the ignorance in that statement is astounding...

Panthers fans gonna love this:http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/27/handicapping-the-field-for-los-angeles-with-one-surprise-team/
5/27/2011 6:31:09 PM
only the clueless ones
5/27/2011 6:34:55 PM
GO PANTHERS
5/31/2011 9:40:38 AM
that is the dumbest rumor I have heard in a long time. This asshole is just throwing out names and seeing what sticks
5/31/2011 12:25:26 PM
5/31/2011 4:09:21 PM
If Sorenson or Fowler were real journalists, they'd be out there incognito taking notes, acting like a maittenance worker or janitor.
5/31/2011 4:12:06 PM
Officially called out
6/1/2011 5:14:02 PM
he's making a big deal out of nothing
6/1/2011 5:17:58 PM
Seems like the best way to make your 2-14 more popular is to embrace them, not shun them
6/1/2011 5:18:58 PM
i'm sure the Panthers media rep was there to field questionsoh wait, there is no media rep since the owners locked the players outi don't get why he's blaming the players for this]
6/1/2011 5:19:42 PM
Who said anything about the owners?Players are blowing a chance to earn goodwill with the fansUse your head, Skip.
6/1/2011 5:21:19 PM
they could earn goodwill with the fans if they and the owners came to an agreement on a CBAi couldnt care less about asking Jordan Gross how it felt to jog around at Charlotte Christian on June 1stbesides knowing Gross, he'd only answer questions about American Idol]
6/1/2011 5:23:46 PM
they are opening the last day to the media. i don't really see what the big deal is if they want to do it privately.
6/1/2011 5:28:09 PM
^ Seriously. I wouldn't want 50 cameramen trying to snap Cam Newton's every move when he's just meeting and trying to get to know his teammates for the first time. There's not even anything really to see other than watching some guys run drills.Let the guys practice in peace you jerk.
6/1/2011 8:02:46 PM
apparently Steve Smith was not present, and was not even extended an invitation to attend. seems like he's good as gone once the lockout is over.
6/1/2011 8:46:12 PM
that information might have upset me 6 months ago. now i don't even give a shit
6/1/2011 10:01:27 PM
I really don't give half a shit if the media has access to the workouts. Especially since all the local media are shills who never tell us anything
6/1/2011 10:02:02 PM
^^i'm on the same page in regards to Smith. the Panthers can't get much worse so losing him will only help the future (via a draft pick or two)
6/1/2011 10:05:48 PM
I DO NOT GIVE A F#*! ABOUT THE DAMN LOCKOUT. FIGURE IT OUT.I DO, IN FACT, CARE ABOUT WORKOUTS. SO THE PLAYERS LOCKING OUT MEDIA COVERAGE, IS, IN MY OPINION, BULLSHIT. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE PLAYERS I LOVE, ON THE TEAM I LOVE, IN THE CITY I LOVE, WITH THE GAME I LOVE.I ALSO FEEL LIKE TYPING IN CAPS BECAUSE THIS WHOLE THING HAS PISSED ME OFF, AND ESPECIALLY WITH THAT MO-RAN WHO PUBLISHED AN UNEDUCATED ARTICLE ABOUT THE PANTHERS MOVING./rantgo 'thers.[Edited on June 2, 2011 at 11:34 AM. Reason : .]
6/2/2011 11:34:02 AM
so you would rather the team you love spend all their time answering questions than practicing and becoming familiar with their new teammates and new playbooks?
6/2/2011 11:58:09 AM
I love it when the media acts all self-important.
6/2/2011 12:22:10 PM
gothers?
6/2/2011 12:23:52 PM
6/2/2011 1:20:39 PM
Florio of PFT says it well regarding workouts in privacy:
6/2/2011 9:14:15 PM
the other thing is Silver doesn't even cover the Panthers and he wasn't one of the media members turned awayThe media members who were turned away by the security guard were local media...and I haven't read anything by any local media members who were upset about not having access...only Silver
6/2/2011 9:22:51 PM
haha in fairness, Sorensen and Fowler were probably ecstatic to stay in an air conditioned office as opposed to actually working as journalists in 95 degree heat.
6/2/2011 9:27:54 PM
Sorenson is from Minnesota so I agreeFowler on the other hand was probably pissed off he didn't get to watch muscular sweaty men run around in the heat, since he went to UNC
6/2/2011 9:37:10 PM
OBLIVIOUS
6/8/2011 2:18:25 PM
but he throws a tight spiral!
6/8/2011 2:32:37 PM
those stats are both ridiculous and hilarious
6/8/2011 2:43:09 PM
6/9/2011 3:22:07 PM
Bank of America stadium is hosting a Gold Cup game right now, Cuba vs Mexicono one probably cares
6/9/2011 10:22:41 PM
Panthers might try to sign any of the defecting Cubans.
6/9/2011 10:25:56 PM
seems like all the Panthers players are drinking the Cam Kool-Aid...so far, he's doing everything right which is good enough for me. i'm starting to wonder if the questions about his character/work ethic (possibly media fueled) are completely unfounded.
6/9/2011 10:54:36 PM
he's just pretending to work hard so that richardson won't jew him quite as bad on his contract.
6/10/2011 12:09:49 AM
his contract is gonna come down not to his work either but to whether or not its the old or a new CBA
6/10/2011 12:12:33 AM
can't wait for Hard Knocks in a few months
6/10/2011 3:15:21 AM
6/10/2011 9:37:17 AM
Hahaha
6/10/2011 9:40:48 AM
makin david carr look pretty sweet
6/10/2011 9:42:05 AM
Panthers related because of the pro football talk article posted above:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/nfl/06/10/los-angeles-stadium.ap/index.html?sct=hp_t2_a3&eref=sihp
6/10/2011 4:33:32 PM
in other words, not Panthers related
6/10/2011 4:37:48 PM
stupid post is stupid
6/10/2011 4:38:33 PM
Is the sweet prince coming back to Charlotte?Ryan Kalil starts campaign to bring Jake Delhomme back to Carolinahttp://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/06/11/ryan-kalil-starts-campaign-to-bring-jake-delhomme-back-to-carolina/
6/11/2011 11:33:22 AM
I know I'm probably in the vast minority, but I'd love to have Jake back for a season or two as a backup. Players love him, other QBs respect him, and he could help Cam and Clausen develop some leadership skills. He gave a lot to this organization and seemed to love it here. And who knows, without Davidson calling the plays, he might have some magic left in the 'ole arm.
6/11/2011 12:36:41 PM
The ole arm is dead,But he could be a good mentor to Cam. As long as he knows he's a backup.
6/11/2011 2:09:08 PM
not an elite WR my ass
6/17/2011 5:41:08 PM
Cam- do you think Smitty is going to stay here?
6/20/2011 3:41:18 PM
similar to what Ribs posted in the CBA thread, but a little more specific to the impact on the Panthershttp://blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2011/06/what-proposed-cba-could-mean-to-panthers.html
