didn't say it was, thought it was amusing.

Odds on returning for 12-13 season?
2/19/2012 4:50:04 PM
With this draft? I'd say high chance of him returning
2/19/2012 4:57:14 PM
Yeah. I mean, what position will he play in the pros? He isn't big enough to be a power forward, and he hasn't shown the skills of wing. He needs another year to show that he can improve his shot and ball-handling.
2/19/2012 5:00:55 PM
i'm not saying he won't go pro, b/c kids make bad decisions all the time, but he can barely handle the ball in the acc. he's not going to do anything in the nba right now.
2/19/2012 5:08:23 PM
He has improved this year though for sure. His FG% is going up, and he has got a nice little jab step working out well for him that he has developed.
2/22/2012 3:38:28 PM
He's a freak athlete and he's learning how to better use his freak-athleticism. He's still not a exceptionally good basketball player though, but he's improving. Another year or two will certainly help his NBA stock.
2/22/2012 3:43:16 PM
I wish he would spit out his gum before the games.
2/22/2012 3:46:07 PM
2010-11 FG%: 43.3%2011-12 FG%: 50%2010-11 FT%: 54.2%2011-12 FT%: 63.2%[Edited on February 22, 2012 at 3:50 PM. Reason : nice improvements. especially on FTs]
2/22/2012 3:50:30 PM
some players claim gum helps them focus
Dont forget about that jab step.
2/22/2012 4:03:04 PM
that triple post move he put on Henson was a thing of beauty
2/22/2012 5:07:21 PM
He is either gonna bolt to the NBA a la Hickson Ced or stay for next year and go down as one of State's best.[Edited on February 22, 2012 at 7:58 PM. Reason : ced]
2/22/2012 7:57:40 PM
probably, though, it'll be somewhere in between.
2/22/2012 8:18:42 PM
he's gonna leave midway through next season?
2/22/2012 8:26:45 PM
hahayes
2/22/2012 8:27:24 PM
More like, if he stays he wont be 1 of the all time greats, but he will be good.Me, I dunno. I don't see him reaching the Hodge level, but the Fuller or Googs ladder rung seems legit. Especially with the way he has showed improvements thus far.[Edited on February 22, 2012 at 8:47 PM. Reason : wde]
2/22/2012 8:46:42 PM
i saw that.
2/22/2012 8:48:26 PM
And with the NBA's limit of 6 PFs, he'll be golden.

Hodge was an ACC POY.
2/23/2012 8:12:56 AM
Yeah, he currently isn't even holding the jock of any of those players...maybe sniffing it
2/23/2012 8:45:56 AM
2/23/2012 10:16:40 AM
Hodge and Googs/Fuller are on pretty similar college levels. Googs and Fuller also stood out because they played on much shittier teams. But I think Hodge should get their level of respect because he was the main reason we went to 4 straight NCAAs.But Googs and Fuller had much more successful NBA careers (well Fuller kinda sucked, but at least he got some burn and stayed in the league longer than Hodge). Goods was an All-Star and 20/10 guy who made 20mil a year at one point.
2/23/2012 10:35:06 AM
In Hodge's defense, his NBA career was derailed after he got shot 3 times in the leg in a drive-by.And he went on to have a successful 3-year career in the Australian NBL, which is bragable.
2/23/2012 10:50:54 AM
(well, he wasn't doing much of anything in the NBA in the couple years before being shot. but that's neither here nor there, we're talking about college careers!)
2/23/2012 10:53:54 AM
Hodge was shot the summer after his rookie year...
2/23/2012 10:57:25 AM
Lets not blame Hodge's NBA failures on getting shot. Come on now.
2/23/2012 11:00:18 AM
I wonder when we start to worry about CJL leaving this year or not. The end of the ACC tourney?
2/23/2012 11:04:43 AM
^^actually it was april, but you're right. but he had a less than imprssive rookie year.(but he was amazing in college. 2nd-team acc as a rookie, Lorenzo Charels rebouding Award in '02 (do we still do that?), double-doubles in first collegiate game and first acc game, four career-highs during the '03 ACC tournie run, first wolfpacker to acheive a triple-double......)[Edited on February 23, 2012 at 11:18 AM. I'm not worriedHe'll be back. From his UNC post-game comments he sounds like he wants to see this team through
2/23/2012 11:25:05 AM
He'll be back2013 mock draft slots Harrow ahead of Leslie http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft
2/23/2012 11:32:52 AM
^ and ^^ are you guys new to this or something? Big guys with potential will promise their hearts out to stick around and then bolt (Tristan Thompson last year).
2/23/2012 11:34:21 AM
Thompson was the fourth overall pickLeslie is a second-rounder who might play his way into the lottery next yearNo, I'm not new to this
2/23/2012 11:35:26 AM
CJ is not a "big guy". He's a three at the next level, Josh Howard minus the J. He needs a lot of work to be an impact guy in the NBA.
2/23/2012 11:35:39 AM
He's got to learn to dribble more than anything. I think we all cringe when he tries to make a dribble drive or bring the ball up court.
2/23/2012 11:38:14 AM
last year was the time for him to go if he wanted to do so. a majority of the top college talent stayed due to the NBA lockout. he'll stick around for next year, and with the way he has improved from last season to this season, i expect he'll be bringing a lot more to the table in terms of improvement to his overall game.
2/23/2012 11:57:15 AM
2/23/2012 12:10:22 PM
he's been a monster over the last 5 games. 19.2 ppg and 9.8 rpg
3/1/2012 12:25:19 AM
Dude is really goodHopefully his tweener status brings him back for another year
3/1/2012 1:07:59 AM
i hope he stays next year...but why stay when you lead a team to to an acc tourney championship and follow it up with an ncaa title? i fully support CJL testing the NBA waters after we win our 3rd national title
3/1/2012 1:16:16 AM
4th if you count the one that we should have had in 73[Edited on March 1, 2012 at 1:30 AM. Reason : undefeated season baby 8)]
3/1/2012 1:29:24 AM
Adam Gold 'promised' that CJ Leslie would be in the draft after this season. He said that Leslie, Barnes and Rivers will all be in the draft even though none of them should beI'm convinced that Gold says shit on the radio just to troll our fanbase
3/1/2012 8:04:50 AM
^^ I know what you're going for but you can't just count a season as a National Title season because it feels good...I fully expect Leslie to be in the draft, but Gold is talking out of his ass.
3/1/2012 8:08:50 AM
love this picture

3/1/2012 9:23:10 AM
^ I mean...he'd be a tweener in the NBA because he still can't shoot or handle the ball that well. He's a SF in the NBA all day long...he just needs to improve his game.
