I love thrift store shopping too, but rarely hit the jackpot that you girls seem so good at doing...

However, I did befriend Adore boutique on facebook and they post what new stuff they got in so that is nice. Has anyone been to Fifi's in downtown Durham? I found an amazing Ana Sui dress there last time but it was just slightly too big...

When I'm really looking to expand my wardrobe I go once a week. CFP has all clothes 50 percent off on Sundays, so there is less selection, but it is super cheap. That also means they put out all new stock on Mondays.

The junior league thrift store is supposed to be good too. My friend/coworker is in junior league and she told me they have to donate so much to the place a year so you can get some great hand me downs.

I, too, got a new purse. It was very cheap, though. Definitely within my poor person budget. 30 bucks from Target and it holds EVERYTHING including my Nook Color and lesson plan book.

I saw one at the target in knightdale, and didn't get and then whined about it for a week, so we went to another target and couldn't find it. I finally found it (and it was the last one) a few weeks later at the target on capital boulevard, but one of the little loops that held the belt strap on the front pocket had a loose seam. I said fuck it and bought it anyway. I love it, and I'm going to take it to school tomorrow and fix it up with some hot glue or krazy glue.

The reviews I read had some from several years ago, so I think it is an item they carry consistently.

I got some great deals today at the outlet near my house (yes, there's an AMAZINGGGGGG outlet mall less than 10 minutes from me... trouble!)


First, these flats... cute and comfy as hell (clinic attire)






Next, these shoes from the Fergalicious line... clearance, baby




Lastly (at least for pictures), my Banana Republic sweater I got for $16 (it has zippers on the shoulders!!!!)




I also got a GAP purse for like $10, jeans for about $25, and work pants for about $25

i think the blouse could be cute if worn the right way (aka the right outfit).

i would just be careful of that big bow in the front and how it drapes across the boobs - stuff like that never really flatters me well because i'm big chested and it just makes me look bigger up top (which then makes it look like i'm hiding something in my midsection because it balloons out).

you might want to see if you could find one more fitted and not so billowy.

i've seen some really neat things done with japanese masking tape! i want to try DIY stenciling with the masking tape. has anyone done this before? probably just a small area like an accent wall. i don't know. it seems like it could be fun.

Not really an "shop" discussion, but I'm trying to figure out a way to store my purses nicely... I don't have room in my closet but have plenty of room in my bedroom. I was thinking of somehow covering rubbermaid bin I have and making it into some sort of "purse basket" ya know? And since it would be in the open, it would encourage me to actually keep it neat. Any ideas on what fabric I should use?
