/2009 8:09:46 AM
I like Colston more than Housh just because of the QB factor. Though I understand you being hesitant, because Colston will surely have Revis on him, and he's already pretty much shut down A. Johnson and R. Moss this season.
9/30/2009 9:29:26 AM
Yeah I mean I definitely would play Colston over Housh any other day of the week, but I just don't like the matchup this week at all. Not to mention Seattle should be playing from behind so Housh will have a good amount of targets hopefully.I'm still up in the air about Schaub and Brady. Looking at the schedules they both have pretty favorable matchups along the way and based strength of schedule it should be pretty easy to pick between the two each week. But I just don't want to leave that much value on my bench - my league is 1 pt per 10 passing yards and all tds are 7 pts. [Edited on September 30, 2009 at 10:41 AM. Reason : a]
9/30/2009 10:34:14 AM
Trade Proposed:Get: Devery HendersonGive: Ted GinnAs far as I'm concerned they're pretty much equal but I'm not sure if the Henne transition in Miami will hurt or help Ginn. What do you guys think.
9/30/2009 3:27:06 PM
This was proposed to me: (get)Tim Hightower (get)Mark ClaytonforCalvin Johnson.[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 4:03 PM. Reason : ...]
9/30/2009 3:55:39 PM
^ unless your supper thin at RB don't take it
9/30/2009 4:07:23 PM
My starters are Bush and Thomas Jones. I have Mendenhall on the bench
9/30/2009 4:10:15 PM
is Hightower really that great? I know he had a bunch of receptions one week, but...This was proposed to me:(get)Lee Evans(get)DeAngelo WilliamsforMario ManninghamI really am lacking in the WR department, with Housh and C. Johnson struggling, which is why I picked Manningham up in the first place. Also my RB's (Forte, Grant, Rice) are under-performing
9/30/2009 4:30:36 PM
9/30/2009 4:37:32 PM
I'd jump all over that. I'd trade Manningham for Deangelo straight up any day, Lee Evans is just a bonus[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 4:42 PM. Reason : double post]
Evans has been garbage this year and taking DeAngelo means I would have to drop a RB, right?I don't want to drop Ray Rice or Ryan Grant and then have them picked up by someone who kicks my ass with them.I'm really leaning towards Rejecting. talk me out of it. I also don't think M. Manningham is a one-hit-wonder.
9/30/2009 4:40:16 PM
Lee Evans is a solid starter week in and week outManningham will move down the depth chart when the injuries for the Giants get taken care of.not to mention you get DeAngelo who according to the panthers, is going to be getting many more carries in the next few weeksyoud be retarded not to take that tradeI mean absolutely retarded.
9/30/2009 4:42:21 PM
Evans is one of those guys who will get you 1 catch for 6 yards one game, then have 190 receiving yards in another game...he's inconsistent but look at it like this...you're getting a TOP 5 player in Deangelo...don't drop Grant or Rice, just drop your worst player
9/30/2009 4:43:56 PM
I have no K and D this week so I need to cut two off my bench for SundayHelp me decide who gets the axePPRManninghamSantanaMcFaddenFred JacksonRoy WilliamsMarshallI'm think Roy Williams and either Santana or Manningham, since my two starting WR's are Wayne and Andre Johnson, and I can only start one more in the flex so its pointless to have more than 2 reserve wideouts[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 4:46 PM. Reason : x]
9/30/2009 4:45:50 PM
i take it you already dropped your kicker from last week to pick up somebody else and therefore you can't just swap kicker for kicker? If so yeah I'd hang onto your two RBs, and definitely hang on to Marshall
9/30/2009 4:51:49 PM
Yeah I stream kickers and defense, plus one of my roster spots is sapped this week by having to pick up a backupp TE for Gonzalez's bye
9/30/2009 4:53:01 PM
yeah I got lucky and snagged Ben Watson to back up Tony G...I think I dropped Antonio Bryant to get my kickerbye week adds and drops are pivotal[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 4:54 PM. Reason : .]
