Also, that particular neckline attracts the eye upward, drawing attention away from the hips.

a little off the current topic:what do you larger-chested ladies use for a strapless bra? I could really use some experience-based opinions, as I have yet to find something I like (even among long-lines)
8/19/2011 1:12:15 PM
I've given up on strapless bras and dresses. a) I'm too afraid my ladies will pop outb) I don't like having to adjust my clothes every 5 min
8/19/2011 2:31:06 PM
I know you guys hated on it but I've found it and now i hope I can find it in store
8/19/2011 2:53:10 PM
I'm not a big fan of the bow-tie blouses, but I do like thesehttp://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod4290011&categoryId=cat2580027&cid=200001I think the color makes it a lot less dowdy looking and makes it pop. (not a big fan of the front seams, I'd have to try it on)I really like this one toohttp://us.asos.com/ASOS-ASOS-Asymmetric-Pussy-Bow-Blouse/wleim/?iid=1754291&MID=35719&affid=2135&siteID=J84DHJLQkR4-8Tc20a3nFN7arxqVxMuoig&r=2&mporgp=L1Byb2QvI think the bow on the side makes it so much better

just admit you stopped reading after the first three comments said "eww gross"
8/19/2011 3:42:15 PM
No I just took your statement, which i did read, as more indifferent and not the wow so cute! I was hoping for.
8/19/2011 3:45:33 PM
well i could lie and be like, "LIKE OMMMMMG SO FREAKING CUUUUUUUTE LOVES IT SMOOCH SMOOCH" but i was never indifferent, i just said to be careful of the shape of the blouse if you're top heavy.
8/19/2011 3:46:54 PM
I'm normal? I don't feel top heavy but I know what you are talking about. Luckily I don't have that issue
8/19/2011 3:50:18 PM
well then you're lucky. i just know i have to watch for stuff up top (ruffles, big bows, billowy shirts)
8/19/2011 3:56:35 PM
Well i think it helps if the material is sheer, but if its comp. solid then ya you'll look bigger than you really are. When did you go brunette?
8/19/2011 3:59:22 PM
been brunette consistently for the last 2+ years......before that my hair went a little something like: red, brown, red, brown, red, blonde, brown, black, blonde, brown. it's easier to keep it dark
8/19/2011 4:00:48 PM
ya i swore you were always red. I don't click on peoples pics a lot obviously
8/19/2011 4:02:28 PM
I love having big boobs. Today I'm wearing a black ruffle top (kind of like the ones posted but sleeveless) and a hot pink skirt. Ruffles can be hard to pull off (but black def helps). [Edited on August 19, 2011 at 4:05 PM. Reason : Like the NY&CO one but with less scarf and sleeveless. ]
8/19/2011 4:02:32 PM
I hate the fabric choices on those Jessica Simpson dresses. They just scream ugly bridesmaids...
8/19/2011 4:02:40 PM
8/19/2011 4:05:55 PM
I have one dress in that fabric ... but it's black, so it doesn't seem as bad. But that fabric in any vibrant color just gets bleh. Total bad bridesmaid.[Edited on August 19, 2011 at 4:06 PM. Reason : r]

I got a new hat from Target!! w00t!! I LOVE hats!![Edited on August 19, 2011 at 5:19 PM. Reason : LOOK AT THAT FLOWER!!]
8/19/2011 5:18:22 PM
I wish I could wear hats. I think they look cute on some other people but when I put one one I feel all hurrrr durrrr.
8/19/2011 5:30:53 PM
I love that hat! Punchmonk has nice skintone.
8/19/2011 7:42:49 PM
hot darn, punchmonk is a cutey back to the matters at hand...1. I, too, wish I could wear hats without looking ridiculous. not fair!2. STRAPLESS BRAS people!! I need halp
8/19/2011 9:30:44 PM
^ i loathe strapless bras quite difficult to find ones that are comfortable.. i'm curious to see what others recommend
8/19/2011 9:33:36 PM
I also need new bras--including a strapless bra. I need a strapless bra that's 1) comfortable and 2) makes my small titties look big. So, it needs to be a magic bra. Also, which store was the fitting store that came highly recommended here? The Bra Patch?
8/19/2011 9:58:51 PM
brainsy.net has changed. it's now called styleshuffler and they require you to sign up and they don't have room for me yet. how am I supposed to aimlessly window shop on the internet until then?!
8/19/2011 10:08:04 PM
this is from the confessions thread but i thought it would be better posted here too
8/19/2011 11:06:46 PM
I did well on the ring for a long time. I think like a year and a half or two years, but it's been a while and I don't exactly remember. But then my cramps came back with a vengeance (I originally got on BC to minimize cramps) and my PMS got a lot worse. It was weird.
8/19/2011 11:29:18 PM
this is relevant to my interests. I'm getting my iud out next month and I need to figure out what I'm going on afterwards. if it weren't for the side effects involved with having pcos and the iud I'd be going back on the iud. Apparently people with PCOS have a greater chance of developing depression on the IUD and have a much harder time losing weight. My sister got hers out and lost 40 pounds.
8/20/2011 9:31:48 AM
The ring rocks. I have four periods a year bc the doc recommended just skipping them.
8/20/2011 2:32:47 PM
I really liked Nuvaring when I was on it.
8/20/2011 2:33:48 PM
The worst for me was the patch. UGH! Horrible mood swings and periods that lasted for weeks.
8/20/2011 2:34:55 PM
I, too had issues with the patch and the demo shot. I usually have to change my pill about once a year too. Still get awful periods and cramps
8/20/2011 3:31:23 PM
i loved the ring too. i was on it for prob around 18 monthsthen i started having some major issues....which all went away when i went off the ringim back on the pill but i'd really prefer to not be on anything seeing as i've been on bc non stop for the past 15 years or so i'd consider a copper iud but my doc refuses to give me an iud bc 1) im not married and 2) i have no kids

