26I don't think I've ever met a Hurricane fan who has thought Tripp Tracey was good at his job. In fact, while working at the ice rink in Greensboro, the consensus among everyone was that he is the worst analyst in the league.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 10:20 PM. Reason : 26]

"Goober" Tracey may be pretty bad but I suggest listening to the Devils audio sometime and attempt to endure about 10mins of their co-host Sherry Ross. I shutter to think the retarded love children that she and Tripp could have.

Oh I was definitely joking about Tripp being good at his job. I bet you could count at least 3 times a game where Forslund is at an absolute loss because of Tripp being an idiot. While I hate hearing his absurd comments, it's quite amusing hearing Johnny Rock in utter disbelief at what he is hearing out of Tripp's mouth.
11/30/2009 10:28:47 PM
While Tripp is an idiot a lot, I really like having him around and would probably miss him if he wasn't on there. It's especially nice to have him around for games that we really start sucking because then him and Forslund go off on some random tangent which makes it hilarious.

^^^I loled.I like the part with Pierre McGuire. If only he could be in a Mike Richards/Alex Ovechkin sandwich, he would be set. So much leadership and passion

I'd imagine so. He has been outspoken about Ovechkin in the past, I remember him fussing about how he leaves his feet to make hits and never gets called[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:50 PM. Reason : s]

^Yea, I remember one game where Ovechkin hit Hedican, and evidently left his feet, cause Hedican gave him a retaliatory shot and got the penalty.

Forslund spent a solid minute or two in a game a week ago trying to name all the members of KISS because of some tangent Tripp went off on, then realized what he was doing. I believe John even said, "ok, I need to stop talking about this before I get fired."side note: the 2010 NHL Draft appears to be in LA. nobody has officially announced it, but that's the leak going around. road trip?!?!!?]

Fuck Bruce Boudreau. He is forever making excuses for shit. Brucie, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO EAT A SANDWICH. Your boy just stuck his knee out on a guy and it's nobody's fault but his own. It's a dangerous play for both guys, but thankfully it looks like he only hurt himself. I've always said his reckless play is going to catch up to him one day. Whelp, looks like this could be it.Fuck that whole organization and their know-nothing bandwagon fans.
12/1/2009 10:48:22 AM
^The hit was worse than I thought last night, but I was sitting at a bad angle to see the leg stuck out. That said, not all Caps fans are bandwagon fans and that's funny coming from someone in Raleigh. I know there's a lot of die-hard Canes fans, but let's not have the pot calling the kettle black.I've been watching the Canes since they came to Greensboro, but I've been watching the Caps since '91 or so when I first started watching the NHL.And that's all I'll say on the subject since this isn't a Caps thread. Hopefully the Canes can get better sometime soon or Mo gets the can again.[Edited on December 1, 2009 at 12:38 PM. Reason : :]

^I too have been watching the Canes since they were in Greensboro, though I am not a Canes fan (I live in the 'boro, so it was awesome having an NHL team so close for two years).I am a Pens fan. We have our fair share of bandwagon fans as well, and you can tell who they are because they are the ones who call in to sports talk shows and claim that the only way to be successful is to trade Crosby. They are also the ones who wear Roethlisberger jerseys to games and yell "SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!" on the power play. But despite the lean years and low attendance in the early part of this decade, the Pens still had some of the best TV ratings in the US, so it's not like the Pens have been starving for fans until a couple years ago.Do I wish I could go back to the days when you could walk up to the window on gameday and buy 8 tickets in A level? Sure. Do I miss "big name" players like Rico Fata and Konstanin Koltsov? Absolutely not.I know there are many Caps fans who are die hards, but from my experience at Caps games in Raleigh, Pittsburgh, and Washington I discovered that there are a lot of bandwagon jumpers from the past three years that couldn't tell you who Dale Hunter is, or that you can hand pass the puck in your defensive zone. I mean for fucks sake, they boo obvious offside calls in that seizure inducing laser light show they call an arena. This was a more of rant that I wanted to make it, but I just get tired of the "ZOMG Ovechkin is teh best!!!11!! Crosby just crys, he doesnt deserv the c!!1!"[Edited on December 1, 2009 at 12:51 PM. ^ Ha! While you're at it, why don't you photoshop Mike Richards holding a cup?I lived in the DC suburbs while a teenager and followed the Caps. I knew one guy who was a Caps fan. ^^ Covered most of the ones i remember, impressed with the Michael Pivonka, I'd forgotten him. Dino Cicarelli was way better than I remembered. I just went back and looked at his numbers and they're really good, but as it essentially says in Wikipedia, he lost any shot at the HOF by being a douchebag.and: Joe JuneauCalle JohanssonRick Tabaracciand I remember when they drafted that idiot Brendan Witt, who was going to revolutionize hockey[Edited on December 1, 2009 at 1:36 PM. Blackhawks just extended Toews, Kane, and Keith, and now must immediately free up cap space for next season. NHL rules state that you cannot have more money committed to future seasons than the current salary cap. The Hawks have to clear $5 million in salary now.Unfortunately, a potential trade from us for Cam Barker may have just been blown to bits by Corvo getting hurt.
12/2/2009 8:56:07 PM
Wow... they just pulled a Penguins
12/2/2009 10:00:33 PM
This is JR we're talking about. We'd trade to get back Ladd first.
12/2/2009 10:52:28 PM
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your views on Ladd, trading him gains nothing for the Blackhawks as he is an RFA after this year. Any deals Chicago makes will likely involve any of the following players, and they must clear around $5 million of salary. Consequentially, any player they bring back in a trade must be on the final year of his contract.Patrick Sharp ($4.1 million)Dave Bolland ($3.375 million)Kris Versteeg ($3.083 million)Dustin Byfuglien ($3 million)Tomas Kopecky ($1.2 million)Troy Brouwer ($1 million)Brian Campbell ($7.14 million)Brent Seabrook ($3.5 million)Cam Barker ($3.125 million)Brent Sopel ($2 million)Cristobal Huet ($5.625 million)That Campbell signing looks even dumber now.Joe Corvo was highly likely before IMO to go to Chicago, but now I would imagine that is completely dead. Matt Cullen and Aaron Ward perhaps.[Edited on December 2, 2009 at 10:59 PM. Reason : .]
