when is the last time a vampire was staked on the show? seems like it hasn't happened since season 1. (long shadow?)
7/12/2010 10:50:28 AM
Long Shadow then Eddiea staking is def overdue...I agree

Do vampires poop and pee?
7/13/2010 6:33:32 AM
^I'd imagine not since all of their fluids appear to be blood. What about when they bwn? Do they cum blood?
7/13/2010 11:02:14 AM
I'm sure they fuck poop like only vampires can

Except for the navel piercings and beer guts, most white trash girls look like that when they take their tops off.

i thought tonight's episode was good
7/19/2010 2:21:01 AM
Chris Bauer as Andy Bellefleur is the best actor on this show.
7/19/2010 2:50:45 AM
This was the best episode of the season so far. But that's not saying much. Still lacking, but I think it's picking up.I'm hoping that Eric eventually kills the Mississippi king if he is the one that killed his father 1000 years ago. That had badass potential.
7/19/2010 6:50:57 AM
I agree. Best episode of the season, but thats akin to shinning up a turd. It was still overtly boring and slow. Its clear they had no idea what to do with Tara, Jason, and Sam. Same with secondary characters like Jessica and everyone else at Merlotts.Everything that happened in last nights episode could have happened in the first 15 minutes. Eric's line is the most interesting thing so far, even though it doesnt make much sense yet.I also think he was much more intimidating and 'badass' before he got the queer slick back hair do.
7/19/2010 8:56:30 AM
wtf is up with that Franklin dude? Is he just insane or what?
7/19/2010 9:00:19 AM
I bet living for hundreds of years could drive someone mad.But yeah, the last 10 minutes of this episode was the best episode this season.
7/19/2010 9:15:53 AM
Best episode of this season, by far. I actually enjoyed this one. I can deal with most of the plot lines, but I really could do without the Tara/Franklin one. Franklin came onto the scene as a badass dude, now he's just a whiny, jealous teenager who is pining after a girl.
7/19/2010 9:32:28 AM
What's up with Sam's Dad?
7/19/2010 9:45:06 AM
^^^Yeah but there are tons of vampires that at least appear waaaay older than him that are perfectly sane. Godric was thousands of years old and just grew really wise.
7/19/2010 10:36:12 AM
to be fair godric got all emo and /wrists

You != target audience of this show.Speaking of which, even my wife said last night "I thought there was an N for Nudity tonight, where the hell was it?"
7/19/2010 11:04:16 AM
^I think there was a little bit when viking Eric was hooking up with that girl.
7/19/2010 11:31:46 AM
Am I the only person who thinks this show is just as good as it ever was? From the first episode of the series, it's been nothing but mindless, carefree entertainment for me-- which I appreciate. It still serves the same exact purpose in my television viewing.
7/19/2010 4:30:03 PM
most likely.I'd agree that it's mostly mindless, care free, entertainment and has been from day one. But personally, I think the plot lines are far less interesting this season. At least so far, and it's half way through the season. And the real problem is the pacing. What should be fast-paced, mindless, entertaining television is moving so slow it leaves us time to notice all of the flaws. They're doing nothing with Jessica (which is one of the more interesting story lines to me, at least potential wise). Plus she's one of the more attractive people on the show. If you're going to suck up the story line, at least have the attractive people as involved as possible.Bill has been hanging around a mansion being a bitch all season. He has been one of the main characters the past two seasons and I wouldn't be surprised if he's had less lines, maybe even screen time, than Sam this season.Speaking of Sam; tired of the shitty family situation already. We get it, there's some bullshit between the dad and the son. They got that across several episodes ago, move on with the storyline. The werewolves aren't in the least bit bad ass compared to the vampires. After the way Bill beat the shit out of the guy last night, I don't think there's any argument left there. He was the head of the "special werewolf club" after all. Which isn't in and of itself a problem. But they've talked about werewolves being "tough" every season and especially this season. And from Eric, one of the stronger vampires we've seen, no less. They're really not living up to what the writers suggested they would be.The new vampire guy who kidnapped Tara had potential to be entertaining. Now he's just a crazy guy who kidnapped Tara. I'm actually alright with him being a little crazy. It adds an unpredictable element... assuming they use it right (which i don't have confidence that they will). I, like many others, don't really care for Tara. So I don't have any sympathy for her character at all. Seriously, I'd be ok with him killing her. For real killing her, not turning her. Or for her to simply escape on the next episode and be done with her "kidnapping" story line.I'm more interested in this girl Jason met than anything right now. Simply because of how slow everything else is moving.up until the last 5 minutes of the last episode, they had too much of not enough going on. All of the plot-lines are moving very slow. That is not good for mindless tv/movies. They need at least one or two of their 8 plot-lines to pick up the pace. Hopefully the events at the end of this episode will move the story into the second act and speed some things up.I'm worried they're gonna do the same thing that screwed up last season, try to pace drag it out so all of these mostly unrelated plot lines climax around the same time. It killed the mary-anne story line last season and took away from the vampire killing jesus camp, texas vampires, and Jessica dealing with new vampire stuff story lines -- the stuff that wasn't just regurgitating itself each week.

finally a good episode for this season.Franklin had me cracking up, showing how fast he could spell motherfucker. it also got me pretty interested in whats up with Jason's new girl, and whats up between Sam's brother and dad. by far the best episode of the season
7/19/2010 9:57:42 PM
my theory is franklin was crazy before he was turned, and now he's a psychopathic vampire.
7/19/2010 10:04:10 PM
that fast spelling was lame. The way he was typing any phone requires a certain amount of time between button presses to let you get the next letter if multiple letters are on the same key.technology fail
7/19/2010 10:31:29 PM
Right, 'cause it's unbelievable that a phone could accept such fast input. From a vampire.
7/19/2010 10:35:14 PM
we are led to believe the people are supernatural in this universewe are led to believe the technology mirrors our own.create as fantastic a world as you want, but you have to follow that world's rules.

I'm indifferent about this episode...I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it.There was enough meat and funny to leave me satisfied, but at the same time I'm wanting more. You all know these are based on books, and the third is one of my favorites. There's enough devaition from the plot that I'm not sure what's going to happen next...yet I'm still hoping they get to a few things. At this point the line is blurry and I can't tell if I'm disappointed in an episode itself or its deviation. It's usually why I watch these more than once...try and figure out which one it is.Love me an Eric flashback...Russell, Franklin, Eric/Talbott sexual tension, and Laffy getting a guy Do not love The Mickenses, Tommy hitting on jessica[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 9:06 AM. there's also the fact that in a world with known vampires phones could be set up in such a way to allow them to do their thing. there could even be vampire-owned cell phone companies that target cell phone features specifically at vampires. just sayin.
7/20/2010 9:03:49 AM
I think you are reading too far in to it now.

I'm glad that LaFayette is getting a love story, he's been through a lot of crap in the show.