This is an eversave for NuMe Hairstyling tools:18 for $85 and $30 for $130I'm interested in their curling wand.. anyone ever heard of NuMe before? I think the annoying kiosks at the mall sell their shit.http://redeemio.com/Raleigh-Durham/shopping-other-deal/nume-style22/157874Here's their curling wand:http://www.numestyle.com/shop/products/Curling-Wand.html#
8/20/2011 7:11:26 PM
Wolfy, go to planned parenthood or call them up and ask about gynos in the area if you want the IUD. I hate docs that do stupid shit like that, even though I had the opposite problem (wanted my tubes tied and they tried to talk me into an IUD).
8/20/2011 7:30:40 PM
^^ I have a curling wand and I love it! Mine is Remington but I feel they're all the same. It curls so much better than a traditional curling iron and doesn't leave clamp marks. You might want to invest in a heat glove until you get the swing of it because the irons gets hotter than a normal curling iron does. Also mine is cone shaped and was only $25 at target. If you want a curling wand, you might want to look at target first [Edited on August 21, 2011 at 1:51 PM. Reason : Whoa price]
8/21/2011 1:50:24 PM
i didnt know you were a harry potter fan, all this talk about wands and heat gloves i'm going to assume is some kind of wizardry
8/21/2011 1:54:04 PM
Has anyone used a waver?http://www.ideeli.com/events/56259/offers/2130426/latest_view/1328190This seems like a great deal on a ceramic waver, but I'm not sure what it will do to my hair. Will it create loose waves? Or weird crimps?
8/21/2011 1:55:44 PM
^ I used one very much like that way back in middle school. it was a helen of troy one, iirc. damaged my hair just like a flat iron, but worked well. I have really fine hair though, and most heating tools do just what they are meant to on it.
8/21/2011 2:14:58 PM
The ceramic waver crimped my hair more than a curling wand.

So many cute blouses for girls with tiny titties [Edited on August 21, 2011 at 7:46 PM. Reason : I always underestimate how large mine are]
8/21/2011 7:45:51 PM
^ I, too, underestimate them. Mine, that it. Maybe yours. I probably underestimate yours as well. but it's always a mistake when that happens because I end up looking like I'm trying to shoot porn when all I'm trying to do is walk down a street and be normal
8/21/2011 8:08:36 PM
I was okay with Nuvaring, but some of my acne started coming back after two years. Plus I would take it out before sex because it could feel it moving around in there. So it actually ended up being more annoying for me since I was taking it in and out. I'm much happier on Yaz, despite that I have to take it every day.
8/21/2011 8:08:43 PM
what is this Bra Patch you speak of? I'm not a fan of the bigger dept stores (and you don't get much bigger than the nordstrom's at garden state plaza). I have looked at their online selection though - so that fantasie 4530, does it actually stay up? Also, I'm sure I need to be re-measured, but I don't like strange people all up in my business
8/21/2011 9:26:00 PM
Some of us girls just don't wear anything that requires a strapless bra. I was recently measured as a 38D, but I'm more comfortable in a 42D. The band of a strapless bra is so freakin' uncomfortable in order to good lift. I just squash everything down in a sports bra and leave the cute clothes to the single ladies.
8/21/2011 9:39:57 PM
Yeah, it stays up all day if you need it to (I was wearing it while I was in a wedding, so maybe had it on for 6 hours?). I was super surprised to find one that held me up so well. It's awesome. I had been wearing a 36G, but I truly needed a 34 so that there was no slippage.I don't make a habit of wearing the strapless bra, but it's nice to know I have it when I want to wear something that requires it.The Bra Patch is a bra store in Raleigh, which carries some larger and harder-to-fit sizes:http://www.thebrapatch.com/Measure yourself: it's pretty easy.If you really hate the idea of going to a brick and mortar store, you can always order a variety of things from sites like figleaves or herroom and then return them if they don't work out.[Edited on August 21, 2011 at 9:46 PM. Reason : .]
8/21/2011 9:44:50 PM
^cool! thanks for the recommendation. I'm gonna give that one a try I might also have to visit this bra patch while I'm in town this weekend.
8/22/2011 7:34:43 AM
im surprised the big boobied ladies like sports brasthey are they most uncomfortable thing in the world to me. i hate them. when i work out i cant wait to get home and get that thing off me
