maybe a solid print outside and a fun print inside?

^ What kind of material do you think I should use? And any ideas on how to attach it? (Besides duct tape because I would do that, haha.)I also need ideas on how to make a spice rack... I know IKEA has some cheap ones but the closest IKEA to me is Atlanta
8/10/2011 5:33:34 PM
I think hot glue would be a quick and easy way to attach it. If you are looking to protect the purses, maybe a layer of foam or quilt batting on the inside would work well, and it might make it look better on the outside as well, maybe put some buttons on the outer fabric to add texture and attach it to the batting/foam.

ooooooo, good ideaI assume all the stuff you listed would be at Michael's or somewhere similar?maybe bmel can help me (haha)

8/10/2011 11:48:21 PM
those aren't badkeep it in a classic style and you'll be fine (which you've done) once you take an exotic pattern and put it on a more sexy shoe is where you get in that skanky territory

For the spice rack, I love Alton Brown's idea of spice organization. He has these little jars with spices. He puts a velcro strip running down his cabinet, and attaches velcro to small jars. Here's a nice link to someone's instructable of a magnetic one. You could do these above a stove too. I think they look awesome.

Lols, I didn't post the link.. and timed out. http://www.instructables.com/id/Magnetic-Spice-Rack/

i have these, well the knock off since i'm not spending $300 on a pair of shoes, and i wear them all the time. i have to get them re-soled but they're perfect. i can even get away with them at work with a black pencil skirt and a simple top. just adds a bit of fun.and no, my office has no qualms about the peep toe shoe.

^^ooo take a picture, I wanna see that!I was told (by the old lady I was replacing)that our dress code was business casual, but now I'm the only girl so I just wear whatever I want as long as I'm not all hanging out of it. Today I was a bit lazy and just put on a maxi and comfy sandals [Edited on August 11, 2011 at 9:52 AM. Reason : divababy]

Sam, that's nuts!My company is even a smidge more strict. But my department gets a pass because we're "wacky creative folks." Hence why people show up in shorts and graphic tees. And everyone else in the company hates us. My gf works in HR and you can't even highlight your hair if it's even the slightest bit obvious that you highlighted it. And god forbid your roots show in the slightest. Home you go! No peep toes. No slingbacks. Heels must be lower than 3". Must wear hose. Ick.
8/11/2011 10:06:10 AM
Yeah I push the envelope as much as possible... which is why it makes me that red is actually a natural color -- haha in YO FACE DRESS CODEand my classmate was really excited that no one noticed her blue nail polish this summer... we're trying to sneak past it

^ The leggings, tank tops and shower shoes blow my mind. It's one thing to wear jeans and a tee. It's another to wear pants that cling to every inch of your body and a skimpy top that leaves nothing to the imagination. Casual shouldn't mean showing the world your goods.
8/11/2011 10:34:01 AM
I am going to have to google shower shoes.
8/11/2011 10:34:55 AM

Midol and lay on the floor with your legs up on the wall
8/11/2011 11:22:30 AM
Heat Pad? that helps me.
8/11/2011 11:23:16 AM
i took IB, but midol never did anything special for me. thanks though. isn't that kind of what the point of perfume is? and who decides wow, i stink, i better take a bath in cologne so nobody smells my funk....I have a male friend from buenos aires and he always wears too much cologne, so i know how it can get annoying. if i can taste it in my mouth, it's too much.
8/11/2011 11:25:09 AM
8/11/2011 11:41:22 AM
if you can make it happen, a fetal position usually helps me. I have those killer cramps too. I hope you get relief!
8/11/2011 11:42:41 AM
i haven't had a heavy period in many months so i guess it's time to make up what i missed out on
8/11/2011 11:44:55 AM
Ibuprofen and Tylenol at the same timehigh doses
8/11/2011 11:45:16 AM
maybe i should take a shot or two on top of it just kidding, alcohol thins the blood. and so does aleve if you didn't know it!![Edited on August 11, 2011 at 11:50 AM. Reason : also, screw all you girls who can order shoes without trying them onnnnnnn]
8/11/2011 11:50:04 AM
so wait, does taking aspirin really make your period longer or the "blood" thinner? I thought that was just an old wives tale, since the lining is just being shed etc...
8/11/2011 11:57:49 AM
well, while the lining is shedding there are broken blood vessels. aspirin really does thin the blood, making you bleed more- you could also notice that the blood is brighter in color, indicating that it is fresher. i'm not sure it makes your period last longer though.
8/11/2011 12:00:04 PM
since we are on the topic of Periods anything you guys do for PMS? Apparently this is getting worse for me I feel... I become so emotional and anxious and its not healthy. working out helps but not as much as i hope.
8/11/2011 12:33:08 PM
Usually for PMS, I get the fuck out of dodge
8/11/2011 12:36:37 PM
good plan. my period is irregular but i can always tell when i'm going to get it because i start exploding into tears over nothing. well, i could tell but usually i'm asking myself "why am i crying for no fucking reason?" and the next day or two after i'm like durrrrrr
8/11/2011 12:48:17 PM
I don't cry but I get the feeling that I could at any minute about a week and a half before mine comes...I never notice until after the fact like you saidits like oh yeah I get it now
8/11/2011 12:49:44 PM
i never had a problem with PMS but i know certain birth controls can help alleviate some of the symptoms. i don't know if this is something you've maybe talked to your GYN about it.
8/11/2011 12:58:52 PM
Goldengirl, I have been having the dame problem recently. I've been on bc since I was 16, but in the last 6 months my pms symptoms have gotten considerably worse. My Dr. Suggested a different type of bc other than the pill. One that uses only one hormone rather than 2. But the cost difference may prevent me from giving it a try.
