With this draft? I'd say high chance of him returning

Yeah. I mean, what position will he play in the pros? He isn't big enough to be a power forward, and he hasn't shown the skills of wing. He needs another year to show that he can improve his shot and ball-handling.

i'm not saying he won't go pro, b/c kids make bad decisions all the time, but he can barely handle the ball in the acc. he's not going to do anything in the nba right now.

He has improved this year though for sure. His FG% is going up, and he has got a nice little jab step working out well for him that he has developed.

He's a freak athlete and he's learning how to better use his freak-athleticism. He's still not a exceptionally good basketball player though, but he's improving. Another year or two will certainly help his NBA stock.

He is either gonna bolt to the NBA a la Hickson Ced or stay for next year and go down as one of State's best.

More like, if he stays he wont be 1 of the all time greats, but he will be good.

Me, I dunno. I don't see him reaching the Hodge level, but the Fuller or Googs ladder rung seems legit. Especially with the way he has showed improvements thus far.

And with the NBA's limit of 6 PFs, he'll be golden.

Googs and Fuller are on a higher rung than Hodge.

Fuller led the ACC in points and rebounds and googs averaged 22 and 10 his senior year.

He was also a legit triple threat. He was routinely in the top 10 for scoring, assists and rebounds.

And carried the team to a phenomenal win over UCONN that put us into the sweet 16.

Hodge and Googs/Fuller are on pretty similar college levels. Googs and Fuller also stood out because they played on much shittier teams. But I think Hodge should get their level of respect because he was the main reason we went to 4 straight NCAAs.

But Googs and Fuller had much more successful NBA careers (well Fuller kinda sucked, but at least he got some burn and stayed in the league longer than Hodge). Goods was an All-Star and 20/10 guy who made 20mil a year at one point.

In Hodge's defense, his NBA career was derailed after he got shot 3 times in the leg in a drive-by.

And he went on to have a successful 3-year career in the Australian NBL, which is bragable.

(well, he wasn't doing much of anything in the NBA in the couple years before being shot. but that's neither here nor there, we're talking about college careers!)

^^actually it was april, but you're right. but he had a less than imprssive rookie year.

(but he was amazing in college. 2nd-team acc as a rookie, Lorenzo Charels rebouding Award in '02 (do we still do that?), double-doubles in first collegiate game and first acc game, four career-highs during the '03 ACC tournie run, first wolfpacker to acheive a triple-double......)

Leslie is a second-rounder who might play his way into the lottery next year

CJ is not a "big guy". He's a three at the next level, Josh Howard minus the J. He needs a lot of work to be an impact guy in the NBA.

He's got to learn to dribble more than anything. I think we all cringe when he tries to make a dribble drive or bring the ball up court.

last year was the time for him to go if he wanted to do so. a majority of the top college talent stayed due to the NBA lockout. he'll stick around for next year, and with the way he has improved from last season to this season, i expect he'll be bringing a lot more to the table in terms of improvement to his overall game.

i hope he stays next year...but why stay when you lead a team to to an acc tourney championship and follow it up with an ncaa title? i fully support CJL testing the NBA waters after we win our 3rd national title

Adam Gold 'promised' that CJ Leslie would be in the draft after this season. He said that Leslie, Barnes and Rivers will all be in the draft even though none of them should be

I'm convinced that Gold says shit on the radio just to troll our fanbase

I fully expect Leslie to be in the draft, but Gold is talking out of his ass.

I mean...he'd be a tweener in the NBA because he still can't shoot or handle the ball that well. He's a SF in the NBA all day long...he just needs to improve his game.