9/30/2009 4:54:20 PM
i just proposed Colston (my player) for Lee Evans and Brandon Jacobs..think that's a fair trade? stupid? I need a starting RB, and Evans would probably be a starter for me most weeks too...or do you think he'll just reject it..
9/30/2009 5:38:24 PM
I'd reject it, but it cant hurt to offer, its not a total fuck you trade
9/30/2009 5:47:30 PM
I swear looking at some of the trades going on in this thread... I wish I were playing in your leagues and I wish they were for money
9/30/2009 6:47:27 PM
Tough choices for me this week, we have one flex for RB/WR. My picks are in bold:RB Pick 2 or 3 (if 2, pick 4 WR):Glen Coffee vs. STLRay Rice vs. NEPierre Thomas vs. NYJAhmad Bradshaw vs. KCWR Pick 3 or 4:Randy Moss vs. BALVincent Jackson vs. PITJohnny Knox vs. DETMarques Colston vs. NYJI figure Colston will have Revis on him and shut him down...but Bradshaw is an interesting play against the Chiefs if he can go.Thoughts?
9/30/2009 7:05:20 PM
I'd still play Colston over Knox there.I think the Saints have too many weapons for Revis to just shut down Colston, and I think Colston has a better shot at a TD then Knox.[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 7:16 PM. Reason : a]
9/30/2009 7:16:14 PM
so someone keeps sending me this trade...colston and d williams for c johnson and e royal...i sent him a counter that he will deny..c johnson, d avery, e royalfor r wayne, colston, d williamsis his original trade good? or basically just old on to cj, cuz i really dont want to trade him unless i kick ass in the trade.
9/30/2009 11:23:34 PM
^you'd be getting Colston and DeAngelo?
10/1/2009 2:55:42 AM
yea and giving up chris johnson and eddie royal
10/1/2009 3:06:39 AM
I swear, some of these trades are absurd.
10/1/2009 5:27:15 AM
just got offered willis mcgahee for randy moss in my not-so-competitive. i'm leaning towards rejecting it. thoughts?
10/1/2009 7:23:12 AM
^ yeah definitely reject that. Moss is a No. 1 WR[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 9:41 AM. Reason : a]
10/1/2009 9:41:01 AM
what are the chances fast willie actually plays this weekend?I've got Mendenhall and he has Parker. I don't really have any other options because of byes this week outside of picking up M. Morris from DET but it isn't a guarantee that Smith will sit either.
10/1/2009 10:29:43 AM
^ turf toe is a pretty tough injury to come back from after only one week. I wouldnt be surprised if Parker plays a limited role and, depending on the pain, leave the game early. Currently Questionable and didnt practice Wed. Leon W (NYJ), Chester Taylor (MIN), Donald Brown (IND) could be available in your league.[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 11:14 AM. Reason : a]
10/1/2009 11:13:02 AM
^^ I have an opinion on that but I don't know if I am qualified enough to give opinions on here yet I am thinking of picking up either Brandon Marshall or Derrick Mason, but I can't decide who will be better in the long run in my ppr league. Thoughts?[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 11:16 AM. Reason : .]
10/1/2009 11:15:38 AM
Marshall
10/1/2009 11:17:59 AM
Curious what TWW thinks:PRR League - 2 RB's:Glen Coffee vs STL (starting for sure)Marshawn Lynch @MIAFred Jackson @MIAJoseph Addai vs. SEADonald Brown vs. SEAFrank Gore (Out)I'm leaning toward Addai for my #2.
10/1/2009 11:18:05 AM
Yo! Sorry I haven't been able to get to things lately....I've been, and still am at a conference in New Orleans.Gettin' Crackin' on this tonight.- The Guru
10/1/2009 11:21:19 AM
^^ Addai is a good choice. SEA is pretty decent against the pass but terrible against the run, so I expect IND will run a bit more than usual.
10/1/2009 11:21:56 AM
hopefully its a conference on the New Orleans Saints fantasy projections for the rest of the season
10/1/2009 11:22:10 AM
I countered and then he countered:I get: Heath MillerClinton PortisFor:Calvin JohnsonOwen Daniels
